Episode 2 Immunity Challenge: Downtown Do-Over
2qmexpj.png

Disney's Boomtown!

For this challenge, we at the Blairozah tribe were asked to come up with a complete top to bottom do over of Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort. By far the most challenging part of the prompt was coming up with the backstory that was asked for by our gracious Jeff Probst impersonator.

After floating around many different ideas for centering the theme around different real California towns, we decided to go with the idea of a fictionalized town affected by the Gold Rush and how it's affected by modern day sensibilities. The theme of the Gold Rush is something that's surprisingly glossed over in California Adventure, with only a passing mention along historical plaques of the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail to show for its existence among the state's history.

Disney's Boomtown hopes to bring the age of the gold rush to a modern context in an ambitious new way as the most detailed and thematic "Downtown Disney" type area ever designed.

12509281_1037297169642778_2215276744916930977_n.jpg

Backstory
The fictional town of Carmel Canyon, California was once a small mining community that literally struck gold as one of the biggest hot spots during the California Gold Rush in the Southern region of the state.

A huge economic boom hit the town and what was once a very small and desolate area became ripe with development and expansion. Disney's Boomtown is an idealized version of an old west mining town, with a modern twist of being surrounded by urban development.

Historical mines and oil rigs will visually go hand in hand with an urbanized hip downtown environment to create a unique flowing atmosphere filled with hidden Disney touches and treasures. The shopping and dining establishments located within Disney's Boomtown will all take on a centralized theme and ascetic approach.

The sides of the Grand Californian Hotel will be painted over in a layer resembling the Spanish Pueblo style. A forced perspective "canyon" wall showbuilding complete with mine carts and tunnels will be constructed on the west side of the area to give Disney's Boomtown a complete sense of immersion into the theme and storyline.

In the early 1960s, Imagineers were hard at work building Walt Disney's Mystic Historical District of Disneyland, a new prototype community for all ages to live and discover. With a Disney touch, this was supposed to be a "test phase" for an early living community sponsored by Disney, only admitted exclusively for Club 33 members. This area included clubs, shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

However, during construction of the Mystic Historical District of Disneyland, an idol was stolen from the Jungle Cruise and construction was abandoned for decades because people thought the land was cursed. However, recently, the idol has been returned, but the concept of Mystic Historical District for Disneyland has long past and the jungles of Adventureland have consumed it.

Nevertheless, the Mystic Historical District would serve as inspiration for the creation of a new Disney "attraction." Based on the original plan of designing a prototype community, a modern contemporary "city" was built in conjunction with the Mystic Historical District. The community would be called Disney Commons - providing shopping, dining, and entertainment to people of all ages at the Disneyland Resort. The Disney Commons has all the amenities and areas you would find in an American city with a distinct Disney flare. Shop till you drop on Disney Avenue, catch a movie in the Theater District, gaze at the wonders of Chinatown, dine in the elegant Little Italy, show your athletic prowess at the Sports District, or explore the treasures within the Mystic Historical District.

It's all waiting for you at the Disney Commons....see you there!

Allow me to be contrived for just one more moment. Coming back from Spring Training 2014, hosted by @LittleGiants'16. Definitely one of my favorite projects.

