I get it, and honestly I'm not wanting to create a pity party - just sour grapes. It's just a frustrating experience. I will play by the rules - as long as I know what the rules actually are.
Imagine getting to Magic Kingdom at 6:30 am because you were told the park opened at 8:00 am and you...
So, Disney has established a "waiting room" to join before sending out emails notifying that people can join the official queue. In general, it is a horrible, unreasonable system that they use. (see also the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind previews)
Exactly! Absolute joke.
I received my email from Disney at 9:02 am and was in the queue by 9:20 am. THREE hours later my time dropped down to 17 minutes then kept going up and up to almost an hour - then reservations full at 12:40 pm, which was well within my low of 17 minutes.
What it is even...
Also agree. I am originally from southeastern NC and have lived in Orlando for four years now. I really noticed no substantial difference in temperature, humidity, or "feel" down here in July versus southeastern NC (now, those conditions do begin earlier and last longer in the year than NC). I...
I'll get a first hand view in a couple weeks, but from the pictures posted I think the size and font fits in well. However, I feel a (very subdued) purple or orange color would have been more appropriate for the night lighting. (If we have to have lighting on them at all of course.)
The last information I read, although it has been quiet for quite a while now, was that David Fincher was in talks to direct and he was wanting Brad Pitt to play Captain Nemo. I would love to see that duo's take on the underlying themes of 20,000 Leagues. Obviously it would be quite different...
PIN Codes
Just a few days ago (May 24th actually) I received an email from Disney with a PIN code for Free Dining for the last part of the year, so this may be an indication Free Dining could be offered to the general public again this end-of-year time frame. Apparently Disney has truncated...
So they raised the rates on the hotels and the discounts are slimmer this year. I guess attendance is still strong enough for them. Weren't the discounts last year up to 40% or 35%? Or am I thinking of a different time of year? Current offer is below...
Aulani
It may be years off, but I really have the gut feeling that WDW will see a clone of Aulani from Hawai'i. Certainly not on the same scale, but I would not be surprised to see an Aulani-type tower with maybe some of the longhouses remaining as upscale DVC suites. With the prime location...
Exactly as above. I find the story very hard to believe as of right now. Although, if we want to talk blue sky ideas....what if they are thinking of building an Aulani clone to use as a hotel and DVC? I would think the DVC business model would show that the Magic Kingdom area DVCs are where...
That's great! I'm glad it worked so well for you. I'm guessing you called the Poly directly and not the generic reservations number?
I've read on some websites that you could still get a good view of the lagoon/beach from even a Garden view room, so if asking for an upgrade doesn't work...
Not to add to the confusion, but I just got back form the Contemporary and I was in room 4511. Ninth floor on Bay Lake side. So...4+5=9-Floor, 11-Room.
