Just my guess...

She was drunk inside DHS, then had to go outside the park for her smoke. Anger level increased, because she was now forced to smoke outside of the parks. Forgot her smokes with someone inside the parks. Even madder. Thought she saw a cabbie smoking, maybe it was a vape pen. Cabbie knew she was drama and did not share, he just wants his next fare, not some drunk sloppy ole lady.

She exploded.

Now, I might know a bit about drinking, and one thing I do know is, even if you do several shots of tequila in the parking lot, you do not end up a violent mess before you get into the park. She was either wasted before she got to DHS, or at DHS. My guess, she looks like a Jim Beam and soda in a 32 ounce bottle smuggled into the park.

That said, there's a minority of folks who just become idiots around the third drink. This lady is obviously one of them. I've been drinking for decades since I was in my late teens, across several generations, and have never once been asked to leave a business (bar, restaurant, theme park), never once been involved with the police or security when I'm drinking (bouncers, police or sheriff, MP's on or off base, etc.), and never even been involved in a fight or serious argument with others when drinking.

On my third cocktail in public, I just want someone to play something on the jukebox that I can Twist to, and I'm happy as a drunk clam. But this lady is cut from very different cloth.

The only vague connection this sloppy drunk has to Disney World is that eventually one of her messy benders had her on WDW property. Just one look at her tells you all you need to know. I'd steer clear of her even when she's sober, because she just has that look.

I'm like you - happy, silly drunk who just wants to have fun (everyone I know says it's really entertaining to see me drunk, lol) and never had a run-in with any officials, but there are some people to whom alcohol is almost like poison and you can actually see and hear the change happen in them. It's like flicking a switch, and suddenly the person they are when they're sober is gone and in their place is a belligerent, arrogant jerk. Please don't judge people by how they look, though...I have long hair, and wear glasses and don't usually wear make-up (especially at Disney - because who wants to look like a melting mannequin!), but you'd never catch me behaving the way she did. I WILL go so far as to judge her choice in clothing though...more often than not, someone advertising their love for imbibing in liquor or any other substance already has a chip on their shoulder and is looking for trouble...thinking they're a rebel of some sort.

I'd also like to add that this is one of the reasons I think it was a huge mistake to move the smoking areas out of the parks - drinking exacerbates the desire to smoke...combine that with the wrong personality type and you're basically setting people up to get themselves into trouble...

No. It is the alcohol. In my experience it is an addictive substance that makes everyone intolerable. Everyone that drinks... everyone... says 'No no. It's not me. I am a responsible drinker. It must be everyone else that is the problem'. That is a telltale sign of a big issue with consumption.

Not sure if you were baiting people with this post but it worked. But to bite and play devil's advocate, if a person has one beer. ONE beer. That person is now intolerable?

While I do think many people do not realize how badly/irritatingly they act after a drink or two (you see a lot of drinkers/drunks when you work night audit at a hotel), I also have seen lots of responsible drinkers. There's no blanket "drinkers act like X" rule. Clearly she's a mean drunk. I'm willing to bet this is not the first problem she's had at WDW.

It's the person, not the alcohol. Many, many people know how to drink responsibly and enjoy a few. I personally enjoy a nice glass of wine or a good craft beer or two at times. I like having a Bass Ale from the Rose and Crown while watching the best nighttime spectacular ever created (Side note: ). But I never have so much that I am stumbling all over the place, especially in a place like Disney. In my younger days, even when I did occasionally get that drunk, I was never violent. It's not in my nature.

Alcohol is not shoved in your face. A few bottles on a kiosk, or beer tap, it is pretty low key. For decades I have been exposed to countless ads for cigarettes, but, I still don't smoke. I don't like smoking, I just ignore the ads.

The photos of that woman show her wearing a "5:00 Somewhere" shirt. The professional alcoholic does not wear a shirt like that, better to not advertise that you might be getting wasted. There was also a photo of just her and Tink, I find 50 year olds posing by themselves with a character to be creepy.

One less weirdo who can't handle their drink is good.

Actually,
Banning cig advertisements increased profits for the cig companies. The only thing that slowed down consumption was education and a 1000% increase in price.
Banning booze altogether in the 1930s in the US did not keep people from drinking.

I would say a good rule of thumb is to worry about yourself and to not try and tell others what to do.

That's not backed up by the science. Alcohol can make someone impaired. But it doesn't make someone violent who doesn't already have violent tendencies.

In other words, alcohol doesn't turn someone into a violent person. It can make a violent person more violent. It's also possible to enjoy a drink or two and not become impaired. That's why there's a legal limit for driving, not an outright prohibition.

You can get good and trashed and go to the parks as long as you’re not being vulgar, profane, stumbling around and bumping into everybody, invading people’s personal space, not being a danger to yourself or others, etc. Disney sells alcohol at all the parks, at all the bars and restaurants at the resorts...hell, the gift shop in the main lobby sells liquor. It’s okay to get drunk in the parks and of course you can get sloshed in your room or at the pools, all serviced by pool-side bars. I drank a Corona on my way from my room to the bus stop every day on my last trip. I’m not sure if that was technically allowed, but considering all the above, Disney really blurs the lines... We always pre-gamed on store bought beer and liquor in the rooms before hitting the parks for the evening. (Not for extra extra early magic hours, LOL) Then buy a few drinks when we get there. No way I’m spending $185 just to get buzzed at Epcot.

To be really honest I really do not like the idea of the parks selling alcohol. I think a exception should be only served at the nicer full service restaurants. Just too many idiots that completly ruin the atmosphere for everyone else especially all the kids!

First, I am not a fan of smoking. I quit more than 20 yrs ago and I encourage anyone who does smoke to quit.
Second, there are no facts to back up that "second hand smoke" is an issue. You may not like how it smells, etc., but it is not a health risk.

Anyone you find who says it is, is basing their opinion on pseudo science. When you really look at the solid studies done on it, there is statistically no difference between those being exposed to second hand smoke regularly and those who are not.

It's just one of those things where people go "Smoking is bad", "It must be bad to be near it", "Second hand smoke is bad."
But it is not.

That being said, if you smoke, quit. It will kill you.