Dan & Don’s Drive-In: The Drive-In That Drives to You!
By JokersWild

The Experience
You’re finally back at Walt Disney World. Today is the day that you’ve set aside to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and, as with the other parks, you are right there for rope drop. 10 am on the dot and the gates are open. You and about 1,000 other people rush through the gates, eager to go on some of the biggest rides in all of Walt Disney World. As you make your way down Hollywood Boulevard, you notice something...strange. Careening around the corner from Sunset Boulevard is a large, very 1930s-looking bus. It is blueish, but obviously worn, slightly rusty, and...part of the side has been cut out? Strange. Curious, you make your way towards the bus.
You and a few other guests crowd around the bus as it parks right up against one of the sidewalks on Hollywood Boulevard. Suddenly, and very loudly, a voice can be heard from a set of old-looking speakers attached to the front of the bus, just above its windshield.
“Come one, come all. Try the best food in all of Hollywood. You might even discover some unfound talent here at Dan and Don’s Drive-In: The Drive-in That Drives to You!”
What? A food truck and streetmosphere? Great! Curious, you inch closer to the bus.
As you get closer, the passenger door to the bus opens and a tall, and rather good-looking guy steps out. He walks around the bus and stands next to the bus, greeting the various passers-by. Soon, he works his way to the back, opens its back door and pulls out a small table and a set of chairs. In one quick move, he also puts a dingy-looking table cloth and a sad-looking rose on the table.
Getting closer to the bus, you realize that the hole in its side is a counter for ordering. As you approach, the driver of the bus gets up out of his seat and makes his way towards the counter. He is normal height wearing a shirt and tie with a sweater vest. His black hair is slicked back and he wears a pencil moustache which rests atop a never-fading smile. Reaching the counter, he greets you.
“Ah! Hello. Welcome to Dan and Don’s Drive-In. My name is Dan - Dan Wood: writer and director. My counterpart over there is Don Burwell: an aspiring actor. I write, he acts. We’re the perfect team! Y’know, if you know any studio suits, give our names a little drop. We’ve been looking for work. This truck isn’t helping as much as we hoped it would. Now what do ya want?”
Looking behind Dan, you notice a chalkboard hanging towards on the opposite side of the bus, behind a grill, at which a chef works diligently. Crudely written on the chalkboard are only a few items: hamburgers, hotdogs, and a few specialty fry concoctions; coupled with sodas, of course. You order and quickly receive your carefully-wrapped food from the ever-smiling Dan. You pay.
“Thank you.” Says Dan. “Enjoy your day and make sure to take a look at the paper your food is wrapped in. And make sure to spread the word on us.”
As you try to leave the truck, you are stopped by Don. He quickly corrals you towards the table, asking you to sit and enjoy your food. As you sit he shakes your hand.
“Hello. My name is Don Burwell. I’m an aspiring actor trying to make it big in Hollywood. You looked like someone important, so I thought I’d give you the VIP table. Dan always tells me to look out for important-looking people. ‘You never know who you could stroll up’ he always says. Haven’t found any work yet, though. I’m sure we’ll find some soon, though. Dan says he’s given his scripts to some very important people. And he’s dropped my name too, of course. His scripts really are good. We’re gonna go far someday. So, how are your fries? Do you need anything? Salt, pepper, ketchup?”
You tell him no as he walks away to sift through the other guests, reciting lines from famous plays and movies in desperate attempts at selling himself. You also get up from the table and begin walking while enjoying your food. As you see, Don has found another group of guests who he has deemed “important-looking” and has seated them at the VIP table. After the onslaughts from both Dan and Don, you begin to walk and enjoy your fries.
The fries, as you had hoped, are amazing. Once getting through the fries, you remember to take a look at the paper your fries were wrapped in. Taking a quick look before throwing it out, you notice that the paper is an excerpt from one of Dan’s scripts. You quickly read part of his script “The Cat Cries For No One.” It is absolutely awful. No wonder the pair are still serving fries to the uncaring masses. Dan’s writing is horrible.
An hour or two later, as you walk Hollywood Boulevard once more, you hear another announcement from Dan and Don’s bus.
“We are sorry, ladies and gentlemen, but we must be leaving. i have just been informed of a very important opportunity…(under breath) -yeah. that sounds right- and we will be departing. Thank you for your patronage. You can look for us in the pictures.”
Don reloads the bus as it speed back down towards Sunset Boulevard. Following the bus a bit, you notice that it has really just set up shop once more on Sunset Boulevard, continuing their shtick at a new location.

Location, Location, Location
Dan & Don’s Drive-In, as mentioned previously, would be placed in Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard. Since it is able to move, it will be able to alternate between these locations throughout the day. It would be on Hollywood Boulevard for half the day, and on Sunset Boulevard for the other half. Simple as that.

Studio Catering
Dan & Don’s Drive-In will have a rather unique type of food: specialty fries. Each fry comes with special toppings that will make them one of the most beloved food items in all of Walt Disney World. For those looking for something a little more than a snack, hamburgers and hotdogs will also be served from the bus. The menu is as follows. Prices are not listed because I have no grasp on how much food should cost.

Hamburger
Cheeseburger
Hotdog
Plain French Fries
Poutine
- French fries smothered in gravy with cheese curds.
Greek Fries - Basically a gyro on fries.
Cobb Fries - The Brown Derby’s staple Cobb Salad updated for a new generation. Bacon, chicken, avocado, tomato, egg, and blue cheese atop a heap of fries smothered in a red wine vinaigrette.

Simple menu, but affective.

A Cast of Characters
What makes Dan & Don’s unique is that the two employees (not including the chef) of this stand are actual actors. Dan Wood is the typical failing-but-smart director who thinks that he’s amazing, but is actually complete garbage. Don Burwell is an aspiring actor. He’s a bit simple-minded, and depends on Dan for most everything. If he could get past Dan and his ideas, Don could actually probably make it in the movies as he seems to actually be a good actor.
Dan and Don met in Hollywood and they quickly became friends. Dan’s street-smart attitude made it incredibly easy for him to lead Don. The two became a duo, hopping from studio to studio trying to push their work, but it was getting them nowhere. One day, Dan came up with an amazing idea: the easiest way to sell themselves would be to sell themselves to the masses. And the easiest way to do that would be with food. Putting that food in a bus made it even easier as they would be able to get around town fast, selling to more people and thus making more people aware of their work. And, of course, making some money along the way wouldn’t hurt either. The pair pooled their money together (of course Don payed a bit more than Dan did) and they bought themselves a truck which they would modify and turn into a moving restaurant. The rest is history.

The Making Of
Why would I choose something like this? DHS has really been declining over the years. Most disturbing of all is that the park’s streetmosphere is quickly being forgotten by many casual visitors. Dan & Don’s really brings back the streetmosphere in a huge way. It literally puts guests in the story. I also felt that it would make for an incredibly unique experience. I also thought the idea of the starving artist selling food to get their names out was a funny idea.

