How easy would it be to make a SuperHero Land ( Since they can’t use Marvel)
Re theme RNRC and the Cars show - connect Animation Courtyard?

RnRC > Incredicoaster
ToT > only a very slight overlay needed to make it Doctor Strange
Hollywood Theater > new home of Awesome Mix Live
Fairfax/Backstage > Big Hero 6 new ride using FoP or DCA's Avenger tech

Im surprised they don't just buy Universal out of their Marvel contract.
Cost. Universal can ask for any amount of money and at least $1 billion seems like a reasonable amount of money as it would take at least half of that to replace Marvel Super Hero Island, plus lost capacity, lost sales for a few years and a tidy profit. That’s $1 billion added onto the budget of whatever Marvel project would then come to Walt Disney World and the finances just don’t work.

As unlikely as it may be, any settlement does not need to be either-or.

Imagine that UO gets:
  • to keep Superhero Island as is, with ability to upgrade attractions (to being MCU compliant), but not add onto
  • a cash buy-out of the exclusivity consderably less than $1B
  • to no longer pay a licensing fee

Disney gets:
  • to use "Marvel" in the U.S. parks
  • to build a Marvel Land in WDW (but not a Spiderman, Hulk, or Doom ride)

UO doesn't have to tear out anything or pay fees. UO gets to capitalize on the MCU version of the characters they have, if they want.

Disney gets to build what they want with just a few exceptions.

Anyhoo, terribly unlikely. Though... Universal has a lot more debt, and needs to sink huge capex into a new park (and new lands). If there's a recession... Universal may be in a crunch and willing to settle...

The only Guardians Mission Breakout thing I want to happen to Tower of Terror at Studious is they add more drops. Guardians feels like it has double the drops than Tower.
