For the 7 AM virtual queue, you do not need to be in the Park. For the 12:00 noon virtual queue, you must be scanned into one of the Parks and not be holding a boarding pass for any other attraction

The other value might be in HAVING a Signature or Signature Plus pass. Who's to say, if you get your pass refunded, DL will ever sell an unlimited pass again? Rumor has it DL has been looking for a way to get a handle on the number of passholders and their access for a while. This may be it...

Not only would the accountant panic over the staffing costs, but imagine if all the guests currently standing in outrageously long Meet and Greet lines were actually out in the Park. They might have to limit ticket sales further with the crowding. ;)

There is a website called D-Cot.com - They have just about everything imaginable music wise from the parks. You can sign up for a free account and listen (the music is not downloadable,) create playlists, etc. I particularly enjoy the music from Discovery Island at Animal Kingdom and play it...

Just for informational purposes, as a DL annual passholder, I have always gotten a receipt when I park. I thought it had to do with being able to re-park if you left during the day. Your AP will not allow you to enter twice on the same day. I know from experience when a cast member scanned...