@kap91 's Mary Poppins Jolly Holiday Attraction (2017)
Helllo everyone, I've posted before about this concept I've been working on in the past year but since I intend to keep on working it I figured it'd be nice to have one place to keep posting. I have a full page on my website www.themeparkconcepts.com for exhaustive detail. So first the images you've already seen: View attachment 182781
View attachment 182780
View attachment 182779

And now what this post is actually about and my favorite thing to work on. Concept plan! So yeah here's the overhead view. There's a few things I'm not a hundred percent satisfied with but this is the most refined version I have. I would probably place both maintenance areas in the same place on the next go around.

View attachment 182782
And the intended placement. Yes it would involve the demolition of millennium village. But that needs to go. Enough land would be left for a new pavilion though.

View attachment 182783
So yeah that's all for now. Feedback is great! Thanks,

@DSquared 's Star Wars Episode 8 Plot from his "What If" Series (2016)

Episode 17: The Force Returns Part 1

star-wars-the-force-awakens.jpg

Welcome back! So who saw The Force Awakens? Who wants to know what's coming next? Well, I have some ideas on what I would want to see, and now I'm gonna share that. Here is Star Wars Episode VIII: Havoc of the Knights

The movie opens with an x-wing battle and land battle on Corascuant between the Resistance, led by Poe Dameron and Leia, and the First Order, led by Captain Phasma. The First Order is forced to retreat and Phasma is taken captive by the Resistance.

Meanwhile, Luke, Rey, Chewbaca, and R2D2 confront the force ghost of Yoda, who warns them that Snoke has a power beyond belief. Luke senses the Knights of Ren approaching, and starts his escape with Rey. During this, Chewbaca, and Rey battle the Knights and Luke and Kylo Ren have a violent confrontation where Luke senses that Ren hasn't yet embraced the dark side, and also senses that Han Solo was killed. Luke holds off Ren until they can escape on the Falcon. Following this is a scene where Rey explains to Luke all thay has happened to her. She is confused by Ren's struggle and Luke tells her a story about the orgins of the Jedi Order, a story about a tree giving off the Force. A brother and sister discovered this tree. The brother killed the sister and fled, and embraced the dark side. And the sister returned as a force ghost and explained to the townspeople how to use the force, and the first Jedi Order was formed. Luke also explained the prophecy where the Chosen One will bring peace and control both the light and the dark. His father was thought to be , but imbraced the dark and became Darth Vader. Same with Ren's transformation from Ben Solo.

The army and Luke and Rey arrive back at the Resistance base, where Luke is greeted by Leia and C3PO. Finn is also there. Rey goes with Finn and Poe to interrogate Phasma. When they leave, Luke says that he has a good feeling about Rey. The next interrogation scene is basic, but the big parts include Phasma's unmasking, Poe flirting with her, and the location of the First Ordr's cloneing facility, which is being overseen by General Hux. The three go to present this information to Leia and Luke, but those two are talking to a new diplomat named Ezra Bridger (Benicido del Toro), who was part of one of the first rebel groups after the Clone Wars (and the main character of Star Wars Rebels). Leia explains that Ezra has a plan to use minimal military action and a lot of diplomacy to defeat the First Order involving trade dispue. As a jab at the prequels, Poe says that this is one of the most rediculous things he's ever heard. They then present the interrogation information to the three, and they all go with a Resistance group to find Lando Calrisian, who Leia said had contacts with First Order spies.

The group arrive in Nawala, which is a small planet that is comprosied of a lot of vacation cities (think Vegas in space). They all stay in the shadows to prevent First Order sympathisers from finding them. The proceed to a casino, where Lando is winning at a gambling game that looks like the hologram chessboard on the Falcon. Lando excuses himself and finds them a room in the back to talk. He asks where Han is, and they explain he's dead. So they need someone with connections with spies to help them into the clone facility. But a bug in the wall picks it up, and the First Order is alerted of the spottiing.

Somewhere in an unknown planet, Ren and Snoke converse. Snoke send Ren to stop Luke and the Resistance, but not before giving hiim a Sigth holocron. This holocron when used inside a Sith temple will unlock and ultimate power more powerful than the force. And there is a Sith temple on the same planet as teh clone facility.

The next scene shows the First Order arriving in Nawala to capture the Resistance, but they escape on the Flacon once again. They aall head to the clone facility.

Ren arrives at the temple, and uses the holoron to unlock the ultimate lightsaber, gem, whi Ren adds to his and gains thi stronger power known as Dark Force.

The heroes arrive with the Resistance spieshelping, but there are a lot of clomnes and stormtroopers waiting for them. Leia questions why, and Ezra kills her as it is reveled that he was a spy for the First order. Luke's eyes turn red, and he strangles Ezra, and tries to attack the rest of the group. Chewie, Rey, Poe, Fin, and the droids escape on a carrier , approaching the base along with the Resistance army. On the carrier, Rey consults Ypda on why Luke turned and Ezra killed Leia. Yoda says that the force has been swayed dark by a new disturbance, and that Snoke's ultimate weapon has been unleashed by Kylo Renn.

