Theme Park History has a video of the entire countdown to extinction history from 1998-2000. It does mention that one of the cosmetic changes made by Eisner between the closing of Countdown and its eventual reopening as Dinosaur was that the meteor at the end was changed to the Carnotaurus head...
I live here... if the rain bothers you then Florida isn't the place for you. It won't derail your Disney vacation as long as it's just rain. If there's lightning, they will shut down the outside rides for a while. The only way it ruins your trip is if you let it.
Going to the beach away from...
Regardless of how this turns out... perhaps sell the film rights to Disney. Make some money for the next vacation... or sequel if the first does well enough...
Without really looking at anything else... does this mean we're getting another Disney ride name acronym that just sounds wrong... in this case MF ride... Kinda like Monsters Inc Laugh Floor (MILF) etc...
It's hard to say... it's weird because it's only about 10 miles or so up a highway and it shouldn't take more than like 15-20 minutes but traffic here isn't normal.
I would think it'd be fine but if there's any delays (and 4 is having plenty with the Ultimate project and other construction)...
I-4 on a Friday night at prime time... and a HHN to boot...
Prayers...
4 is the best way to go because you might have traffic issues going through Dr. Philips but 4 is still a nightmare. Hope there aren't any accidents and leave yourself plenty (and I do mean plenty) of time to make the trip...
As far as the government research goes, they did do some research for NASA but I believe that stopped.
That said they still do lots of research for grant projects through private companies and the like.
Behind the seeds really is a cool tour to take. If you're slightly interested in the ride...
I get what you're saying... Maybe they don't have as much faith in the onboard system (as it does cut out every now and then) and they need that warning in that one place so they decided to keep it off-board so no one can claim they didn't hear it.
Exactly, they warn everyone on every ride. Even the guy who tried to sue Disney over the Tower of Terror was warned. He said that the signs said nothing about what was in the ride...
I think with SSE though they add the audio warning because it's slow enough and you're not restricted from...
Disney does this to limit liability. They install warnings (sometimes overbearingly so) so in case someone does something stupid (and they will) Disney doesn't have to pay so much out in the inevitable lawsuit. No matter how many times life tells you not to do something, someone always does it...
They have widened 27 now to three lanes and Champion's Gate does have an entrance on to 27 now. The traffic still sucks but it's not as bad as it was like 2 years ago.
And for people suggesting Lakeland... it might not seem a long way from Disney to Lakeland but it's a long boring drive on I-4...
Yeah measuring distance to Disney is kind of a fruitless endeavor... I live about 6 miles away and completely agree that depending on the traffic on either 4 or 192 it can take like 15 minutes or it can take 6 hours if there's a good accident on 4 and traffic gets backed up everywhere else...
It isn't from a specific movie. It's just kind of a pastiche of John Wayne's character in so many of his westerns. Same with Clint Eastwood (though it kinda looks like it's his costume from The Man With No Name trilogy). They used the Searchers trailer in the old pre-show but the lines said...
Flogging Molly plays the house of blues almost every year... as do the Dropkick Murphys... typically sometime around St. Pats as they're both usually on tour then. Sometimes FM plays before their (what is now) annual Salty Dog cruise, sometimes after.
