"During a traditional maritime ceremony held today in Bremerhaven, Germany, Disney Cruise Line took delivery of our newest ship, the Disney Wish!

Delivery is the final milestone in the ship’s construction journey, which began more than two years ago at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany and was made possible through thousands of shipyard workers and the creative vision of Disney Imagineers.

Disney Cruise Line President Thomas Mazloum and Meyer Werft Managing Director Jan Meyer signed the official documents transferring ownership of the Disney Wish from the shipbuilder to Disney.

Numerous Meyer Weft and Disney Cruise Line executives came together to witness the lowering of the Meyer Werft flag and raising of the Disney Cruise Line flag on the ship.

Disney Cruise Line presented Meyer Werft with an elegant Cinderella statuette commemorating the beautiful life-sized bronze statue that welcomes guests in the ship’s Grand Hall. A pillar of The Walt Disney Company’s legacy, Cinderella’s story is the epitome of magic transforming wishes into dreams and dreams into reality.

Following the ceremony, Captain Marco Nogara took the helm of the Disney Wish for the transatlantic voyage from Bremerhaven to her home in Port Canaveral, Florida."

Port Canaveral has released information on how to view the arrival of the Disney Wish -

"Port Canaveral today released its plan for public access to the Port to view the arrival of Disney Cruise Line’s new cruise ship, the Disney Wish, which is scheduled to arrive at Port Canaveral early Monday morning, June 20th to Cruise Terminal 8 (CT8). Subject to change, currently the Disney Wish is expected to pass Jetty Park shortly after 5:00 a.m. and proceed to the West Turning Basin, where she will dock at CT8 by 5:40 a.m. Visitors may view the Disney Wish’s arrival and from Jetty Park, or from The Cove district.

Access to viewing points at Port Canaveral will be limited, and traffic in and around the Port will be controlled. Jetty Park will open at 4 a.m. on Monday, June 20.

“We have anticipated this homecoming of the Disney Wish for some time, and we know that our Port community is excited to watch her arrive at the Port,” said Port CEO Capt. John Murray. “Our public safety team has worked with Brevard County Sheriff’s Office to ensure access to viewing points while maintaining our port wide focus on public safety.”

The Port’s plan was jointly developed by Brevard County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), Canaveral Fire Rescue and Canaveral Port Authority Public Safety to minimize traffic congestion, ensure public safety, and promote a safe environment for Port employees, contractors, tenants, and the community.

Port Canaveral highly recommends that visitors and guests consider there may be limitations for public parking at the Port on Monday.

No drone photography will be permitted from the Port without prior approval of CPA’s Public Safety and Security Department."

Don't know if it's reputable, but there is talk on social media that there are some major problems on the Wish right now which may have an impact on things.

I'm just passing along what is being whispered. I have no knowledge if any of it is accurate.

Better now than to pull a “wonder of the seas”