They arrive at the facility, and attempt to kill all of the clones and destroying the facilty. During this, Rey, Poe, and Finn meet with Kylo Ren. Ren's new lightsaber and force abilities nearly kill the three of them, and they are taken prisoner by the First Order.

On a distant planet, Snoke realizes what has happend, and smirks.

Until then...

Episode 18: The Force Returns Part 2

star-wars-wallpaper-12.jpg

Welcome back! to my surprise, not Episode 8 news came from the ABC special, so I'll just continue into episode 9! Here is my plan for Star Wars Episode 9: Rise of the Chosen One. And heads up, I'll kind of pull a Harry Potter 8, so the action scenes would be a lot longer than they seem. Here we go:

The imperial ships approach the main Resistance base. On board, Kylo Ren is with the actual Supreme Leader Snoke (not the hologram). The two spak about how to cripple the Resistance, and the whereabouts of Luke Skywalker Snoke then tells Ren to go see if the prisoners know. Ren then goes into a room where Rey, Poe, and Finn are having the Dark Force bind them in prison. Ren asks them in an interrogation scene, but they don't budge. He leaves, and the three agree to reinstate their escaape plan Rey absorbs the Dark Force binding them, and disolves it, setting them free. They then sneek out to reclaim the lightsaber, and their blasters. They do this by stealing stormtrooper outfits and sneeking in (like in A New Hope). They manage to get that far, but Snoke sences them and has the stormtroopers come after thm. They are surrounded, by Rey stuns them all. They then steal a hship and escape to Dagobah, to consult with the Force ghosts of Yoda, Obi Wan, and Anikan. They agree that Anikan can get Kylo Ren to restore order before the DDark Force destroys the universe, as a prophecy said.

Meanwhile on the Resistance base, a huge battle takes place as the First Order attqacks. Ren goes into the forest to kill a group, but is confronted by Anikan. They talk and Ren freaks out, and destroys Anikan's ghost with the Dark Force. The battle continues, and the fSnoke learns that the three are on Dagobah. He and Ren go to confront them, as does Luke.

On the plante. The three rediscover Yoda's home, where Rey manages to acheive perfect balance of the force for a short amount of time. She then sees her parents, an X Wing pilot and his wife. The vision snaps as Poe and Finn tell her that the SUpreme Leader, Ren and Luuke are coming.

Some talk takes place, and a four way battle is unleahed betwen Snoke, Rey, Luke, and Ren.

Rey and Ren are separated from the other two, and they talk while they fight. Rey explains that she is the Chosen One and Snoke is using Ren and will kill him. He has a moment of realization, and agrees to help take save Luke and take down Snoke. They do this as the Resistance adn First Order go to aid their respective sides. The battle moves to a large open feildon Doagbah. The battle continues as Snoke and the First Order are defeated.

Shift 5 years later, Rey has a Jedi Academy with the help of Ben Solo. Finn and Poe become leaders of the Resistance Amry, better known now as the Grand Repubic. And Luke leads the Grand Republic, with Rey defeating Snoke returning order and balance once and for all.

Until then...

And lastly I'd like to nominate @C. E. Myatt 's Port Encounter (2016)

It is 2017. The creationist theme park "Ark Encounter" is no more. It may have not met the millions of people expect to attend, and thus bankrupt Answers in Genesis. Maybe a good debater had convinced the company's top heads that a young earth is ridiculous, and evolution is a fact. Or maybe they were looking at Albireo at the Creation Museum observatory when the aliens around there decided to pay a visit. Whatever it was, Ark Encounter was no more.

But all was not lost for Williamstown, as a secular theme park company (I'm not really going to specify, but let's say it's Disney because we're a Disney fan site) bought the former Ark park shortly after its bankruptcy. Not only do they have plans to secularize the current park, they plan to release the secularized future phases as well. They even went above and beyond, and added more areas and rides!

The new backstory for the park and the Ark was revealed in a press release for the buyout;

"Millions of light-years away from Earth, there is a planet known as Prifla. On the surface, Prifla is a near-lifeless rock constantly flooded and dried from the constant collapse and reformation of the pillars in the hydroplate layer. Inside, however, is a different story. Thanks to the inner sun-moon core, and the Pacha circle gates, The planet is filled with various Earth life, both existent and extinct, and civilizations rivaling that of Egypt and Rome.

One man who lived in such civilizations was Noah. A Jewish farmer and carpenter, he and his family got lost heading to Babylonia during the Babylonian Exile. Stumbling upon a Pacha gate, they found themselves in the Valley of Nod.

There ruled King Tubal, who commanded his subjects a boat that could survive the floods on the planet's surface. Noah presented a boat designed by him, named the Ark, meant to weather the worst of storms, but Tubal rejected it due to a lack of direction control. Another man warned him that no known wooden boat of such a large size he wanted would be able to sail the seas. That man was never heard from again. Yet another man warned that the island the valley was on would collapse upon itself within a month due to a surface flood. This time the king heeded the warning.

Tubal commanded that all should board his finest boat, push it down toward the surface, and row toward the main continent. Noah and his family decided to escape instead through a Pacha gate, taking two of each unclean creature in the valley and seven of the clean. No one else followed him, as the other side of the gate was smaller, making anyone who goes through there tiny. But they did so anyway, and the people who followed Tubal found their boat bashed apart in almost an instance on the surface.

