Disney Imagination Pioneer Adventure
Disney Warrior's Disneyland Texas needed a next-door neighbor, so I decided on DIPA. This Disney Park should explore the value of imagination. The park should have the following areas:
Imagination Road
This entryway of Disney Imagination Pioneer Adventure, Imagination Road, is based on the scrapped WestCOT idea done by Disney Imagineering, it is a retro-future-inspired area. This should be the way to enter the park.
Beastly Kingdom
This area of the park is inspired by the abandoned Beastly Kingdom concept and is divided into two parts. One part is home to good creatures like unicorns and fairies, while the other part is home to more evil dragons, jinns, and other malevolent creatures.
Mythica
Based on the abandoned Mythica concept. The land housed Roman/Greek myths and legends.
Cartoon City
The area is based on old-fashioned Disney cartoons. Watch out for Pegleg Pete.

Imagination Road is Disney Imagination Pioneer Adventure's equivalent to Main Street, USA, based on the WestCOT and Edison Square concepts done by Imagineers. It is divided into two sections; WestCOT, the western equivalent to EPCOT, and Edison Square, an electricity-inspired section based on the Edison Square concept. I'm gonna build two attractions for Imagination Road: Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters for Imagination Road's WestCOT section and Carousel of Progress: A General Electric Story for the Edison Square section of Imagination Road.

Buzz Lightyear Laser Chasers

It was going to be called Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, but I decided to upgrade it.
I feel like the first upgrade would be the addition of power-ups to the ride, and the queue being updated to higher-tech, with windows showing us space scenes.

The space scenes in the windows depict not only stars, planets, comets, and more, but also a busy day at Star Command. You will also see wanted posters for various enemies of Star Command, and news reports on ongoing problems, many caused by Zurg. Suddenly… Zurg sends an ultimatum, pinned to the Star Command base. The ultimatum discusses the batteries that Star Command have in their possession, and that Zurg believes that him using them would create a better world, even if it is one he ruled. The ultimatum is then read out on a computer monitor with an announcer. We also see some of the batteries Star Command has, and some are being used to power the monitor. Suddenly, the batteries are stolen, and the room goes dark. Buzz then emerges on a podium, his presence illuminating the room, giving riders a mission briefing concerning the conflict. He then informs us about the power-ups added to the ride.

The next room introduces us to our vehicles, demonstrating seating and aiming. The guns can be lifted off of the vehicle and aimed, and continuously fired. There is also a gauge for the current power up, showing how many times you can fire it. Between each pair of guns, there is a screen showing life bars for designated targets, as well as a timer corresponding to how long each boss target is present on the ride. Defeat the boss within the time limit to earn bonus points. Just outside is the loading area, themed to the outer decks of Star command, with a patrol hatch opened wide. Now you can get seated at the moving walkway and buckle in before preparing to take aim. Ready?

Our first area is on the outside of the Star Command base, where a large drilling bomb robot has affixed itself to the antenna, and is drilling a hole in Star Command, ready to attach Bombs to destroy the base. This is our first boss target, with a 30 second time limit. The targets are along the 5 arms of the robot, as well as its core. It’s core has the highest value target (diamond-shaped), as the arms have targets of lower value. The spinning drill also has four targets on it, but they’re harder to hit. These targets give you the power-up known as Nova Roasting, which deals continuous damage to targets.

Next area is a civilian trade center, where Hornets appear as non-boss targets, who can be hit in the chest and the centers of their cannons. However, the boss is Gigantobot, vulnerable in the same areas it usually is. It tears through a banner reading “Zurg Control For a Brighter Tomorrow!” Underneath a fruit cart is another power-up; Wide 7, which hits adjacent targets to the target struck in a 2-meter radius. One of the pieces of rubble shot by Gigantobot is another copy of Nova Roasting.

After this, we make landing on Planet Z, where in the swamps we see many of Zurg’s evil creatures from other versions of the ride preparing to attack the riders, with the area’s boss being Warp Darkmatter, descending from the ceiling to attack riders, firing off missiles that can be struck with your beam. Attack the palm of his claw arm for the most score. Near the end of the room, a second Darkmatter animatronic appears, with this being treated as the boss’s second phase. Next is a spaceport on Planet Z, with the ship’s door being guarded with a worm-like mechanism that rotates around, showing various symbols to hit. Non-boss targets include the hornets again as well as a few Grubs and Brains. Try to flip over the supply trucks to reveal more power ups, such as the Parabola Hunter, which would double point bonuses for hits. Then you enter the supply shuttle, and make your way to the control system, and rewire it to make the escape! The boss is another confrontation with Warp Darkmatter.

You end up on the surface of a desolate moon, the true base of Zurg, surrounded by his mechanical minions. A gateway opens, and Zurg spots you, escaping while firing back at you. He then turns the tables, as your vehicle reverses! Zurg is now chasing YOU down and firing, as you come to the final confrontation between him and Buzz, where Buzz manages to hold him off, and Zurg tries to summon lightning, which leads to his own downfall as he literally falls down from his platform. The last room shows the LGMs and Booster retrieving the batteries from Zurg’s clutch, and then firing some out of a cannon, to give to other planets in the galaxy in a form of acknowledgement that they were selfish in hoarding the batteries. Then as we exit, we see Zurg’s hand emerge from a pit…

The exit queue has more windows showing space scenes, plus a glimpse at the dorms of a few Star Command members, and then the gift shop.
But there IS one more power-up; Time Flash, which renders a target that normally moves briefly frozen, such as the drill on the drill robot.

I love the various ideas for the queue. Disney has been doing better queue experiences lately like "Peter Pan's Flight". So it's definitely possible for them to do, especially in the bigger parks. It's much better than the common, everyday switchback queues. Where all you have to look at are strangers.

There could even be News Bulletins on the screens during the queue. That talk about the convicts who've escaped the Star Base prisons. Which you and others can hunt down while on the ride for bonuses.

Good idea.
