Hi fellow Disney fanatics! It's me @MySmallWorldof4 and welcome to my first Pre-Trip report @figmentfan423 , @ajrwdwgirl , @MinnieM123 , @21stamps , @Songbird76 , @Zipitidoda , @betty rose , @donaldtoo , @MOXOMUMD , @Courtney6682 , @Mr Ferret 88 , @Goofyernmost , @imahistorygeek , @Scoppin @Tony the Tigger , @TheMouseFan , @Ciara @Tuvalu @StarWarsGirl @Gabe1 and everyone else that I know I am forgetting. Sorry don't mean to forget. Too many of us crazies on this board.;)

Here are the basics for now.

Who is going Me, My DH, DD(15), DS(13), DD(9), and DD(6).

Here is a pic of my brood in front of the train station at MK before they put up the barrier. Taken in 2013

Here is a pic of me and my used to be little guy.:arghh:
disney2013meandb.jpg

You may not be seeing me again, as I am generally the one taking the shots.;)I don't look any different, I swear! :D

We are staying in The Cabins at Fort Wildnerness. This has been a favorite of my kids since 2015. They love driving around in the golf carts. This will be our 3rd stay there.

Our tentative plans are:

We are driving 13-14 hours from PA after DH is done with work on May 18 and sleep over in South Carolina, or we will leave here at 1 or 2am and drive straight through and hopefully get on Disney property by 4pm on the 19th.

Friday May 19
Arrive at Disney Springs. We have a 5pm at Raglan Road. Hopefully we get to see the Irish dancers.
Check into FW and go enjoy the pool.

Saturday May 20
EPCOT
Fastpasses
Test Track
Living With The Land(mine and my DH's favorite place in all WDW).
Spaceship Earth
No ADR's on this day. We plan to try the food from the kiosks or grab something for picky eaters along the way.
Maybe play some mini golf at Winter/Summerland after. Pool in the afternoon.
For dinner, we will try Territory lounge. The fondue sounds awesome!
If we are up for more roaming we may catch the MK fireworks at Poly or GF. If we are too tired we will just call it a night.

Will continue plans later.

Thanks for reading!:)

Okay so continuing on...

Sunday May 21
Going to MK this morning.
We will get there before the park opens. Hopefully get in the park by 8:30 so we can wander around Main St. and then head towards Frontier Land. We will try and do BTMR at least 3 times straight while everyone is bum rushing 7DMT. That should be sufficient for my little thrill seeker DD6. We will then get breakfast at Sleepy Hollow. LOVE the waffles and enjoy watching the squirrels.

Fast Passes
7DMT
Laugh Floor
Didn't get any other fast passes.

After 7DMT we will probably try and hit Tea Cups. Then probably go on People Mover and then COP.

We have an ADR for GF Cafe for lunch so will head out by 12:15.

After lunch we will head back to FW and maybe go enjoy the pool.

Haven't figured out what to do in the evening yet. Maybe head to EPCOT or go back to MK in the evening.

If we don't go to EPCOT or MK we may eat dinner at Captain Cook's or CR Contempo Cafe and then go back to FW and drive around the loops with the golf cart and check out decorations people may have on their RV's.

Monday May 22
Our AK day.
We will eat breakfast in the room. We will pick up bagels or some Entenmann's donuts @imahistorygeek , @lostpro9het the night before at Publix. and also get some cornbread from Trail's End's ToGo.:hungry:
EMH on this day so we will be there for park opening.

Fast passes
EE (DD6) really wants to do this. She may be tall enough with crocs. ;) I warned her it goes backwards and she said "I'm not scared. I'm not scared of anything!" Yeah, okay then.
Kali River Rapids
ROL :)

We have 2
ADR's set up and I need to cancel one. They are both for Yak & Yeti. One is for lunch, one for dinner. I would rather eat a larger lunch then dinner. We could leave the park at lunch and eat at Mara at AKL by taking the bus and therefore not losing our parking spot.;) Then we could just walk around the property and then bus it back to AK.

