This challenge is for @MonorailRed

Based on the phrase below your avatar/username it seems you have a natural proclivity for safety information in a foreign language.

Therefore, your task is to find any Walt Disney World attraction safety spiel, and repeat it for us in Spanish, and then translate to English;) That way we are all don't all end up in St. Mungo's because we couldn't understand the safety announcements.

Good Luck!:D

Room of Requirement- For Hufflepuff!

What I'm doing for the Room of Requirement is actually the start of something I've been wanting to do for a long time, a complete makeover of Hong Kong Disneyland into Hong Kong Disney Resort. The expansion will include new resorts, a new shopping district, expansions to the original park, and the crown jewel Hong Kong Animal Kingdom.

Hong Kong Animal Kingdom will open in 2023, with 4 lands opening day. Africa will act as the Main Street of the park, the first of these in a Disney park that has real attractions like similar to Africa at WDW, with a Lion King dark ride. Pandora: The World of Avatar will be a clone of the land at WDW, but will include the launch coaster that was a part of the original plan for the land. North America will be a large land themed to the rural lakefront town Oak Lake. It will have attractions based around animals from the northern US and Canada. Asia will also be similar to its WDW counterpart, with a clone of Expedition Everest, and the original Tiger River concept, as well as a Jungle Book boat ride.

Thank you for reading. I look forward to expanding upon my plans in the future. :);)

Gracias.

Attention, Expedition Everest team members, once on board, secure all gear in the cargo pouch in front of you – then, pull down on the restraint. For your safety, remain seated and keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the train – and watch your children.

Year Five: The Noble and Most Ancient House of Mouse
House_of_Mouse_staff.jpg

As a bonus tie-in with Year Five for anyone who wishes, like @brb1006, the challenge here is to build something in a Disney Park based on any characters from the House of Mouse. It can be an attraction, a restaurant, anything you want!

Also if anyone has any old projects they have done with House of Mouse, you're more than welcome to "plus" them and re-post here!

The projects just need to be a minimum of 5 sentences. That's it! And the due date will be at the end of Year Five (so next Tuesday at 11:59PM EST)

*** Also please note that, just like the prior Mini-Challenge rules, only 4 people can submit per House!

Have Fun!

The Most Noble And Ancient House of Mouse: For Slytherin!

welcome_littlefoot_to_the_house_of_mouse_by_conthauberger-d9vcsp0.jpg

Toontown at Disneyland California desperately needs some kind of boost, turning it from a kid-centric mini-land to a fully fledged experience along the likes of Adventureland and Frontierland. The House of Mouse character meet and greet/ walk-through will be one of many components to the new Toontown expansion.

Located to the side of Minnie's House, the House of Mouse rises in it's grand glory, becoming the central focal point for the land. At night, spotlights rise from the top of the structure, beaming into the heavens.

UmmWAXj.png

Walking across the red carpet into the entry doors, we find ourselves in the reception room, where an animatronic Daisy Duck welcomes us inside and asks if we have any advance reservations. A cast member offers to take us to our seats, and in groups of twenty, we follow said cast member.

What follows is a stroll behind the scenes of the restaurant, from a glance into the chaotic kitchens run by Goofy (uh oh.. :cyclops:), Mickey's office (where the man-er-mouse himself can be heard preparing for dinner service), and the projector room, where an animatronic Horace can be seen dozing off at the job, occasionally waking up before falling back into a daze. These are just some of the many comical rooms found in the House of Mouse.

After our tour comes to a conclusion, we are suprised when the Fab 5 themselves welcome us and offer to take pictures, in a more sofisticated meet-and-greet experience. After greeting our idols, we are given a farewell and leave the House of Mouse, enjoying the rest of our day at the newly expanded Toontown (before waltzing over to Star Wars Land- but I'm losing track. :p)

House of Mouse- For Hufflepuff!

For the House of Mouse challenge we were tasked to create something based on a property used in House of Mouse. I've decided to create a miniland based on Aladdin called Agrabah. It will include an E-ticket dark ride, a shop area, and a table service restaurant. The dark ride will be called Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride, and will utilize a new ride system that makes it seem like your magic carpet is levitating off the ground. The attraction will take you through the iconic song A Whole New World with Aladdin and Jasmine, until you get interrupted by Jafar.

The land will mostly be made up of the shop area Agrabah Bazaar, which will sell Aladdin merchandise, as well as Arabian souvenirs and food. In the bazaar you can find the entrance to Prince Ali's Royal Buffet, which will include a M&G with Aladdin and Jasmine.

