Could this be used for omnimovers too?

It can't even be used for Disney gondolas, at least, not with guests around, but maybe for overnight.

Disinfectants, at the level to be effective, can be quite noxious. Now imagine a giant misting plume of it. No one could get on immediately afterwards. And spraying them indoors would be even worse.

More and more places are using "stabilized aqueous ozone" as a non-irritating disinfectant. My local sports complex uses a system from Tersano to make and dispense the solution for cleaning. It has no smell, no allergens, and seems to dry quickly. I think this is what's being sprayed in some of the fogging approaches to coronavirus disinfection. Maybe this could be used for Skyliner cabins (as @Lift Blog showed a while back)?

After some Googling, it seems promising.

Problem is that that the U.S. classifies it as a pesticide (some pesticides can kill bacteria and viruses) rather than a disinfectant. Disinfectants have a more rigorous testing done than pesticides. And I can find no clinical studies as to its safe use around people.

Almost all the information on aqueous ozone is from companies touting its effectiveness.

So... don't know if Disney would want to be on board with a solution that hasn't been given a thumbs up on COVID-killing and people-safety by the appropriate U.S. authorities.

During peak times (mostly around park open, but also a little around park close), the Skyliner has been struggling a little bit to manage lines (both physically managing where the lines go and managing the wait times which have reportedly gotten up to 20 min on the Epcot line).

There is a concern that things will only get worse once CBR comes back online, as everyone that will be at CBR is not even on the Skyliner system at the moment. (To try and explain it, people that were booked at moderates were pushed to the Contemporary or non-Riviera DVC. Once CBR opens, most guests booked at moderates will move there, and onto the Skyliner system.)

What do we think the average group size is now? If we say 4, then the Skyliner can only do 40% capacity if running full speed with no stops.

Time to plexiglass!

Halfway on each bench. Then you can make two groups share one gondola if they have less than four in their group.
