  • Just thought I would drop by and say hi to ya Disneygirl. How are things going? Went to WDW first of October and had fun in the parks and road Soarin'....did work there at the Land once upon a time as a CP for a full year...miss Food Rocks but glad they replaced it with a great ride. Take care
Well, Epcot was the one park I never worked at. From what I could tell it seems cool. I believe each booth has just 2 people and usually 1 greeter. Everyone I knew at Epcot seemed to enjoy it a lot. Definately a different pace from TTC. And I know you guys have an extra ticket that we didn't normally sell, if they still have it anyway. It's an after 5 or 6 pass for FL residents.
I stayed at Chatham when I was down there and loved it, except my bedroom was right near the entrance.
I can truthfully say that there may be days when you want to rip your hair out, but it's fun. The time around holidays are the worst. It's mainly stressful because Disney sets a total that they would like you to meet, and people will try to pull things at the counter(i.e. trying to get a FL Res Discount, Quick Change Artists, try to get you to let them in for a cheaper price). Then there are times when it's really busy and you just can't take the time you need to with a guest. Those are rare occasions though.
Oh and Disney also has a phone line to help you assist non english speaking guests. TTC is generally the busiest of the 4 VP areas, as they get a ton of single day visitors. The other three tend to get the more weeklong guests.
I'm not sure if we are going to MNSSHP. I have heard it is really good, but we haven't decided yet. I dunno, we will decide when it gets closer.
Very cool! You'll have to let me know where they place you (I have to agree about Epcot). It is looking like Mom and me are going to head down in October for a few days. Maybe I will get to stop by and say hey.

I'll be in Ag at the the high school for half the day. Gotta love the rednecks, lol.
Yes!! I was a Vacation Planner. Did they tell you where you are going to be at? I'll tell you the best things about being a vacation planner is that you get off earlier then most other people. When people are doing long hours around thanksgiving and Christmas, you might work everyday, but not as long as everyone else.
Are you going to have your own car? I'd also find out who speaks Spanish and Portuguese as quickly as you can this way if you greet you know who can help non engish speaking guests the best. Do you know where you're staying? I loved it when I was down there, some people hated it. It's probably the most hectic area down there because you not only deal with guests, you have to carry on a full conversation with them and at times it can get boring, especially in the early afternoon. I worked at MK, but had to help at AK during the opening of Everest. Mk was the place I loved and you get to work Parade control, which most people hate, I loved. AK, had a better cafeteria, and allowed drinks in the booth, it was slower and much more relaxed. Feel free to ask me anything! :)
On the 13th I have a test to take but my actual classes do not start until the 18th. But, I'm starting back substituting tomorrow, WOOHOO! :D I think you told me what job you were given...but I cannot remember for the life of me!
I'm doing good, just trying to stay cool. I'm ready for school, but I'm not either. It sure is coming up quick though. When are you leaving for FL?
Happy Monday (if such a thing exists). Glad to hear you're healing up nicely. And you're due to start rawking out on the college program too, aren't you? Which college are you at?
Maybe, I don't really care at this point. By the time I get back from everything I have going on, school will be starting back. So, I can start back subbing and you will be living it up on the CP. Anyway, I hope you continue to heal. Talk to you once I get back from Clark Hill!
Oh, I see. I hope everything went well with your surgery! Nothing really has been going on with me. I still haven't heard anything from Disney, but I am kind of glad b/c I get to go to Clark Hill next week. If I would've got the job I wouldn't have been able to.