Since we are allowed to add any characters who appeared on House of Mouse, I'm going to add a Pinocchio dark ride to Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. Pinocchio's Village Haus is the closest thing to representation we have in the parks of the classic tale and this dark ride will replace the Village Haus as well as expand behind it, taking up as much available space as possible. Beginning with Geppetto in the shop, you will transition to Jiminy Cricket and the song "When You Wish Upon a Star." You will follow Pinocchio as he travels to the mysterious and dangerous Pleasure Island, and even swallowed by a giant blue whale, before returning to Tuscany for the friendly finale. This dark ride will contain 8 scenes and add to the Magic Kingdom dark ride attraction list attempting to rival the number at Disneyland.

Coming to Disney Hollywood Studios and Animation Courtyard, a new live-action show based on the popular Disney Channel show, House of Mouse!

disney-junior-live-on-stage-00.jpg

Replacing Disney Junior Live on Stage, the House of Mouse will have many options for guests to choose from, and all of them directly correlating with the show. You enter the grand foyer area and are asked to be seated for the show. A 25 minute show featuring all your favorite characters from the TV episodes goes underway, interacting with guests as well throughout. After the show is over, guests can walk into the "control room" for a meet and greet location with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. In addition, there will also be a gift shop area selling merchandise from the show. And lastly, there will be a small cafe area as well attached with the House of Mouse theme, giving Animation Courtyard a little bit of life and bringing one of the most popular Disney Channel shows to life.

You'll receive 15 House Points per submission and there is a maximum of 4 submissions per House.

This challenge will be due Monday June 13th at 11:59 PM EST!

Have fun!:)
A submission for Hufflepuff

With the closure of Innoventions at Epcot, there is a severe lack of science and technology represented at Epcot.
With that in mind, Innoventions East will be rethemed as the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology Showcase where the new inventions by local engineers and amateur scientists are presented to the public. These exhibits will of course rotate in and out.
tumblr_ni38vdBOdU1sj5h4oo1_1280.jpg

Across the way, Innoventions West has been rethemed into the San Fransokyo Institue of Technology where guests can design and innovate their own projects and also see GoGo's bike, Wasabi's work station, and Honey Lemon's lab. Taking the place of the character meet and greet area will be Hiro's dorm room where Hiro and Baymax meet guests.

Year Five: Imagineers and the Order of the Pavilion

Epcot embodies a vision for an experimental prototype community of tomorrow. A vision that was never realized, however still the thematic core of the park to this day. Despite these notions, over the years, Future World in particular has devolved into a state of disarray. Of contrasting and disjointed irrelevancies that saturate the message of the themed land.

A vision of a community of the future and the progress of tomorrow, while apparent in some instances, lacks a central hub of relevance; an issue that can be directly correlated to the sparse and scanty current edition of Innoventions. The "showcase" of new technologies to help our greater global community seems to be the core (the CommuniCore) of the issues surrounding Future World. If Innoventions was truly a visceral environment that connected guests with the technology of today and the experiments of tomorrow, it would give Epcot a "hub" that connected all of its other Future World pavilions together to fit one cohesive narrative.

full

Ever since the early planning stages of Epcot, Innoventions (or formally known as CommuniCore) was the largest Epcot "pavilion" in terms of space occupation. It was the center of attention and the area where all guests had to walk to in order to traverse into the other areas of Future World and beyond.

Our vision for the central hub of Epcot seeks to capitalize on its prime location and plethora of acreage to create a living, breathing, hub of the theme park. A hub that truly embodies the original goals of Epcot, by having it be not only the proper hub of Future World, but of Epcot (a community) as well.

By incorporating inspirations from the original city design of Epcot, the New Horizons Pavilion will invite guests to journey into the future of Century 3 and beyond...into the living, global community that is represented at the end of the park's gateway attraction Spaceship Earth.

Planning and Design
Epcot_Full_24533.jpg

In order to accommodate such a pavilion, Innoventions East and West will be permanently closed and removed in sections. During the construction in the center of the park, guests will be able to access Future World East and West through wrap around entrances (by Journey into Imagination for Future World West and by The Odyssey Restaurant for Future World East)

Architecturally, there will be no more East and West Pavilions. Instead, there will be one, large domed pavilion with four separate levels of function.

