The thing that made me realize how off their rocker they are currently (in the finance department) is their decision to keep moving forward with the Star Wars hotel that no one is gonna be able to afford.
Don't know if this has already been posted by I was watching a video by The Right Opinion on Ellen Degeneres and he had an old clip of an interview with Bob Iger explaining why her sitcom had to be cancelled. Warning: he's got some spicy things to say about homosexuality.
It's funny when...
I don't mind the informercial stuff to be honest. What I hate about televised parades now (both Macy and Disney) is that it's become 90% pop music segments. The actual parade takes about a small fraction of the actual program.
I have a theory as to why Disney did not go the food festival route like other parks are doing (and is likely not going to IMO). I do believe that Disney crunched the numbers, considered the guidelines that would need to be put in place and ultimately decided that they would gain more...
In any case Mary Poppins deserved far better than a carousel.
DCA needs one more good E-ticket (maybe even 2) to feel more complete of a park. Wish it wasn't Marvel cause you already got Guardians.
Any original rides made for Tokyo I believe are exclusive or would require Disney to dish out big bucks if they want to clone those attractions since TDR is owned by the Oriental Land Company. I seemed to recall that a Cinderella Castle Show was brought over from Tokyo as part of an all parks...
Twitter represents only 2% of the actual human population from what I understand. It is a disaster for ANY company to cave into any demands made via a twitter hashtag.
I would also add requiring ADRs for (some) Quick Service places possibly. They need to be able to easily keep track and control capacity in those restaurants too as well as cleanup.
In any case I also see them ending the waiving option for housekeeping permanently. The rooms are much harder...
I'm as old as that ride (give or take a year) and I'm not very optimistic about Imagination's future either, no matter how much I want it to be otherwise. Disney will eventually find an IP to consider replacing the whole thing altogether and Inside Out seems like the most likely candidate atm...
My guess is that Epic Universe is still in such an early stage in construction that social distancing for the moment is not really necessary. The workers are isolated in bulldozers/tractors/etc. If they were further along they probably would have had to stop for a while.
As far as Beijing...
I hate how all televised parades now are just musical acts with no substance and no creativity to them. I can't remember the last time I watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade where it was about the balloon floats.
And Disney's Christmas parades are the worst with this. I wouldn't mind...
