Aloha,

Could someone please educate me on the worthiness of Kathleen Kennedy? Is she a villian or hero? Is it true she is responsible for the theme and back story of SWGE (failure) and the overall plot (from male centric to female centric and killing off Hans Solo and Luke Skywalker) of the latest Star Wars Trilogy? And who knows what other failures? Very interested on y'alls thoughts...

She’s been working in the film industry, specifically with Lucasfilm on Star Wars and Indiana Jones, as far back to the 70’s. From what I’ve read she is responsible for convincing Iger that the new Star Wars movies will be longer lasting than the OT and that’s why Galaxy’s Edge is based around in the Sequels.

She’s been working in the film industry, specifically with Lucasfilm on Star Wars and Indiana Jones, always the way back to the 70’s.
Her career does not go quite that far back. Her first film, as one of the writer's assistant, was 1941 released in 1979. It was Spielberg who jumpstarted her career as a producer first bringing her one as his an associate on Raiders of the Lost Ark and then as a producer for Amblin starting with E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. She didn't join Lucasfilm until 2012.

Not sure what this has to do with Disneyland and her career has been rather public and well documented. If you love a Steven Spielberg movie from 1982 - 2012 then she was probably a producer.

Was 1979 not in the 70’s?

You didn’t just say she started working in the 70s, you said she specifically worked with Lucasfilm on Star Wars and Indiana Jones. She did not work at Lucasfilm or on Star Wars which came out two years before 1941.

More recently, the runaway success of the Mandalorian has inspired pro-Favreau/Filoni and more anti-Kennedy sentiments. I think a sizable amount of SW fanbase, demented and sad as they may be, want her to step aside and let other people take the reigns. She notoriously fired people from the movie series which resulted in massive reshoot costs that in addition to reduced box office made Solo the first and only SW bomb. Rise of the Skywalker's critical reaction wasn't hot either and this was after playing it safe with JJ Abrams returning and similarly polarizing response to The Last Jedi.

I humbly apologize for my egregious failure.

Uhura to you too.
Nice way to slant a topic.

Personally, I wish fan boys would cut her some slack. Look at her imdb resume and all the movies she produced that we loved over the years. Sure there are some bombs in there but for the most part they are great. That is the film business. Don't be fooled by the echo chamber of the internet.

Aloha,

Well, it affects Disneyland because of the designed theme of SWGE.

A $2B box office also whispered in Iger's ear.

Being involved helping creativity in others is different to being in charge and making the decisions yourself. I dont know anything about KK other than her resume but it may be a case that she was good at producing other peoples art but not so good when it comes to making the artistic decisions herself

Complaints about her mostly come from the small but vocal edgelord toxic "fans" who like to use alt-right but meaningless buzzwords like "sjw" and "virtue-signaling". their lucas worship is ironic as most of them were attacking george for ruining star wars/darth vader with the prequels. (seriously, go back and look up the reception from the so called fans to the prequels).

Harrison Ford is responsible for the death of han solo; it was part of his agreeing to come back to SW. Ford had been trying to kill Solo since Empire.

Likewise, the idea that KK (who didn't write any of the last three scripts) interjected feminism into SW is just plain silly. George made Lea one of the most (if not the most) important character; George made Lea's force powers cannon. Likewise, in the prequels, George made Queen Amidala just as important as Anikin to the story.

So thats why Lucas is back and they are going to turn the last trilogy into an alternate universe timeline. It Never Happened

She's a headache!

She's an angel!

She's a girl!
...Leaking an entire Star Wars confidential storyboard meeting on a web forum is subject to a cease and desist order from Disney’s legal department.
