Hot takes:

-For all the hype about vocals in many languages, the show at it's most effective and moving during the instrumental moments. The vocals slow down the pacing. A lot. The show drags.
-For all the hype about the tech, the show pulled not one single technologically impressive surprise. It's all laid out there for you to see on the lagoon from the moment you walk in. The water effects continue to just whelm.
-The show pulls surprisingly little from its setting. I have no sense of World Showcase, Epcot, or the unification of humanity promised in the syllabus.

I mean, the deck was stacked against it from the start for me... maybe it'll grow on me. but... hmmmm. Sigh.

.. oh wait, it's still not done... or is it..? Wow awkward ending and walk-out choice there..... I guess it is done!

Ending is like an afterthought.

Come on man. They were flinging around many-ton steel structures like they were made of styrofoam. The engineering was awesome.

I don't disagree with that!

But 1) they shouldn't have cheaped out on the dock outside of the lagoon.
2) For the engineering to matter, you have to have excellent show production. The production here (particularly the lack of any discernable connecting thread) is just not up to Disney, or even Orlando-standards.

I thought it looked cool…”Some day” at the end, thematically, feels like “Let there be Peace on Earth.”

I view this as, “imagine you are going around the world listening to musicians singing Disney music.”

I liked the show and the soundtrack but the finale was kind of weak.

Someday as the finale song works for me. The opening though with Moana and Hercules may not be the best choice as I have heard it hundreds of times in the preview center. Technically, the show is great with all the lights and fountains and screens are very clear. It is just lacking in the emotion department.
