I would say its a rare fluke, the structural design for high wind loads was/is very high. The tree itself made it through quit a few hurricanes in it short life... and has fared very well for that time.
Yeah those are definetely mockups or sample versions,
they have alot of those backstage at animal kingdom near the different areas of the park, as examples for the current rock work in the park

I worked at AK for about 5 years some time ago as a MGR and there are certain tropical species of plants and trees that can live in Florida weather but some cant handle the low low lows.
They have these heaters that run off gas that look like little turbines and can really kick off heat...

If the buildings blue was the same color the sign wouldnt pop graphically. In theory that white wall should be something contrasting on the other end of the color spectrum or complimentary like a burnt orange but then..well they would used the old orange sign colors for the wall. Stupid Color...
Disney is self insured
..on the whole thats what insurance is for to fix both trains.
Disney self insures themselves at their parks and resorts as the cost of actual policy is absurd. So they would have to cover the costs not a insurance company
