Does anyone have the status or plan for:

  • Narcoossees’s
  • Citricos
  • Ohana
  • Crystal Palace

I’ve read conflicting reports ranging from opening soon to no plan. Thanks.

I don't see Crystal Palace re-opening until post-covid. Buffets are a no-go right now and so are characters. Also crowds in the park are lower so the capacity isn't needed.

What is best during these times is people sitting down to eat and as few people moving around the space (and therefore getting less than 6ft apart) as possible. Therefore 'Ohana isn't great either due to the additional servers walking around the space to bring new food. Even if the skewers were removed and it was all served family style there is still potentially more activity than a regular a la carte menu.
I can't recall if the Poly is fully open or just DVC at the moment, but once the hotel is open in full they may need more dining capacity of course.

At the moment the Grand Floridian is hosting the NBA, I don't see Citricos and Narooscsee opening until the NBA goes and then it is dependant on demand I expect.

Las Vegas casino buffets has always had a different approach. Some of the higher end buffets had Buffett stations that the food is already pre-plated for the hungry guests.

The getting up and moving around is as much of an issue as the breathing over food. Sitting down and allowing the food to be brought to you is much lower risk for everyone as you are getting closer to fewer other guests.

Like the wicked spoon...Which doesn’t appear to have any goal to reopen as before. Limited once a day is I believe what they’ve gone to.

Disney has no interest in that.

A dessert buffet? That's an ecstasy filled adventure. I think in Boston there is a hotel with a dessert buffet all things chocolate.