The roof of the pavilion will be curved to a domed center point (55 feet above sea level) so as to not block the views of Spaceship Earth from the World Showcase Lagoon and other areas of the park. With the Fountain of Nations being removed, fountains will be placed on top of the roof (akin to the Swan and Dolphin fountains high above the ground of their hotels) and will go off periodically throughout the day.

The one thing that will be staying is the peaceful and futuristic Innoventions Background music (as played above) and will be the soundtrack of the pavilion.

There will be 4 entrance locations to the pavilion:

- Guests can enter via the Project Tomorrow post-show area of Spaceship Earth. Now when guests come off Spaceship Earth, it will feel as if they are entering into an actual "future" community hub. There will also be separate entrances connected to the side paths next to Spaceship Earth for guests skipping that attraction on their way into the park.

- An entrance connecting out onto World Showcase

- Two side entrances accessed from Future World East or West.

Inside the Pavilion when guests enter, they will be immersed in a large atrium will all sorts of activities to explore...

Main Concourse
27370098000_a5f9dd16ef_k.jpg

Upon entering, guests notice the color pallets and designs, accenting a futuristic flair, with light blues, grays, tans, and multi-colored additions, creating a lively center for Epcot.

The 1st floor of the New Horizons Pavilion acts as the park's "freeway" of transportation throughout Future World. Moving walkways expedite the process of traveling to and from the East and West sides of Future World. Furthermore, surrounding the center platform are several technological exhibits, a restaurant, shop, and meet&greet (more details later)

Riding the escalator (or elevator) to the 2nd floor and guests can browse through a second shopping area, a small cafe, as well as one of the crowing additions to Future World...the Peoplemover.

Ascending even higher into the domed atrium to the 3rd floor, and guests can board an Omnimover vehicle for a voyage into "The Final Frontier" - the story of how technological achievements over the years and years to come have created a global community of tomorrow, today.

1st Floor

If You Can Dream It Labs - presented by Apple
Approaching from the Spaceship Earth entrance to the pavilion on your left will be an interactive design laboratory which enables guests to create new technology that will be useful into the 21st century and beyond. Acting as a makeshift post-post show to the Spaceship Earth finale and Project Tomorrow, these laboratories will set guests up at specific design stations for a variety of technology of the 21st century. If you're interested in designing technology for outer space, you venture to the space port and with assist from design guides, follow the "story" on each design studio to help build technology for the future.

For instance, the space port story - a group of explorers are on the Moon and their communications are lost. You are given 3 options to see how you can restore the communication and you work together with friends and family to try and solve the mystery and get the communication back by creating new solutions to the problems. It's an interactive exhibit that actually requires critical thinking skills and deductive reasoning, making it a unique location in Epcot and something that embodies the edutainment values of the original theme park.

Digital Design
Adjacent to the If You Can Dream It Labs is a technological wonder in "Digital Design." You are guided into a room by a cast member who will introduce you to the digital world. You sit in a black lit theater as a screen illuminates in front of you and you watch a 15 minute film on the age of technology (specifically computers) and how they have impacted the digital world and the progress of tomorrow.

Club 82 - sponsored by Coca-Cola
Replacing Club Cool will be a re-imagined soft-drink stop from countries around the world. Utilizing the same space as Club Cool today, this new area will feature all forms of Beverly...just kidding...instead this new section will remove Beverly and replace it with flavors from Brazil, Spain, Iceland, New Zealand, and more. Even reinstating the Germany flavor that was removed a few years ago (the orange/coke flavor)

Perfect Park Acres
Replacing Mouse Gears will be an even more expansive gift area specializing in a variety of Epcot specific merchandise that you won't be able to find in any other merchandise location in Walt Disney World. These specific manufactures include 1982 exclusive merchandise from opening day including pins, shirts, and mor. In addition, several Project City gear as well as maps, concept art, and more are also sold at Perfect Park Acres

Perfect Park Acres so named for the green belt in the original Epcot Design. The latest in "hoverburb communities" - it is also a subtle nod at Tomorrowland at the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, which situates a Green Line Peoplemover out to Perfect Park Acres.

Tom Morrow Meet and Greet
Next to Perfect Park Acres is a unique Meet and Greet offering that contributes to the world building of Epcot and to the story as a whole. Tom Morrow (from Flight to the Moon in Tomorrowland ) will have a Meet and Greet location in the New Horizons Pavilion. Rather than continue the Epcot Character Spot of today and have classic Disney characters mesh with the futuristic tones and clash with the overarching theme, Tom Morrow will serve to enhance the story of the future, as an approachable, nostalgic Disney Meet and greet character. Tom Morrow merchandise will also be sold at Perfect Park Acres.