The smaller size worked to the Ark's advantage. Thanks to it being reduced to the size of an average Greek warship, the boat rarely leaked from strain. After a year on the seas, Noah and his family were discovered by shipwrights from the village Astri, who dragged the Ark onto a wooden disk and pulled it up through another size-dislocated gate. There, Noah revealed who he was where he came from, what happened to the place, and why he left a different way. His tale was passed on throughout the land, then back to Earth, where it eventually became the story we know today.

Soon, you and your family can visit Prifla, Astri, and Noah and discover a world of science and legend! You can embark on Port Encounter this summer! Don't miss the boat!"

(Note: Still working on formating posts. I hope I'll improve by the next post.)

Apologies for the late update. I seem to have procrastinated on this final update. I finally got it done, though, so enjoy!

Most armchair imagineers on here go through their parks in a “walk-through” type order. However, because the park doesn’t flow in a circular/oval shape (and because I haven’t fleshed out the “Main Street” style area as much as the Ark), I decided to write about them in a vague order of Phase number. So this means that the first area we will be talking about is;

Port Ark

Note: Pork Ark will be divided into three parts, one for each deck. The first will also deal with the outside of the Ark, while the third part will also deal with food and small entertainment. But enough talk, let’s get started!

Lake and Walkout Point
View attachment 140131
From the walkout point, you can get a good view of the lake and the ark. There’s not really much difference here, except for the fact that there seems to be seating similar to that of Rivers of Light behind you. Could it be that, along with the new phases, they added some nighttime entertainment?
RiversOfLight_10152015-17.jpg

Since it’s daytime, we have no way or reason to see what the seats are all about, so we walk past them and move on to…

The Construction Zone
maxresdefault.jpg

Of course, it’s kind of inaccurate to call this the Construction area as the ship’s already completed, so this should be more of a “repair” or “loading” area, but whatever.
View attachment 140132
Now here’s where the park gets different. If you pay close attention, you may notice that the “construction” area is slightly bigger. Not only that, but around the Ark is a large circle. This is, in fact, the Pacha gate the Ark went through. To make it a real circle, it had to cover up a bit of lake, but on the plus side it gives more room to this area!
pre-flood-man-bronze-iron.jpg

Here you can learn about impressive ancient technologies, like rope machines and pitch pots. You can also walk into mobile shops, and even meet a few workers! And that’s not even the…

Queue Line
31d5e532763773.56931b611d5c0.jpg

The outdoor proportion of the queue line consists of a garden of semi-tropical plants and paintings of what appear to be bits and pieces of Prifla legends.
queue-line.jpg

The “under the Ark” proportion of the queue provides interactions with cargo, animals and building materials. This includes a parrot saying quips like “If we replaced all the parts on the Ark, would it still be the Ark or just and Ark-like boat?”

Then the guests walk up the ramp onto the Ark, but before they can board they see a film that brings context to the large boat they're about to enter...

Pre-Show Film

This film shows the drama of the final moments before the valley’s collapse and the Ark’s first voyage, as well as introduce the character and story of Port Encounter's interpretation of Noah. As the residences of the valley head to the other, unwieldly boat, you can only hear their screams at the failure behind the closed door of the ark.

First floor show
f20dda32999599.569c732460463.jpg

Left ambiguous whenever or not this takes place on the ark’s maiden voyage, the boat has encountered a storm. The ship shakes wildly, and things bump into the Ark. Noah’s family is wondering whenever they will survive the storm, or perish like the people of the valley. This allows viewers to step into the world of Noah and truly experience the story of the “Port”.
View attachment 140134
They also learn about who they are, like their religion as they are shown praying.

Ark Model
View attachment 140135
A cutaway scale model of the Ark gives a preview of life on the Ark, and serves to immerse viewers more into the story.

Animal Genetics Exhibit
View attachment 140173
This is the first truly education exhibit in the Ark. This shows the many groupings of living organisms, and how the decedent of one animal can be in a different group than another. It mostly discusses the family group and speciation, but goes on to explain how we know that’s most likely not the limit of evolution and natural selection.

Prifla Model
View attachment 140174

This is the first introduction to the geology of Prifla. The exhibit explains the geology of both the surface and the inside, and how the population live underneath the surface.

Noah the Man
4-youngnoahimage_exhibit.jpg

This exhibit delves into the backstory of Port Encounter’s Noah, from his family history from the Babylonian Exile (I decided that he was born to a Prifla Jewish family that came from the exile, rather than was a victim of it himself), to his education in farming, shipbuilding, and more, and finally to the birth of his children.

