Both! When our boys were little, we started & ended there. Now, we only have the 17 year old still at home and we still start there.
Park hop. It's so worth it. Magic Kingdom is a favorite when they're little. Later, it'll probably be more about thrill rides. Enjoy every minute!
We love both the fried chicken and the ribs at Hoop-De-Doo/Trail's End! I have to say, real mad hatter, when I see a totally freaky title to a thread (one that makes me "have to check it out") I'm learning that it is usually began by you! Thanks for always being so creative1 :)
As a Florida native...I can tell you it is vastly different. July is hot, humid, and very crowded. I can't comment on the tour groups (seems like there's never an "off" time for them), but I can say American kids are out of school so this is a popular vacation time for them. The July weather...
Afternoon....but I'm not opposed to a mimosa in the morning. Vacations are the only time I drink mimosas. I don't know why, just something about a mimosa says vacation. So excited that my hubbie and I will be in the World in 5 days for our 26th anniversary!
We bring several options...just for the hotel.
Sparkling wine & OJ - for morning mimosas
Beer
Lime-a-ritas
Nothing says vacation for me like mimosas in the morning. :) :)
Not a buffet, but an all you care to eat plus show is Hoop-De-Doo at Fort Wilderness! In my opinion it is one of the best shows on property. Hilarious and corny. ;). Great barbecue ribs, fried chicken, beer and sangria.
Since you started with the key lime pie...I have to say a favorite sweet (& cocktail) is the key lime coconut martini at Crockett's Tavern at Fort Wilderness! Awesome deliciousness in a glass...taste just like a key lime pie! :)
We love that we're in the middle of the Disney magic but far enough away to sit outside the motor home and really relax. We love the Disney sounds - the busses, the boat horn, the fireworks, the water pageant. We love the take-out fried chicken from the Trail's End. We love people watching...