Heading down 81 and then cutting across 70 to get to 95. Hoping for no headaches. Last time we drove down the end of August to go to HHI there was a HUGE accident in the southbound lanes of 95 in Northern VA. We were standstill for 2 hours!!! It was not fun!
EEEKKKK we wound up stuck going down 95 in Va on our last trip because of a blinding rainstorm:mad: You should be fine leaving after work on Friday night getting through DC area after rush hour

It seems that every time we drive through VA we hit something that slows us up. If we don't hit traffic on the way down, we are sure to hit traffic on the way up as we get closer to DC. Then we always say, "we should have taken 81 instead."

We drove down in a tropical storm once, west to 81 down to 77 across to95. Not bad but boring:hilarious:
Yeah, I hate going that way also. The only good part is mentally for the first hour and a quarter we cut through 3 states(PA, MD, WV). But going through Virginia that way is so, so, so long and you can only drive so fast because of all the trucks and the winding, hilly road. Only 2 lanes wither direction does not help.

Our plans for Tuesday 5/23

Today is a water park day. Probably Typhoon Lagoon, which we have never done. We did BB twice on our last trip and we all loved it. The lines for anything was minimal. We all thought those days at the water park were our most relaxing days.

We will drive to either the CT and eat breakfast at Contempo Cafe or just do breakfast in the cabin again. This all depends on how fast we can get ready.

We will arrive for opening. Have snacks during the morning hours, like pretzels and ice cream.
If the kids are tired out by noon, we will change our clothes and head to DS. I really want to try Blaze Pizza since so many have said how great it is. Then maybe another mini-golf round?

Go back to the room and rest up.

For dinner we want to go to POFQ Sassagoula Floatworks. We haven't been there since the renovation. My kids were always creeped out by the masks. I kinda liked them. But they always enjoyed the free Mardi Gras necklaces. I am assuming my ds will not want one this time. ;)

After dinner we will take a nice cruise on the Sassagoula and head back to DS for some walking/souvenir shopping/looking.

Forgot to say that I am hoping for a soft opening of Pandora on our AK day, but I won't hold my breath. At least we can hope to see the park without too many construction cranes.;)

Wednesday 5/24 is another water park day.

We will head to Typhoon Lagoon if the kids really loved it or go back to BB for opening. Early birds, ya know!:)after eating breakfast somewhere. Either our room or maybe we will do Trail's End. Not worried about an ADR here. Have never had an issue getting a last minute one.

We will eat an early lunch or do snacks again during the late morning because we have an ADR for Art Smith's restaurant which I am dying to try. :hungry: It is an early ADR 4:30 and I keep trying for a later one but as of yet am unsuccessful.

I know my kids will probably be wiped from the water park (or maybe I will)because we will spend most of the day there, so we will go back to the resort after dinner. We may catch the Campfire tonight at the resort.

Thursday, May 25

EMH at EPCOT so we will be there for rope drop.
Going to head straight for TT since I don't have a fastpass for it.
After that we will go get something yummy to eat at Les Halles. The Chocolate Croissants are already calling to me.:hungry: How I would love to eat more than one. But I won't.:( The temptation is there, but I don't want to fill up with all the offerings at the Kiosks to still try.

Our FP's for today:
Living with the Land
Frozen
The Seas

We will spend most of the day here. I love F & G. I always love looking at the flower arrangements. I try to get ideas for our own garden, but of course I can never keep up with the weeds like they do down at Disney. Everything looks perfect for the first week and then it is a never ending weedfest no matter what Even if we put landscape material under the mulch those weeds still take over. And they are mean weeds at that. They have painful, spikey stems and leaves. Ouch!! But we still try anyway year after year.

We have an ADR for The Wave at Cr for dinner. After dinner, I have as of yet no idea what to do. Maybe hang out at the pool? I will let the kiddos and dh decide.

I used to drive from Fort Bragg in North Carolina to Fort Dix in New Jersey at least twice a month. There was not a single trip that I didn't hit some form of gridlock in Virginia. I always had to factor in an extra two hours to my overall trip time to account for it :in pain:

The only way we have been lucky to avoid any gridlock is by driving in the wee hours of the AM through VA heading south. But whenever we drive home we are usually in VA by noon depending on where our stopover was the night before. Yes going back north generally does add 2 hours to our trip as well. Then we will say, should have taken 81 instead going home. Maybe this trip we will remember.;) Although I really don't want to think about leaving there yet.:(