Epcot Retrospective
In the current iteration of Innoventions, Innoventions West has a D-zone location next to Club Cool that includes a small area chronically the history of the park. In this new pavilion, this notion will be expanded upon with actual physical sets and designs, acting as a walk-through "One Man's Dream" type location, but for Epcot history.

The story and history behind this park is abound and making that a central location of the park's "hub" pavilion will only enhance that story and contribute mightily to the overarching theme.

World Go 'Round Cafe

The Epcot Peoplemover
13436188_1330304350317933_1749758850_n.jpg

(aerial view of the attraction)

The Peoplemover will be showcased on the second floor of the pavilion. While on board the Peoplemover, it will take guests around the second floor, showcasing what the pavilion has to offer. While riding, you'll have narration throughout the ride, and there will be information about the progress of transportation and how it was made over time. This is to educate guests about transportation and how it has affected the world and where we are now, compared to where we started in a relaxing, unique way. Where the Peoplemover is going to travel is through the second floor of the pavilion, going outside of the center, making a stop at the world showcase, while going back into the pavilion and going around mission space with a backstage dark tunnel with a show scene of Progress City, and coming back to the main concourse.

City Builders
Dueling as a post show for The Final Frontier as well as a stand-alone interactive location, City Builders allows its guests to sit at design stations and essentially build a city from the ground up. Starting in the current year and working your way up 100 years, you'll be able to create your own city using futuristic designs and your own customized layouts.

This type of creative exercise acts as a segue from the attraction itself as a post-show area because The Final Frontier is all about how technology has contributed to the future of our cities and the world as a whole.

Alpha Centauri
On the 2nd floor perched over the atrium and looking out onto Future World East, a table service restaurant will regale guests with an elegant dining experience in the center of Epcot. Serving lunch and dinner daily, this restaurant specializes in a style reminiscent of the now extinct Odyssey Restaurant across the way. Using the Odyssey as a special event stand now, this new restaurant will give Future World its second table service restaurant and bring about a stylized flair to it as well that blends in with the surrounding area.

Green Eyes - presented by Hess
Next to the Peoplemover and across from the table service restaurant is an exhibit entitled Green Eyes, a look into a greener tomorrow for the earth and our inhabitants. By cutting down on our cost of fossil fuels, and driving towards a more energy friendly future, we see the impact it can have on our society of the future. An impact that is seen in this quaint setting, displaying some of the ways that we are building towards a greener tomorrow thanks to Hess.

3rd Floor

The Final Frontier

As you ascent to the 3rd floor you can make your way to the queue for The Final Frontier, which winds around images and designs of cities over the years, beginning in the early times to the present day.

The queue chronicles the years leading up to the start of the attraction (which begins in the present day/ reachable future. Essentially the story of the ride elicits how we as a global community use technology and innovation to live together on this earth. Combining technology from all sorts of different fields, many of which are prevalent in Future World, some of which aren't, this attraction attempts to bridge the gap between the colliding Future World narratives, and bring them together in one cohesive message that we are on this earth together, and therefore we must innovate and create together for a better tomorrow, today.

As you board your Omnimover vehicles (using similar technology to Horizons) you hear Michael Caine's voice over narration of your journey as you begin to ascent into a dark tunnel (a subtle nod to Adventure Thru Inner Space at Disneyland)

Scene 1 - A New Renaissance
Narrator: The 21st century marks a new era in human innovation. A critical moment in time where we have the ability and responsibility to harmonize contemporary living for generations ahead of us. A segue into a connected world, one of innovation and achievement... a new horizon...

Scene 2/3 - City Bending/Building
27558964081_d6f89c380e_k.jpg

Music begins to swell and you enter a large show scene. With water below you and a city on the horizon as the sun sets. The city begins to evolve and grow before your eyes, using a new projection effect combined with animatronic that makes it looks like blocks are sculpting the buildings.

The buildings begin to bend around you as they grow, and continue shape-shifting as they peak the horizon and invert overhead for an amazing visual effect.

Narrator: As the world's population rises, a new dilemma rises for the inhabitants of our Spaceship Earth. A place to live. A place of peace. We must strive to co-exist and build a community of tomorrow that will encourage the people of today. Technology has swept over us in the last century to the point of towering skyscrapers and endless possibilities. Rising higher and higher, with each new peak comes a new challenge to face. And we must face it together.

