As a dad, as long as the kid is young/nieve enough not to understand sarcasm, you are agreeing with them and making a joke to yourself, its like a double word score in Scrabble. Also some people are jerks.
No wetter than the earlier show which ran. They did just the finale so they could get rid of the armed pyro. Hope everyone in in the cast is OK. An injury was our immediate thought.
I kinda loved the lighting designer who clearly had no time for and wanted nothing to do with the video. Everyone in these videos is always so saccharine, and he was like "We've got a ton of lights. And computers. And barges. None of them work, I'm very busy, please leave."
I think a lot of people are confused about this... Disney doesnt reuse lights. Its cheaper to just cut them off and buy new the next season. GKTW getting their remaining stock (if thats really what happened) wouldn't affect a light show at HS either way.
I was also there that day and did *not* find it neat. The stage and scissor lifts blocked pictures/views of the castle. The audience was all extras, so it wasnt like you could maybe get on TV, and the announcers were doing chitchat on the PA system all night that was a big immersion breaker for...
So, can I allow myself to hope that "fixing" the blackout issue means APs will be on sale soon? Because I *really* want to believe they're back before my labor day trip that either kicks off the year of WDW, or the year of "Dunno, something else?"...
They sold it for scrap while prices are high and will build when prices lower? Seems like a solid plan to me. An empty expansion pad is a nice problem to have.
