Trip Report JenniferS is live - 9/3 - 9/16

Technically this is a pre-trip report, but we’ll be going live in less than a week!

This will be my third live September trip report.

It’s going to be a lot of same old/same old, as the cast, location, and ADR’s are pretty much the same. What can I say - we like what we like. And what we like is each other, Walt Disney World, Coronado Springs, and Free Disney Dining.

First, the who.
Me, JenniferS - Uber planning, pixie dust snorting Disney-aholic, 51 year old kid at heart (despite what the mirror says).

This is Hubby. He likes the Tar Heels, the Blue Jays, food, beer, and me. Not necessarily in that order.
The words most often heard coming out of his mouth are “Whatever you want, Baby.”

This is us. We are adorable together. We’re each other’s ride or die.

Last year, we were celebrating my 50th birthday (as much as women celebrate these “milestones”).

This year, we are celebrating Mike’s 50th (both of us born in August, so it’s close enough to count) AND our 25th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

We have children, but we don’t bring them to Disney very often anymore. If they decide to get married and start giving us grand-babies, I will re-visit this decision. But for now, they stay home. We are on Jen and Mike time.

After two live trip reports, I’m not sure how wordy this report will be, but it will be heavy on pics, most especially of food! As Mike says - I’m only here for the food.

To be continued ....

Unless the wait time someday levels out, or they change the tier restrictions, I will never see the inside of that ride again. It certainly is pretty, and I'd like to, but FoP gets my FP EVERY time and it's just too short for me to justify a 45 minute wait. I think I could go as high as 25.

You know what's funny?

Last year when we did rope drop at AK, my bro-in-law and I waited in standby for FOP (90 minutes maybe?), while the rest of the family did NRJ two times in a row. It was a walk on the first time they went on it, and about 15 minutes the second time. It obviously filled up after that. But if you want to do it, rope drop is your best bet.

We were killing time.
Done the Safari now too.

In line for lunch. 😲

The NRJ with FP again, and then we’re going swimming!

Our driver’s name was Dana.
Her knowledge of the animals was exceptional. When she was prattling on about the animals, she was really good. She was clearly uncomfortable with the canned “script” stuff though.
Anyway, two thumbs up for Dana.

A Nile Crocodile can grow as long as a giraffe is tall. Did not know that!

Lunch. At 11:30. Hey, I’ve been up since before 7:00.

I got the beef bowl with sweet potato hash and creamy herb dressing.

I knew Mike would get the new noodle bowl.

Sitting beside a family at Satu’li Canteen and I am eavesdropping as they are rating various rides. I stopped listening when they said Universal rides were better.

They are probably not Ball people.
Haha!
To a hardcore Disney person like me, it's tough to comprehend that some people actually prefer Universal.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a Universal visit now and then. It's a fun place.
But the "Magic" is just so undeniably lower than Disney. (my humble, but correct opinion)

I guess some people just can't fully connect with "Disney Magic".
I am so blessed to not be one of those people!!

What did Mike think of the noodle bowl? It wasn't offered when we were there in May.
Yes, inquiring minds want to know...
He said it was very good. The broccoli tasted a smidge weird, but he liked it a lot more than the non-Ball lovers at the next table did.

I had a forkful. I liked it too, although not as much as my bowl. We are probably eating there again next week. Mike said he would order it again.