From those first few exhibits, guests move up a ramp to the second floor, but that will be detailed in a later post…

@tcool123 's The Capitol - A Hunger Games Land (2015)

The Capitol

The Capitol is the center of Panem; a futuristic world found within the Hunger Games. This new theme park land takes place 36 years prior to the 74th Hunger Games with Katniss Everdeen. This land will have two attractions. One in which for the entertainment of the people Capitol they have created a simulator putting you in the middle of the action of the First Rebellion. The other attraction is with Caesar Flickerman on his hit show Capitol Do’s & Don’ts. Here Caesar still is not with the Hunger Games as of now, but rather on a fashion analysis show with a few bits of comedy. While strolling through the futuristic and ecofriendly Capitol one may find the Snow Banquet Hall here after the Hunger Games Victor Tour, and you’re just in luck as Porter Millicent Tripp the 38th Hunger Games winner has recently arrived. Lastly there is Panem World Center where all the goods from around Panem are transported and are able to be bought by the citizens of the Capitol.

Capitol Do’s & Don’ts with Caesar Flickerman

Queue

Guests will enter the production lobby of a television studio. They will see advertisements for various parodies of iconic television shows made by the Capitol. Guests will pass by a hot set being used to talk about past Hunger Games, and various iconic tributes in their younger forms. These tributes will be Woof, Mags, the Morphlings, Seeder, Beetee, and the most recent victor Porter Millicent Tripp. As guests keep moving they enter the set of Capitol Do’s & Don’ts were the logo is plastered nearly anywhere that it is logical to be. A large screen is hanging on a wall, and on this screen a poster of Capitol Do’s & Don’ts with Caesar Flickerman is shown. As show time draws nearer a video upon the screen plays, and Caesar comes to life. He will instruct everyone to go down the row completely once they enter the set, and failure to do so will result in immediate banishment from the studio. He then laughs a little, and the doors open with that the screen goes back to the image of the poster.

Show Experience

As all the guests get seated the lights begin to dim. The cameraman zooms into the center of the wall where the screen is. The screen on the wall comes to life with thousands of cheering fans chanting for Caesar Flickerman. Music begins to play as the fans disappear, and are replaced by countless people walking in the Capitol. The video focuses on what is considered to be high quality of fashion, and then some embarrassingly ridiculous fashion. The cameraman moves the camera to become focused on the whole stage. A trap door opens, and as steam shoot out Caesar sitting on a modern chair appears laughing his signature laugh.

maxresdefault.jpg

Caesar: Thank goodness for escaping from there I thought I was going to melt down there! It’s so great to be up here, and oh wait I can’t see it’s too dark.

(Caesar claps twice, and the lights brighten)
Caesar: As I was saying it’s so great to see all you lovely faces!
(Caesar looks toward a specific part of the audience. The camera follows his gaze.)
Caesar: Oh honey, red is not your color. No try a splash of blue there, and maybe a spot of yellow there. Hmmm perhaps try wearing something from Spectra?
(Caesar laughs once more as the camera moves back to him)
Caesar: Oh I only kid you look fine! In fact all of you are dressed great! Now let’s get down to business. Let’s talk about the most important thing here which will have to be LeClair’s new line of colons and perfumes! Here have a whiff of my favorite scent Rich Rose!
(Rose scent is pumped in the room as a spraying sound is heard)
Caesar: Isn’t it just heavenly! Now it’s time to get juicy with Capitol Analyst. Now let’s see whose wardrobe I should dissect today.
(Images of people from the Capitol flash by until Caesar stops on someone wearing all pink)

latest

Caesar: My eyes! Oh dear this is something quite awful. Looks like someone lost their hair bush, or their stylist’s number. She should really invest in hair products it’s unnatural for it to be so frizzy. Her sleeves are like balls they look like they could just bounce right off. Those leggings and that skirt should not be together. Nu-uh it should be something longer. If you look close enough you can see she forgot to do her eyebrows how clumsy! She must’ve been in a rush. I must say her pooch looks fabulous! If only I’ve could’ve helped in time. It’s no use crying over spilled milk. Now it’s time to welcome my next segment the guest interview! Today we bring in Shine the famous fashion designer, and her new line of casual clothing!

(Another trap door opens, and out comes various mannequins on displaying the new line of casual clothing which looks tight, uncomfortable, and very formal. In front of the mannequins is a sofa matching Caesar’s Chair on which Shine is sitting upon. Shine will be adoring long luscious yellow hair, while wearing the Daisy inspired outfit from her new line)
Caesar: Uh Oh, Shine it looks like someone is copying your style.
Shine: Who dares to mimic me?
(Caesar laughs as Shine looks around confused)
Caesar: Have you tried looking behind you?
(Shine looks behind her, and sees the mannequin her face goes red from embarrassment)
Caesar: I only kid Shine! Now tell us about this new fashion line. What inspired it? What is it made of? And more importantly do you have my size!
Shine: While watching Porter Mllicent Tripp’s victory tour I noticed the foliage in the background, and decided what we need in the fashion industry are more lines dedicated to the beauty of nature.
(A clip of a snarling Grizzly Bear is played. Shine jumps in fright screeches as she holds her hand to where her heart is.)
Shine: Don’t ever do that again!
(Caesar laughs)
Caesar: I’ll try.
Shine: Well anyways this new line will be made of finest silk I can buy. Which is very fine in fact some of it was freshly made today from District 8.
Caesar: No, you can’t! Fresh silk from District 8, and you were able to make clothes on the same day. Isn’t she talented folks? Let’s hear a round of applause for Shine everyone!
(A clap track is played to encourage guests to clap)
Shine: Thank you, thank you
Caesar: It’s that time again folks. It’s time for the show to wrap up. A piece of advice from me when you go out and about when it’s hot where something loose if not let the odd be in your favor. Thank you for tuning in everyone! Goodbye!
Shine: Goodbye!
(Steam shoots out once more covering Ceasar and Shine as they both are lowered back under the stage)

The First Rebellion

Queue

As guests enter the queue they are met with a logo of the Peacekeepers. As guests go down a hall with various panels showing various parts of various districts. Occasionally one of the districts will be having a little scuffle, and be broken up by Peacekeepers. Also in the hallway above guests will be grand posters of propaganda to join the Peacekeepers.

