2018

Fox's The Hate U Give was finally given a release date of Oct 5 and released to critical acclaim.

Fox's Underwater was moved to sometime in 2020.

Mary Poppins release date moved up a week.

Alita: Battle Angel moved to Feb 14 to replace Dark Phoenix's spot
  • Dark Phoenix moved to June 7 to replace Gambit's spot. Gambit hasn't even begun production and may never will and yet, there's now a Mar 13, 2020 date for its release.

Netflix & Marvel
  • Iron Fist 2 came out in 2018 instead of 2019, got better reviews than season 1 and was cancelled... no season 3.
  • Same with Luke Cage, no season 3 even though it got good reviews. Seems Disney and Netflix, or, the powers with their hands in these shows are having strained relationships. Disney's not above picking up their marbles and going home if they think people aren't playing nice with them (cf. City of Anaheim and several multi-million dollar projects).
  • Daredevil 3 was just released. No news on a Daredevil 4.
  • Punisher 2 will come out some time in 2019.
  • Jessica Jones 2 came out this year and a 3rd season was ordered. We'll see if that gets cancelled in the current tiff.
Have you been good for Santa? Well Santa has a 'good' version of Deadpool 2 for you on Dec 21, 2018, a PG-13 version. Potty mouths get nuthin' for Christmas!!

2019

Dave Bautista doesn't want to work for Disney anymore. Ironically, he's in Stuber in which an Uber driver gets caught up with a hot-on-their-tail bad guy chase. And it's new on the list and being distributed by Fox on May 24, 2019... actually, by this time, the official distributor should be listed as: Disney.

Also new in 2018 is Ford v. Ferrari set in the 60's in which Ford desparately wants to build a car that can beat a Ferrari. Due out June 28.

Fox's Spies in Disguise gets moved from early in the year to September.

New Fox 2000: Woman in the Window a thriller scheduled for Oct 4

A new Kingsman (the third) has appeared for Nov 8, kicking Death on the Nile to Oct 2, 2020. The director says a K4 is planned.

Jungle Cruise got moved from late 2019 to Jul 24, 2020

Don't forget that near the latter part of 2019 Disney will be launching their new streaming service. Some movies once designated for theatrical release are now going directly to that service, a lot like Netflix Originals.

Silver (Sable) & Black (Cat) a Sony/Marvel film has dropped off the radar. And there are no more Sony/Marvel films on the release schedule. Besides Venom, Spider-Man Far From Home, and Spider-Verse; all the hoopla of the extended Sony/Marvel Universe has no other entries. Yet.

I removed Glass from the list. Touchstone is just the international distributor.

We have a year and a half break from "too many Star Wars movies!!!!!", but, the new animated series has begun and the live action TV series is in production.
