I'm excited to see what happens with a female in the role. If you have been watching the show you can see they were leading us towards a woman Doctor for a while. With Missy and the last season had quite a few hints in retrospect.

Yeah, the BBC isn't very subtle about their "progressive casting". I was just hoping it wouldn't happen.

I fully accept that I will be the heel in this thread, so I can't get too defensive.

Woman in general. The actress seems a good choice if they're going in that direction at least.

I also hate when comic books do this kind of character swap.