As guests exit the hallway they enter a large room where the queue will go towards a screen playing a message from a young President Snow. Lining the walls are more posters of propaganda for the Peacekeepers. As guests exit this room they will be assigned a Simulation Pod, and be given Test Glasses to ride.

President Snow: Welcome all to the Peacekeeper Aviation Head Quarters. This is the center of the Peacekeeper operations. This is where we train our Peacekeepers to be for the worst kind of situation; war. Of course we don’t send our Peacekeepers to an actual battlefield, no we send them to a virtual training facility. Now for the first time ever the citizens of the Capitol have been allowed entry to these simulations. I have personally chosen your simulation to send you all into dark times. I am sending you all into a simulation of the first and hopefully last rebellion from the colonies. We are also equipping you with Test Glasses to enhance the experience. Now I hope you are already because in a few moments you will all be admitted into the Simulation Pod.

Ride Experience

As all the guests are safely secured and seated the safety spiel is played, and guests are told to put their Training Glasses on. Two screens will flicker on. One bigger, main screen equipped with 3D technology, and a smaller to the side screen. The Seal of Panem is displayed on the smaller screen, and a capital hangar is shown on the main screen. The vehicles suddenly come to life as they begin to float. A Peacekeerper’s voice comes on, and tells the guests that they are sending them at turbo velocity towards District 13 to end this rebellion. While he informs guests a map of Panem appears showing them their location, and where they are headed.

panem-school-map-23x35_print1.jpg

The vehicles lurch forward, and blast off from the hangar. As the vehicles fly out of the Capital they nearly crash into Snow’s mansion. However by doing this in hand they activated a trap meant for potential rebellion attacks. A swarm of Tracker Jackers rush and swarm the vehicle. The second panel comes to life with the pilot’s face coming on. He tells the guests that several of the Tracker Jackers have gotten into the vehicle, and many more will follow if something is not done. He activates the Plasma Lock-On Canons, and aims them towards the Tracker Jackers. It fires knocking many down, but the remaining work their way into the Pilot’s office. The pilot now nervous for his own death that is now quickly approaching activates auto pilot as the Tracker Jackers enter and swarm him. Guests will be able to see him being stung, and hear his horrific cries causing some to get chills. The Tracker Jackers revealing his distorted face as it falls onto the control panel losing video feed.

glimmer.jpg

The auto pilot comes online, and informs guests that oxygen has been removed from the pilot’s cabin to remove all intimate threats from the area. As the vehicle continues it stimulated flight guests will fly past various districts. The auto pilot reports that to take a safe shortcut they will need to go low, and near a large body of fresh water near the northwest corner of District 12. As the vehicle simulates the descent dodging various tall trees the auto pilot warns of nearby danger. The mayor of District 12 sends a transmission that they will be attacking the vehicles soon, and that they will knock them down. A tree is soon chopped down by District 12, and the vehicle zips under the tree barely avoiding it. A fire is heard, and as soon as it is said a sea of arrows comes flying to the vehicle. The vehicle zip and zags around some arrows, but is severely hit in the process. The auto pilot reports that they are losing altitude as the vehicle crash lands in a great lake. It then starts up the auto-repair, and the transformation of the boat. Various mini robots can be heard going around the vehicle fixing the shot areas, and all the while the vehicle runs on the water being chased by a hover boat of District 12. As the auto pilot reports everything has been fixed the vehicle quickly transfers into its previous state, and flies off.

A transmission is soon played on the second screen showing a much younger President Coin warning them that they will be showing no mercy in their attacks. As soon as this is said a marginally destroyed District 13 is shown. The vehicles careen closer to the ground as they fly past President Coin and various guard fighting off lizard muttations. The vehicles make a sharp left as a building collapses. The vehicle barely misses a flock of jabberjays. The auto pilot warns that missiles have been targeted to strike them. The guests soon hear the sound of quick approaching missiles as they ship takes evasive procedures and brings out the plasma canon. The canon is fired into a building as the vehicle flies through it, and as it does dodges various parts of the building that is collapsing. The auto pilot announces it will turn on the rear view camera. Now on the smaller screen gusts can see the chasing missiles as one of them hits the falling rubble causing an explosion. The whole vehicle shakes as it explodes, and the other missile explodes right after as rubble starts to fall from the first explosion. The whole vehicle shakes once more with the building. The vehicle flies out of the building as it collapses sending a cloud of dust flying throughout the air.

