We walked over to the stage show

Detoured to the boardwalk for an impromptu lunch here

Justin was our waiter and he was great
Helped out with all of our dietary issues
For my sandwich he suggested a bun from the kids menu because it did not have dairy in it

Many drinks were had - no idea which ones and how many
Discussion was lively ( I will leave it at that )

Returned (staggered) to the hotel

Next up - Return to DHS

Day 6 cont'd
We returned to DHS to use our FP and have dinner
First up was Star Tours
Both Shane and Jordan were pumped to go on a Star Wars ride

It was a busy day at the Studios

As per below over/near 2 hour waits for Tower and RnRC and TSMM
Slinky over 2.5 hours

We had the small robot tap on the glass - we were not the rebel spy and then visited the Wookies
Not sure about the last scene (maybe Jordan or Shane would remember)

Not sure if these would go with @TrolleyFollower91 collection but I took a picture just in case

Not sure what the plan is after Galaxy Edge but I hope this area stays in place

Stitch met a few new friends

And then got his close up!!!

So for our last dinner at WDW we decided to try Sci Fi
This was a first for all of us - I know some members of the Trip Report board love this place
Our normal go to is Mama Melrose but (most of us) wanted to try something new

The "kids" liked the car outside

Shane decided to break the 4th wall on this one!

For those (like me) who have never been before they actually have 2 styles of seating
The "cars" are very popular so the picnic tables are little to no wait time.
We waited for a car since it was our first time

Glow cubes are cool

Tricia had a wrap

I had a burger

Cassie had a pasta
The boys had burgers - not sure about Steph

Overall review - worst meal of the trip
Burgers were meh- wrap was tasteless - pasta was worse

I know others love it but it was a total miss for us
They did not know what to do with our food allergies and the result ( food taste) really showed this point

Well even if you had had the regular (full of allergens) versions I can attest it would still be the worst meal of your trip.

My family loves the atmosphere of Sci-Fi but I don’t think the atmosphere makes up for the mediocre food. And neither atmosphere or food quality justify the price.

It was a once and done for us too, we went in 2008 and it was terrible. The cars are cool but that is about it.

Yeah, Sci-fi is all about the ambiance... my steak was just ok.... DH said he bbq was pretty good... and his shake with alcohol in it, well that was fabulous!

Went to Sci-Fi once as well, and it was really fun sitting in the car and watching cheezy movies. Loved the atmosphere. I knew going in there that the food wasn't highly rated, so I just got a burger and shake. Both were fine, even if priced a bit too high. But as everyone comments, it's the atmosphere that people like in there.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed with the menu, so we got an ADR for it, but only did appetizers and drinks because I wanted the Orbiting Oreos shake, which was fantastic. We're going back the summer and doing the same thing. I think the key is not to do a full meal there. I think we just got like...fries and onion rings. Pretty hard to mess those up.

We went to Sci-Fi for the first time (in over 30 years of visits) this past summer. It was FREEZING in there, OMG, I still shiver thinking how cold it was. I agree, the food was MEH. Probably a one and one for us as well.

After dinner we returned to the science experiment
(How many people can we jam into one small area and not have any crowd control)
We had a FP for Slinky

And I have to admit - I was not overwhelmed
It was a nice cute little roller coaster
Wheezy at the end was a great touch
But I would not wait a long time for this one
Maybe I had set the bar too high? I will have to wait for another trip to see

No, you justifiably went in with 1980s/1990s Disney expectations and got the current Disney reality.

The pasta was so bad ( basically semi raw pasta in olive oil) that Cassie added Ketchup to get some flavour

We stopped by One Man's Dream (I think it is still called this) on the way to our next FP
I wanted the boys to see the history of the man himself

I love models

This was the first visual used to pitch Disneyland to the bankers
I remember this was image on the doors of the armoire in the Disneyland hotel guest rooms (the TV was behind the doors)

Jungle Cruise!!

This is now vintage I guess....

Snapped a couple to remind myself of my last few trips

Cool model of Galaxy's Edge

Had a great talk with Brandon about all the parks world wide - he too has "touched them all"

We stayed for the movie - I think both Shane and Jordan enjoyed this walk thru exhibit

Headed over to Sunset Blvd and watched some of the projection show.

I have to say I am not a fan of the projection show.

It spoils the whole spooky Tower of Terror effect - projected on a castle makes more sense than this

Its like " OMG - this is so cute - now lets go inside and be terrified????"

And looked in some shops

Oh yeah - this one pretty much sums up Cassie!!

After our ride we headed for the gate
No interest in the night time show ( Prep and Landing) - we saw in 2016 and it was OK
Everyone was disappointed that the Star Wars show was not offered

Here are the Photo Pass pics from the day and evening

NOTE: I forgot that we had done RnRc single rider after leaving TSL in the morning
The line was at 75 min and we did not want to wait that long

(now these ones should be easy to caption - AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION TIME!!)

Not all the SDD made it of course - at least Cassie knew where the camera was

and of course Tower!!!!

The four of us in the middle were trying for 2018 but Jordan put his hand up too high (go figure!!)

Up next - A quick morning stop at AK and then travel home
