In the '70s, was it still called the Magic Kingdom?

The plumber’s union contract has to be negotiated just as does the ditch digger’s union contract. Indeed, I was saving that for later in the discussion. Since you brought it up, it shows that the term "Magic Kingdom" is generic to Disney rather than specific to one theme park.

In the '70s, was it still called the Magic Kingdom?

Not for the groundbreaking of the theme park or the construction of the utilidors, etc. Labor unions are particular about that sort of language. :lookaroun

In the '70s, was it still called the Magic Kingdom?

Did someone say, “legalistic?” None of the legal documents that were drawn up to finance or build Walt Disney World mention anything about the Magic Kingdom. The Florida Legislature had to pass a law to allow the creation of the Reedy Creek Improvement District enabling Walt Disney...

In the '70s, was it still called the Magic Kingdom?

Roy O. Disney said, “Everyone has heard of the Ford cars. But have they all heard of Henry Ford, who started it all? Walt Disney World is in memory of the man who started it all, so people will know his name as long as Walt Disney World is here."

In the '70s, was it still called the Magic Kingdom?

"Up until the early 1990s, the Magic Kingdom was officially known as the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom, and was never printed without the Walt Disney World prefix. This was to differentiate between the park and Disneyland in California, which was and is also commonly referred to as the Magic...

In the '70s, was it still called the Magic Kingdom?

It is always my sincere hope that others will do research as well. My research supports the following conclusions: Epcot, Disney/MGM Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom all have dedication plaques. At the top of each plaque is the name of the park. The words, “Walt Disney World” do not...

In the '70s, was it still called the Magic Kingdom?

The proof is in the dedication plaque. It was known as "Walt Disney World". It was called a Magic Kingdom, not the Magic Kingdom. Therefore, Walt Disney World it is! WALT DISNEY WORLD is a tribute to the philosophy and life of Walter Elias Disney... and to the talents, the...

    Should I be sad?

According to the USA Center for Disease Control (The CDC): Question: “What is the risk of rabies from squirrels, mice, rats, and other rodents?" Answer: "Small rodents (such as squirrels, rats, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, and chipmunks) and lagomorphs (such as rabbits and...

Beware: Bus driver's ....stories of getting lost on busses in WDW

In reality, none of those events were a mistake. The bottom has dropped out of DVC sales and the DVC sales staff has now resorted to slipping a few extra dollars to the bus drivers so they will “mistakenly” turn into the SSR and drive around the place. It’s just another desperate DVC sales...
