Fireworks Dessert Party - $99.00
Entire box of Little Debbie Snack Cakes - $1.99
Think I'll be bringing in Little Debbie.
Of course, we were priced out of the dessert party years ago, just did not see the value and we prefer to enjoy MK right up until time for the fireworks to start then we just...wait for it...look up. Simple, fun and no additional cost. Have never staked out a spot early.

Don't care that the price went up a few bucks. I'm not on the I'd never bandwagon. I do because I will not settle for the mosh pit of the hub, like to have seating and a cup of coffee or tea while waiting and refuse to engage in the silliness of kids on shoulders, iPad / phones raised in the air, or guests feigning knowledge of simple English-language phrases so they can remain in in the walkways. Not elitism... just not dealing with entitled behavior from other guests.

And nothing wrong with that. If it adds to your enjoyment and fits your budget then that it why there are options available. For me, I think $99 to avoid silliness is a little too much for me, but I've been dealing with silliness for a long time and find it fairly easy to not get too worked up by others behavior. Of course, I might just go nuts one day, grab an iPad and toss it as far as I can, right before I get escorted out.

I’d like to point out that I had an entire country overlook ( France) guarded by 6 nametags wielding lightsaber for $18 an adult and $9 a child.

Now that was in 2004...when illuminations was still good - so awhile ago. 😎

But I don’t see everyone’s problem? Obviously 467% inflation for lesser product is reasonable and expected, right?

Carry on

I loved this dessert party at first. The food was awesome and the ability to watch the fireworks while sitting in the hub grass was worth it to me. Last time I did it I hated it. I was packed in the hub grass and the food options were much more limited. I did write a letter sharing my experience with guest relations. They gave me a partial refund. That’s not what I wanted. I was hoping my input with matter. Silly me 😒 Put me in the never again crowd with the price increase because you know it’s not going to mean an increase in quality 🙄

To put into perspective how expensive these "parties" are for some cupcakes, I'm from NYC and I have paid for whole meals at Michelin star restaurants that are cheaper than these parties. I don't do this regularly either, much like I don't go to WDW often either.

Seriously so ridiculous. And the food is usually trash...