Scene 4 - Transportation
27356425350_e1d937ca40_k.jpg

Night falls over the attraction as you transition into the next scene, which shows billions of digital lights shinning all around you as you soar under enormous physical sets of overpasses with whizzing cars and commuters all around you attempting to reach the city

Narrator: With large inhabitant areas, a growing concern has been the commotion and volume of areas and their negative effects on this earth. Through hydroelectric cars, wind and solar power, and energy efficient lights and roads, our future is luminescent as we drive into the future.

Scene 5 - Communication and Digital Tunnel

With a subtle nod to the Rainbow Tunnel from the Imagination Pavilion, your Omnimovers enter into a large super network of glowing luminescent colors and streams. You hear voice echos of people on cell-phones, see code soaring by you at the speed of light, as you are in the center of the digital tunnel.

Narrator: Technology has shrunk this world while at the same time expanding it. We can now communicate and interact with one another like we never could before. More and more people can interact and co-exist in the virtual realm thanks to the driving force of technology. It is our responsibility though, to use this communicative privilege to our collective advantage into the future.

Scene 6/7 - Eco-Green Environment

You enter into the city in daylight after the tunnel and arrive at a towering, rotating skyscraper as your vehicles circle it as it spins with the sun to project solar power to run the electricity of the building.

Narrator: Our dreamers make the world go round. If we continue to innovate to create a better future, tomorrow's child will benefit. Using green energy and Eco-friendly practices have enabled cities to grow and expand at astronomical rates. However while we must protect the earth, we also must protect ourselves.

Scene 8 - Nanotechnology
2016-06-13_03-03-13_zpssnexqxi2.jpg

The transition goes dark and you see fluorescent streaks of green light flying through the sky. As you approach closer you realize these streaks are action potentials of neurons flying through the brain as you enter deeper.

Narrator: Technology of our age has enabled us to enhance our health and related science fields, creating not only a safer environment for out planet, but also keeping humans from harm as well. As the influx of treatments and cures for diseases and ailments begins to grow, we will live in a healthier habitat thanks to the contribution of technology in our lives. MRIs nanotechnology, robotic surgery, science fiction to people of centuries past, however realities for our community today.

Scene 9/10 - Meteorology
2016-06-13_01-34-11_zpsunmiqad8.jpg

From the lobes of the brain to the vast emptiness of outer space, you transition to a dark room that suddenly is illuminated with the reflection of the earth as you see a satellite orbiting the planet as it zooms past you.

Narrator: While we can do everything we can to protect the earth, sometimes it doesn't do everything to protect us, and our new surveillance technology of growing storm patterns and weather of mother earth has contributed to our abilities to predict certain events and prepare ourselves and our communities in ways we weren't capable of beforehand.

Scene 11/12 - Space Exploration
20160613_154137_zpsicbl3auq.jpg

Your vehicles rotate 180 degrees and turn out towards the vastness of space in a large dome like set piece located on the 4th floor of the pavilion (your vehicles have ascended to the 4th floor)

With the earth behind, you see the international space station and the moon on the horizon.

Narrator: Our innovations have not only impacted our world, but potential worlds beyond. Space exploration and deep space exploration may be imminent in the coming years as our intelligence and preparation from our advancement in technology has enabled us to dream big and pursue things that would not have been possible before.

Scene 13/14 - New Horizon and Project City
27024112883_d44e4ece85_k.jpg

As you fall back down to earth (back to the 3rd floor) you are surrounded by a utopian society curving around your omnimovers.

Narrator: As we push forward in time and into the 22nd century, we must keep in mind our vision of the future. The future can be a positive, harmonic place if we work together to achieve a common goal. A project city of the future, with the expansive technological accomplishments humanity has achieved, is not out of the question. An experimental prototype community of tomorrow attempts to persuade that justification, and visualize our Final Frontier...

The attraction ends with peaceful music as you gaze at the incredible motion based visual set piece around you as you return to the unload area and post-show area.

Conclusion
The New Horizons Pavilion will be a symbol of Epcot's message for the future, and a tether between all of the eclectic pavilions of Future World tying the story together into one cohesive hub. Not only will the New Horizons Pavilion bring all of the themes of Future World together as one, but it will build off the story of Epcot and lend a hand in fixing the narrative of Epcot as we keep moving forward...

