The Great Gathering of Legends
susana-pardo-mapa-peq.jpg

Serving as the centerpiece of World Showcase, this epic-scaled dark ride see a seemingly unassuming library play host all the greatest myths and legends from the four corners of the world, taking guest through the adventures of Sun Wukong, the reign of King Arthur, the stories of Anansi and many more legends that have shaped human culture.

For the bonus
I really like how this concept ties in all of World Showcase together - I think this is something in many ways is missing from the present day World Showcase. Also kudos for being the first submission!

The Industrial Revolution: Rise of MachineryView attachment 601685
Serving as one of the highlight attractions of the Disneyland Resort’s new second gate, this new thrilling coaster serves as a way to attract more of the older crowd to the World Showcase part of the park. During the ride, you are launched out by one of those new electrical steampunk objects (kind of like Rockin Roller Coaster at DHS, but unique enough) and you blast through these new machines, this ride also features a few inversions. This ride’s factory-like show building will be located between the America and Europe areas as a transition of sorts.

Bonus:

Universal Monsters: Creature from the Black Lagoon on the Proposals
This concept definitely leans in heavy on the edutainment and is something akin to what would have been seen at Disney's America - and being a big fan of that park concept - this is definitely intriguing. It would almost serve as the park's signature coaster, akin to Incredicoaster today.

SpaceStation Earth

spacestation-600x302.jpg

In WestCOT's own exclusive take on the iconic dark ride, guests will take a voyage through time that displays how innovators and artists across the globe helped to create the future step by step, in this grand celebration of humanity and what we can achieve together.

Bonus: The Proposal
Fitting proposal for the icon of the original design - this falls in line with a similar style to Spaceship Earth, but almost a combo of World of Motion as well, connecting the innovators and artists together with the historical aspect.

Journey Into The Center Of The Brain
View attachment 601777
Acting as a mishmash of a bunch of EPCOT rides, Journey Into The Center Of The Brain will have guests enter The Dreamscape, as they explore not only creativity, but also dreams. In their journey, guests’ll be helped by Dreamfinder and Figment. Also it’ll probably suck “Donkey” later in it’s life cause boo Bob Chapek generic Disney fan thing said please give me points.
This is an interesting combo of attraction themes for sure - and also bringing Dreamfinder and Figment over to the West Coast - I would hope this attraction if created would have been able to keep its original vision!

Located within the African Pavilion lies a grand Egyptian palace from the golden age of pharaohs, where guests may board solar barges and traverse the rivers of the Underworld, following the Sun god Ra on his journey of rebirth, encountering the magnificent Egyptian gods and vicious monsters along the way.

BONUS: BUCKY O'HARE!
This sounds like such a cool attraction taking a bit of mythos with a bit of history something that would really fit this park well!

Our Shared Story

Cro-Magnon-Scene-Spaceship-Earth.jpg

If Spaceship Earth runs the gamut of human communication, then Our Shared Story runs the gamut of human history as a whole. In this celebration of human spirit and innovation, we are taken on a trip through time to view great moments and people from throughout our history; from the earliest days of the caveman to our modern days.
Much like Dash's design this attraction would really be a nice counterpart to its east coast comparisons taking the best of Epcot's classic dark rides such as Spaceship Earth, Horizons, World of Motion, etc - and presenting it with a new spin to a new audience, much how it seems like the new SSE design whenever it gets built, will take into account.

Voyage to the Fairylands
children-of-lir-swans-fairytale-714x1024.jpg
Located in the European Corner of the Worlds, Voyage to the Fairylands centers around the mythology of faeries; a staple of the British Isles. Guests embark on old wooden boats down a canal into deep woodland and with granted passage from the Lady of the Lake, the boats fly off under the fading evening sky into the Fairy Realms, where fae both benevolent and malignant mainly reside. The ride also utilize advanced (for its time) illusions, effects, and AAs for certain show scenes; such as above, where the Queen of the Faeries bids us farewell and her swan maidens transform and guide guests out of the Fairylands.
Bonus: The Proposal
I like how this represents mythology rarely touched upon in designs for Epcot and World Showcase - this would be a very unique offering for a park that is looking to distinguish itself from its east coast cousin!

