There was only one show that night, the 7pm one. The hardware to have the pyro in place on the boat wasn't even there so it wasn't just a case of it missing or not firing.
Something definately needs to draw your attention to the boat as it rounds the corner. There is too much time where...
I hope that they do come up with something to do with the boat as it comes around the turn. Without those fireworks it really feels like something is missing. Hopefully whatever they come up with to replace them will fit in well.
I was at the world last week and saw fantasmic for the first time in a few years. Everything looked the same except I noticed that the spinning pyro things on Steamboat Willie were missing. I didn't even see the hardware in place where they were shot off from. Any word on why they got rid of it?
When I was there at the end of June they were having trouble getting the music started. The music would come up but it would be about a minute from the end and it would just end. That happened a few times until they finally got it right.
I can't see them devoting a whole waterpark to Pirates but somthing like that would make an awesome addition to Typhoon Lagoon as another "land" or somthing like that.
You come on a set of torn up tracks before you actually see the yeti which causes you to go backwards. Then you stop going backwards, see the yeti tear up the tracks again and go fowards again.
The image and laser projections onto the castle were amazing! But where were all of the fireworks?? It would have made for an amazing show with some more fireworks and the castle projections, but seems to fall short with less fireworks.
It's not Disney's way to show a half assed show, not matter what. Now the people who only saw that show will go around saying how much illuminations sucked. It's like well we've had a breakdown of all the audio-animatronics in Spaceship earth but you still get the audio! I don't think so...
It varies from night to night. You'll have to check disneyworld.com's Magic Kingdom hours to see if and when it's running.

Yeah, it's bound to happen when you're putting on as complex as a show as fantasmic 365 days a year. But at least they got the show off for the most part at least.
Thanks for all of the amazing video Dolby! It makes me want to go back so bad. Just a quick question, do you have any video of just walking around, like taking a walk down main street or somthing?
I only saw a video of Remember.... but the effects (especially Tink) BLOW away anything in Wishes. Wishes is an amazing fireworks show, but Remember just raised the standards of fireworks shows.