Wonders Of Weather

Sponsored by the National Weather Service

EPCOT has always been about educating and entertaining the masses ever since its inception. One of the larger topics that hasn’t yet been covered in EPCOT is weather. (Together in future world you would have Land, Sky, and Sea.) Our pavilion shows the beauty and destructive power of nature’s greatest force through hands on exhibits, unique dining experiences, a massive weather show adventure, and a high speed thrill ride showing the awesome power of severe weather. Together all under one roof, we hope to entertain and educate the entire world about the vast properties of a force they experience every day.

(A very classic EPCOT Style traditonal song written by Loa Shelley for the pavilion)

Pavillion design.png

Located in future world west, between the seas and the land, sits a huge, 3-story pavilion perched on top of a hill. There’s a massive tornado shaped structure surrounded by a flowing metallic structure (much like the Tron attraction in Shanghai Disneyland.) And the top is covered with cloud like balloon objects. And at night, the whole exterior is covered with LED mood lights.

As you enter the pavilion you enter a huge atrium, the ceiling is all glass and allows for sunlight to fill the pavilion. You enter in on the top floor and you’re surrounded by smooth and organic architecture, the atrium walls are filled with blue. The entire pavilion is simplistic and futuristic, and accompanied by the pavilions score, gives the guest a very relaxed and serene feel.

Meteorology & Me:
Meteorologists are able to predict the weather by using several different tools. The tools they use to measure atmospheric conditions gather information, and then they use that information to make an educated guess about future weather patterns. Meteorologists use these methods on a daily, and even hourly, basis!
Most people are familiar with thermometers, barometers, and anemometers for measuring temperature, air pressure, and wind speed, respectively. Meteorologists use other tools, as well. For example, weather balloons are special balloons that have a weather pack on them that measures temperature, air pressure, wind speed, and wind direction in all the layers of the troposphere.
This area is composed of several stations; the first station will show the different instruments meteorologists use to predict the weather. Guest will press buttons or use a touch screen to activate the different instruments (thermometers, barometers, and anemometers for measuring temperature, air pressure, and wind speed. weather balloons are special balloons that have a weather pack on them that measures temperature, air pressure, wind speed, and wind direction in all the layers of the troposphere.. At the end, guests can put their knowledge to the test in a jeopardy-like game to get the highest score.
The second station will be an game similar to a kinect system. Guest will stand in front of a large screen and use their bodies to guide the weather balloon through a series of obstacles such as a thunderstorm (avoid the lightning), heavy winds (the balloon will lean harder to the left or right), and fog (avoid the rocks) all in an effort to get the balloon back to the weather center.
The Third Station Is about how Meteorologists relay the weather back to us. Guests can look at interactive maps to see what the real time weather is in their city or across the world.
science-center-phoenix-2009-09_20090701_1087882947.jpg

The touch screens also let guests touch an area and try to guess what the weather is by the symbols on the map and how the Meteorologist explains it.
The fourth station is Talking Up A Storm - Make Your Own Weather Forecast
Guests can pick up some props and stand in front of a green screen to make their own forecast. of course this short one minute video can be sent via email back home.

The second area will be a mix of exhibits mainly directed toward kids.
Small scale wind tunnel for kids to release weather senors and then guests can try it for themselves in a full size wind tunnel, an area where guests learn how to clouds are formed, a station using water misters to create rainbows, a two story vapor tornado, Air Ball, and lastly, a station dedicated to wind energy where kids can design a wind turbine and then test it out.

After working up an appetite, guests have two dining options sure to please.

VORTEX is a signature dining experience unparalleled in Epcot. Located on the upper level of our inverted conical building design (which evokes a tornado), guests will have a 180 degree vista through glass windows overlooking the west side of Future World and spectacular views of Spaceship Earth, the Epcot monorail loop, the glass pyramids of the Imagination pavilion, and a glimpse toward World Showcase. Designed in contemporary style with a color scheme to calm us after our harrowing storm chase, the menu will feature familiar cuisine with a thematic twist. Imagine Hail Caesar salad, Tornadoes of Beef topped with “tumbleweed” onion crisps, Sizzling Pork Loin, Alberta Clipper potatoes, Rainbow Trout, or Weather Vane Chicken. Plan on topping off your meal with mud pie, or a snow cup drizzled with raspberry sauce.
ViewfromVortex

PICNIC BASKET a quick service restaurant awaits guests at the end of our featured attraction, where classic picnic fare will be on the menu: hamburgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, mashed taters, barbequed beans, washed down with lemonade, ice tea, or your favorite soda. Room for apple pie? Sure, we’ve got you covered. Guests will enjoy their lunch in our indoor picnic grove under a leafy canopy and sit on picnic benches with checkered table clothes. Screens will simulate a beautiful outdoor day. We guarantee this will be one picnic that will never be ruined by the weather.