The_Capitol.png

The auto pilot informs guests that they will be landing shortly in a secret Capitol air base. The vehicles exit District 13, and fly into a ravine. A cave like opening appears, and the vehicles enter the cave. The vehicle lands, and President Snow appears on the smaller screen. He thanks the guests for riding this simulation of the First Rebellion, and that things could’ve gone smoother. He invites them back any time, as the doors open and guests leave.

Snow Banquet Hall

Exterior/Interior

The exterior is grand. Elegant light fixtures hang on various trees illuminating the hall at night. To get to the hall guests will need to climb a flight of stair, or go up a ramp. As the go up they will past by various ornate fountains and flowerbeds that change with the season. The hall has a powerful feeling to it with large beautiful windows in the front, and a grand inviting door allowing guests in.

latest

The seating areas are divided by various short walls with plants on top of the corners of these walls. Each seating area will have an area to get all one’s dining needs. Also in each area will be a fixings bar for one’s sandwiches of choice. Elegant lighting fixtures hanging from the ceiling, and one ginormous chandelier overtop the fountain. On the main walls large banners with the most popular and most recent victors adorning them. The twist becomes of it being a Haunted Tower, hidden in a menacing, foggy forest with overgrown Chinese vegetation throughout, lies an Ancient Chinese Temple with it's impeding danger of The Haunted Tower, which the attraction is named after.

The Tower has been cursed for centuries. Every soul who has come is, has not come out. Which offers guests a chilling challenges: To solve the mystery of the missing while avoiding becoming one of the missing themselves…

The Wetch by Team Sea @MonorailRed @Voxel
(interesting name, btw:p)
Challenge 10: Around the World in 11 Seconds.
This week, competitors are obligated to create a new ride for Epcot’s World Showcase at Walt Disney World. You are to design a ride to fit into one of the existing countries and to be held within your chosen country's existing plot. This ride must be a roller coaster, and we are expecting them to go very fast. Remember that this is the final five, and we are expecting these rides to be top notch. We are looking for an attraction that is concealed and fills in the World Showcase skyline and peaks above the park. But it must conceal an attraction that goes at bullet speeds while also thoroughly connecting with the nation's culture.

Audio-Animatronics Facts

Their will be Three models of Audio-Animatronics featured inside The Wetch ride, mainly for of sight and necessity. The Animatronics found in the stationary and slow sections of the ride will built of the same platform as the 7D Mine Train Roller Coaster found in the Magic Kingdom. The choice was made to reflect the attention to detail that Disney fans love. Quicker scenes will rely on the older and more simpler models, this will increase the operation time of these segments and allow for more units and crowds at a lower coast. Finally the dragon Audio-Animatronic will be a new designed based on the foundations of larger animatronics discovered through out Disney's History.

Similar to Expedition Everest's cute form of the Yeti Merchandise, there will be cute form of the Welsh Red Dragon from the Attraction. Some of the new products will be plush stuffed animals, Hats, key chains, snow globes, pins, vinylmations and other merchandise.

Merlin's Magic Earl Grey Tea and Rooibos Red Dragon Tea - Two new teas sold specifically at "The Tea Caddy" in the UK pavilion for the attraction.

Grand Opening

Similar to spectacular Openings of Disney Park's Past, This will be extremely special in every sense.

For starters, The Wetch will have a TV Special on ABC On October 26, 2018. With the "Wizards" and "Dragon" parts of the attraction, it seems like the perfect time to host the special right around halloween.

The Special will be hosted by David Tennant, otherwise known as the 10th Doctor in the Doctor Who series. This also serves as a "Selling Epcot" in it's new form, talking about it's new Frozen attraction, Sorain', and many more classic attractions at the park today.

The special story plot goes around David Tennant looking around Epcot to find the Welsh Dragon though out the park, where he runs into several different attractions and pavilions at EPCOT on his way. He finally stumbles upon The Wetch with Merlin's (Ron Schneider, the original voice of the Dreamfinder) help.

Some other Guest Stars David Tennant stumbles upon in this special include: Ellen DeGeneres, Idina Menzel, Diane Kruger (From National Treasure Movie Series), Mushu the Dragon, Mater, Jeremy Clarkson and the Stig , and of course, Mickey and the Gang.

The next morning (October 27, 2018) after the aired special, Tom Stags opens the attraction with aid of Merlin (Ron Scheider, the original voice of the Dreamfinder) and an appearance from the Red Dragon.

Some UK Disney characters also appear at the grand opening to support the new attraction! (Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Alice, and Mary Poppins).

Closing Remarks

Thank you for watching our presentation, we look forward to seeing you conquer The Wetch soon. We at Team Sea have worked hard to design a one of a kind attraction that guest would only find at a Disney Park and we believe that this will stand out as one of the best.

The website helps promote the new class, but also is informative and goes into detail about the specifications and offerings.

The site offers 18 custom Disney Cruise Radio announcements describing their respective decks, and a song to go along with each one.

These classifications may be altered as there seem to be a substantially less in some categories than others. They may change. Also, if you believe anything has been misclassified do not hesitate to let me know
