Getting kicked out of Disney for cutting in line...doubt it will ever happen!

Those bus lines, late at night, when everybody is tired and cranky, are a powder keg waiting to go off. It seems they need more staff at the bus stops.

Yes they are!! I haven't experienced an explosion yet, but I'm waiting because I've seen some bad stuff go down at night. I agree that there needs to be more CMs working at the bus stops, especially late at night.

What I don't like is when the scooter user has 12 family members all boarding with them. That is annoying, and maybe that needs to be looked at.

I saw this yesterday , Most guest aren't really paying attention to see where someone goes after cutting in line and don't really care .It does happen often and more .
I also saw a cast member tell a gentleman that if he left the line he would lose his spot when he returned over a restroom break for his kid

Now I'm not a scooter user, nor is anyone in my party. However, scooter users are meant to wait in a separate line, because they must be boarded first onto a bus. The driver needs to see if there are any scooters when they first arrive.

What I don't like is when the scooter user has 12 family members all boarding with them. That is annoying, and maybe that needs to be looked at. Or of course, maybe they are taking the proverbial *****.

However don't demonise all scooter users for simply following the rules they have been given.

There actually is a maximum amount of family allowed on with a scooter the rest are supposed to get in line. Problem is most people don't know and if you tell them they have to split up (after the fact) they are not happy especially if the line is long and they may not make it on the bus. The other thing that happens is first timers don't know how the queues work and sit waiting on the scooter at the beginning of the pedestrian line.

My husband got grumpy at a bunch of about 6 people at the Hollywood Studios bus line. It was pouring with rain after Fantasmic and the line was massive, we were nowhere near getting undercover. A bunch of 6 people tried to cut in front. My husband pointed out the end of the line and told them to join it like everyone else. A few families afterwards thanked him for saying something. I was so surprised because he hates confrontation, so they really must have annoyed him. We only just made it onto a bus (after seeing maybe 4 come past and fill up) so if those people had have stayed in the line we would have had to wait for another bus in the rain.

I witnessed it on a trip a few years ago. It happened on The Little Mermaid ride. Me and hubby were walking the long way you have to go before getting inside and just before we got to the "inside" part, two guys cut right in front of us. They somehow found a "shortcut" through the pathway--I don't know how they did this but they did and right as we were heading inside, they came from out of nowhere and went on through. When we got inside with the two in front of us, I saw a worker who was standing alongside the walkway. Her job was obviously to move the line forward and keep things steady. And it was not packed. I stopped and no one was behind us so I told this worker exactly what had happened and pointed out the two guys to the girl since they were in eyesight of all of us, continuing to go through the inside walkway to get to the ride. And did she do anything about it? NO. She just shrugged her head and said something along the lines of "They do that." And I'm like, "Aren't you going to do anything? Especially since it's a slow moment and they don't seem to know I've reported this and it would be super easy for you to go right now and kick them out of line." But no, she wouldn't do anything and seem to be oblivious to the situation. So when we continued walking and got in line, the guys were still there and just about to get on. We just ignored them and got on ourselves and after the ride was over, guess what? We walked out and I went to the nearest cast member I could find--which didn't take but like 40 seconds to a minute and explained everything. They gave me this incredulous, shocked look, with mouth open and were like "Did you find out that cast member's name?" And YES I HAD. I had made sure to get her name when we took off down the walkway after talking to her. He said and I quote--"Give it to me and I'm reporting her because when it's a situation like that and you can can actually identify, they are supposed to approach those people and ask them to please go to the back of the line and if there's a situation, that's when security's called. What was her name again?" And I gave it to him again and he said, "Yes thank you because she did not handle that situation right and I'm reporting it. She needs to be fired." And then he went on a little more into it, probably more than he should have--"See they're trained for that kind of thing and she obviously didn't want to do her job. She was supposed to go up to them and ask them to leave. I'm definitely reporting it and thank you for letting me know because the management does not tolerate that and they want the people to report when they see this stuff. It's just that you did but now it falls on us because that girl didn't do what she was supposed to do and they could have caught them." And it doesn't look good for us, you know? So I'm sorry that happened and I'm definitely reporting it." And we thanked him and went on. Made me feel better. Hopefully we didn't witness anything else like that but it was good to know that there are still Cast Members out there that care about their job and the parks and do what they're supposed to do. Something tells me he probably did report because of the way he went on about things and the fact that he kept asking me--"Did I get her name? Did I get her name? And YES I HOPE SHE WAS FIRED. It is a big irk to me when things like that happen and workers just stand there and let it when they could do something. So yes, if you see this you need to report it and if the cast member does NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT GET THEIR NAME so you can report THEM to the next cast member, manager, etc.

For a ride she admitted wasn't crowded. And I really doubt the other CM would have said all that to her, because that person could be in trouble.

Getting kicked out is a bit of a stretch. However making others angry is most definitely not. A couple of weeks ago in the Navi River Journey Line a group of 10 people over the space of 5 minutes pushed in front of us to get to their family. None of them excused themselves or explained what they were doing. It turned sour when people around us had had enough and confronted them.

The argumentative posts have been deleted - back to a more (maybe) reasonable discussion. Which is, do WDW CMs ever "remove" line jumpers. I've never seen it, but that doesn't mean they never do it.

I have seen queue jumpers ejected to the back of the line but it never went further than that.

Let me make sure I understand this. So when I get in the 2 hour standby line for FoP, I don't have to use the bathroom. But after waiting for any hour, I really need to. And if I leave, I'm considered cutting in line when I return and am subject to removal from the park if a CM spots me? I usually tell the people standing behind us that I'm leaving to use the bathroom. I try to remember to tell the CM at the entrance. But Disney would rather I remain in line and pee in my pants? That explains why parents let their kids pee in line....

Or maybe when you leave to use the restroom, the CM at the entrance can hand you the Disney version of the bathroom hall pass.

Honestly, every line that is over an hour should have an "exit" point and a cast member who hands out tickets to return to this exit point within a small timeframe. This would allow anyone who needs to exist to use the bathroom or get a drink or whatever to do so and then return to the same point without cutting anyone in line. A simple solution to this particular problem. That same cast member can monitor the line for trouble or for line cutters. If you are past this point, you can simply walk backwards till you hit the exit point and at least you can return somewhat near where you left off.

This is why I am thankful our technology is getting better. I have seen people kicked out of FP lines because they thought they could just jump the stand-by line and go through the FP without having FPs.

I did that once...on the nightime safari ride. But not because I'm a line jumper, but because I mistakenly got in the standby line in the dark - it looked to me that the FP line was closed as it was near closing time. Realized it when I saw the 2nd touchpoint. I exclaimed, "I'm in the wrong line...in the dark!". Everyone laughed. And the CM let me come through. This was shortly after cataract surgery on both eyes.

And on top of it felt pretty stupid because I missed the FP entry for one of my most favorite rides at WDW. A ride I've ridden dozens of times. Most of the people in front of me in standby were college aged kids They probably thought "old lady".