After a satisfying lunch or dinner, head over to an Omnimax Presentation - Eye of the Storm.
Guests will enter an underground chamber lined with cracked stonework and faded reliefs along the walls. These reliefs will show the embodiment of each of the weather phenomenons we will see during the show such as tornado, rainbow, hurricane, hail, cloud, wind, and sandstorm to name a few.
031-frescoes-of-Ephesus-roman-houses-sanisera-field-school.jpg

Guests will notice that next to each embodiment is a smaller figure often shown as a great deal smaller and more timid. Soon, guests will be ushered in into an omnimax theater setting where they will pick their seats.
omnimax_1.jpg

However, in keeping with the theme, the theater will look more like an outdoor roman theater. The sides of the theater will look like cracked stone instead of the normal dark walls. The seats, while padded and comfortable, should be a similar sandy color. Each seat will have their own speakers for clear sound and immersion in the show.
As guests take their seats, the screen will already be active with a bright blue sky and occasional clouds passing by, to help convey the outdoor theater (guests should feel like they're outside).
aspendos_roman_theatre_by_roman_gp-d8tfu74.jpg

Before the show begins, a cast member will recite the safety spiel and indicate where the exits are.
The Show: A voice greets us. (I'm picturing something like Hiccup from How To Train Your Dragon, someone who is unsure in front of others, but rolls their eyes at other people's antics)
Voice: "Hi there! It's been so long since I got to speak with humans. I'm Zephyr, but you probably know me better as the West Wind. "
(The scene pans down from the sky to a grassy field where flowers and tall grasses sway in the breeze.) Note: The audience will never actually see Zephyr. This will be more like from his point of view.

Zephyr: "Thank you for visiting with me. I always love to see you humans enjoying the talents of my family. Oh..my family...well, it's very large. I have thousands of aunts and uncles who can control storms, lightning, rain, and snow. I also have many brothers and sisters; you probably know them as North Wind, South Wind, East Wind, just to name a few. We each have our own duties; I create the gentle breezes in spring."

(The scene will weave through the grass as if the audience is following Zephyr. A slight breeze will flow through the theater. The scene will again pan up to take in a nice spring day, with a bright sun, and green grass.)

Zephyr: "My family is very..uh..active. We each have our different thoughts and reactions, some a little more passionate than others. Oh, who I am kidding, we fight a lot and you humans sometimes feel the brunt of our controllable disagreements."

Zephyr: "Where do I fit in? You know when everyone else is fighting and not talking to each other so they use some poor sap to send passive aggressive messages? Yeah, I'm that sap. But it's not all bad; let me show you."
(Suddenly, Zephyr takes off and we follow as him soars through the air, occasionally doing barrel rolls. Wind sound effects followed by a stronger wind through the theater. We arrive up in the clouds.)
clouds-18.jpg

Zephyr: "Here are my cousins, the clouds."
(The scene has us diving around and occasionally through the clouds.)
"They're such gossips. They constantly gather around all day and talk. Ever gets tired of the constant cloudy days? That's when you know there must be some juicy news. Oh look there is some now."
(Zephyr takes off to a cluster of clouds and descends.)
cyclone-from-space-awesome.jpg

(The scene is suddenly full of rain and and brutal winds.)
Hurricane_Katrina_23.jpg

Zephyr: "Uh, sorry. It looks like this might be a bad time to visit. It seems like the twins, Hurricane and Squall decided to act up."
( The waves crash and swamp a lighthouse, roaring back to repeat again and again.)
Zephyr: "Where is North Wind when you need him? He's a little frigid, but his cooler head always manages to freeze the Twins in their tracks."
(A chill goes through the theater. And snow starts to fall.)
Zephyr: (in relief) "There he is."
(The stormy weather dissipates until only the snow remains. However as we look around, the lighthouse is now a frozen block of ice.)
frozen-lighthouses-5%25255B6%25255D.jpg

