Honest opinions of Spirit of Aloha

I've never seen it, but this past November, Mom and I stayed in the Aotearoa building and we could never fall asleep until the last show was over. For that reason alone, it's left a bad taste in my mouth.

    Captain Cook's or Kona Cafe

Kona is one of my favorite places on property! We had our rehearsal dinner there and our guests loved all the choices and great flavors. However, I do love Captain Cook's, too. For a quick service, they have a decent variety. And, if you like Dole Whip, it's there, and offered as your...

WDW Food Pictures Of The Day Part II

Swap the water for Root Beer (about a 2 liter bottle). I also add ground mustard, a packet of dried onion soup mix and you're GOLDEN! Once shredded, I mix in BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Ray's is great) and call it a day.

The Best Thing I Ever Ate....Disney

The NY Strip @ The Kona Cafe is outstanding! I actually find their steaks to be superior to Le Cellier. Adding more, I'm going to say Tonga Toast, Dole Whip and even the sticky wings at the Poly Concierge are incredible! But I love the fried chicken at 50's Prime Time. And for best...

    Worst Meal at Disney

Oh man! We never eat at DHS unless we're grabbing something quick at Pizza Planet. And don't get me wrong, we only eat there for the amount you get for little $$. Subpar at best, but the best of the worst. And for Epcot, we ate and San Angel, and never again. Nasty!

If I were at WDW right now, I would have been here...Thread

Because my WDW-withdrawal is in full-force, let's play a game! If you were in the world, what would you have gotten to eat today? (Calories don't count, so have at it!) Ready, set, GO! I would have gotten my breakfast at the Kona Cafe and had Tonga toast. I would have then hopped the...

    Halloween Candle Decorations

Random question of the night: Does anyone know what the tealight holders are for this year? 2008 = 3 pumpkins shaped like a bat, a ghost and a pumpkin 2009 = Square stained glass-like in green, purple and orange I won't be there for fall this year and am dying to know if anyone has...

    Various Restaurant Questions

    1. We were there in late June and Remy did NOT appear. However, while we booked for Remy, the food alone was incredible and we have rebooked for November. Unbelievable hidden jewel of a restaurant! 2. It can vary by server. We've never had someone make us stand in the corner, but it really...

WDW Food Picture of the Day

Finally, we stopped at Pizza Planet for a quick lunch. It's not stellar, but it's a lot of food, and when you're starving, it works! We'll be back in November, so I'll take more pics then!
