Rumor Brazil (and maybe others) Pavilion Coming to Epcot [not about Brazilian people nor a country wish list]

So, that's not really any insider info, but speculation: "Surely WDW would not allow a country in such turmoil to join World Showcase to come to Epcot!"

All the while forgetting that it's rarely the country that does the sponsorship, but big corporations (which are likely to do well if Brazil takes a turn to the right). And that WDW let in a Communist country known for their human rights violations.... Canada!

Can we please remove political conversation from this thread. There is a board for that, it is not needed here.

If we want to boil it down to something less specific, my only argument would be that for Disney the image of any country they are thinking of adding to WS will be relevant and right now things are in flux regarding Brazil. For that reason, I don't think they'll be rushing to announce a Brazil pavilion anytime soon.

The moderators have stated many times that political conversations should be left to that board. It is not needed here.
Ok, they (or you?) can obviously delete it. Just giving my perspective on the likelihood of progress on the pavilion as someone who works on the region and has spent a lot of time over the past few weeks involved in discussions with specialists about what's going on in Brazil more generally.

If Brazil ends up getting axed, I don't think it will be because of controversy or political instability. Remember, they made Israel and the "ride" through Jerusalem the focus of the Millennium Village. No, it will because the corporate sponsor ponying up the cash falls through.

man... like...
i know insiders are all about this.
and i really want it to be true.
but... like...
i'll believe it when i see it.
and i know that's me being a pessimist.
but seeing a new epcot pavilion seems about as rare as taking part in a sane political discussion... i know it can happen in theory but my cynicism is high.

You aren't the only one.

To be fair, its been like 30 years since they added one, so skepticism is warranted.

Especially if it has 2 TSRs and an E.

This would be highly impressive if it actually comes to fruition.

On the topic of E-tickets that would fit the Brazil pavilion, I wonder if the plans for the rainforest coaster from Project Gemini have been dusted off and reimagined? Haven't read through this entire thread but has that been discussed at all?