Tunnels of Time

View attachment 601939

Take a trip around time with this new high-speed indoor coaster that takes you through Time Tunnels. Created by the Time Travel Institute, these Time Tunnels are pathways that take guests to different time periods in any universe that may exist in the grand space above us.

BONUS: Oh wait...
A time traveling attraction is always fun and I think would be neat as an indoor coaster with swirling light effects and digital wormholes surrounding you!

Zambia River Falls
View attachment 601995
Located in the African section of World Showcase, Zambia River Falls is a fast-paced water ride (you will get wet) that will be sure to thrill guests. In between whirlpools and other rapids, guests will learn about the positive conservation efforts taking place in southern Africa. The climax of the river raft ride is the 50-foot drop.
After the success of Splash Mountain in Disneyland in the late 80s, this will balance the water thrill rides in the two parks! Very fitting and I think would be an enhancement over the River Run that stands today

Bonus +1 (also love the art that you have been doing for Proposal!)

The World Of Tomorrow

The World Of Tomorrow: A hybrid dark ride exploring the inventions and beauty of the past, while staying true to the ideals of tomorrow. Located in Future World, we look to educate people on the past while exciting them for tomorrow. Mix of a Roller Coaster, Drop Ride, Slow Ride and Spinny Ride (Basically combo of Rock N Roller, ToT, Splash Mountain and Tea Cups).

This sounds like a very thrilling attraction - I think perhaps incorporating a lot of elements that while available at the time period of 1991, would be very high tech combining together - almost a first generation Gringotts attraction from the look of things.

Thank you everyone for the proposals! It's a great start to the game and welcome back to some of our old-timers and newcomers as well. With that said, as with many of these One Sentence Comps, the margin between submissions is always so thin as there were many great proposals, but here were some favorites!

The Mines

The Mines is a quick service location where you get to see the dwarves hard at work thru original concept art from the movie (via Disney Animation). Being themed to Walt's original, Snow White, you have to be big and grand, so we have many diamonds and many different scene rooms inspired by the movie. Located in Fantasyland

As part of the new Frontierland of the new Euro Disneyland Resort, guests are invited to get some barbecue from this walk-up stagecoach restaurant. This will be where the Pocahontas playground is in our world, which means that you can sit down and eat your food while watching Big Thunder Mountain go by. Food served here is simple barbecue ribs, burgers, barbecue chicken, turkey legs, and soft drinks.

Crèmerie de la Jungle (Jungle Creamery)
https:///wp-content/uploads/2021/07/disneyland-dole-whip-split-1-800x400.jpeg
Though the ever iconic attraction is unfortunately absent in Paris, that hasn't stopped the Jungle Navigation Co. from soft serving their cream of the crop with the Jungle Creamery; built out of a warehouse where the Indus Iclyn used to operate from on her voyages through the Himalayas until she got caught in a blizzard during an expedition and has subsequently been put on ice while the company is drumming up enough cold cash to cover their losses. But until then (which is never), this pint-sized wonder of the world offers a rotating menu of snow many exotic flavors of ice cream, ice cream sandwiches (most times using cookies with personal choice of ice cream, but adds the option of donuts during special events), popsicles, milkshakes, and sundaes, all themed around the boats, sights, and animals, with the classic Jungle Cruise alliteration and jokes sprinkled on top. The restaurant can be found above the Explorer's Club, with its front windows offering a panoramic view of the La Cabane des Robinson, momentos from previous expeditions and members on displays above the booths and counter, bags, baskets, crates, and containers of ingredients and treasures, and the aforementioned Indus Iclyn moored at a pier outside among parts and wrecks, “sneezing” once in a while from her cold.
