I hope they do as Sony needs some competition to get them to lower their prices a bit... but honestly I see it as a difficult market to enter for them... If they use the old EF mount they might get their own user base to jump on it... but then it would also eliminate the only advantage I ever saw from the Sony mirrorless - being able to use glass from almost anyone with an adapter.... Which means I suspect they will do the whole new mount which will really only have one major problem - too many mounts already.
Would be nice if the big camera manufacturers could stop acting like they all have to have their own proprietary mount and all adopt a standard.