Zephyr laughs nervously. "Oh look, time to go."
(As we ascend again, we look back to see the snow continues to fall, getting higher and higher.)
Zephyr: "Lets try somewhere a little warmer. How about we visit South Wind? He's not so bad, but boy does he have a temper."
(We dive through the clouds only to see a huge sandstorm and Zephyr has landed us right in the oncoming path.)
1f7f18d.png

(Much like Wall-E and Eve in the sandstorm, our view is suddenly clouded over. Through the speakers, the guests can hearing the tinking of the sand grains striking them. A warmer breeze flows through the theater.)
Zehpyr: "Great! (Exacerbated) Don't know what got his wind shear up."
(The sandstorm continues until we hear what sounds like rain.
The scene starts to show a gentle rainfall.
Zephyr: "Uh-oh, I don't like the look of this. I think East Wind is trying to rain on his parade."
(The rain suddenly becomes violent, and the noise is almost deafening to the audience.)
Zephyr: "East! Stop it"
(The wind blows harder. The wind howls through the speakers.)
Zephyr: "Oh great! Who invited Tempest?!"
3601.jpg

Zephyr: "Don't worry, she likes her sudden storms and temper tantrums, but she tires out pretty quickly. Just be glad she didn't bring.." (Suddenly, lightning strikes and thunder booms through the theater.) "..thunder and lightening."
Extreme-Weather-WMO-FLickr-CC-BY-NC-ND-2-0.jpg

Zephyr: "This needs to stop before it gets out of hand!" A lightening bolt strikes just in front of us.
Zephyr" "Hey! Don't shoot the messenger!"
(A green sky slowly edges across the scene followed quickly by hail that is coming down. The impact made by the hailstones comes through the speakers almost as if they were standing in the middle of it.The scene pans to the ground, showing hail bigger than baseballs. The wind roars through the speakers whips and howls.)
Zephyr: "Look out!"
(One tornado touches down.)
Zephyr: "This wasn't supposed to happen."
(A second tornado touches down.)
Zephyr: "Everyone! Please stop!"
(Three tornadoes touch down. The wind, the lightning, and the thunder are constantly echoing, drowning out Zephyr's pleas.)
Tornado-2014-420x240.jpg

Zephyr: "It's a family feud!"
(The scene turns around and a tornado is right on top of us! We're sucked up into the tornado staring straight up into the eye.)
TRAILER-Oz-The-Great-and-Powerful-2013-james-franco-balloon%20inside%20the%20tornado%2032303789-1064-795.jpg

Zephyr: "Hold on, everybody! I'm going to try and get us out."
(The scene shows us struggling towards the top, until finally we bust through. We rise above the storm where Zephyr lands us in a soaked field, the clouds start to disappear and the sun begins to shine.)
Zephyr: "Sorry about that. Like I said my family can be a little extreme sometimes, but we're not all bad. Look! Here's my favorite part after a big family fight."
5333.jpg

Zephyr: "Doesn't she do beautiful work?"
(The scene pans away as Zephyr continues on.)
Zephyr: "Sorry about all that again, but I hope you come back to visit me again. Or maybe I can come visit you where you live. I need a vacation."
(The scene stops panning until the same bright blue sky that the guest first saw when they entered the show.)

Preshow:

You enter a large room filled with computers and animatronic meteorologists looking at radars and live weather feed. Then you see Dr. Lisa Skinner (AA) turn and greet you…

Dr. Lisa Skinner: Hello, My name is Dr. Skinner, and welcome to The Weather Institute!

(Theme Plays)

Dr. Lisa Skinner: Every day at the weather institute we are gaining new insight on the mysteries of nature’s greatest force, Tornados.

Tornados come in many shapes and sizes, and given the correct weather conditions we can see tornados at their best.

(Then Dr. David Matthews (AA) stands)

Dr. David Matthews: Hello everybody, I’m Dr. David Matthews; I am the head Meteorologist here at WI.

The Weather Institute has spent millions developing a state of the art storm chasing team called The Interceptors. This team includes a State of the art Vehicle We call Zulu 714, Piloted By our very own Reed Williams! Thanks to its armor and airflow reduction technology, Zulu is able to record data inside of a tornado!

Dr. Lisa Skinner: But that vehicle is way too dangerous for our observers to ride in. You will be riding in this specially designed transport van. Dr. Matthews, how’s the weather?

Dr. David Matthews: Well conditions today are just screaming tornado, we will be likely to catch some big ones!

Dr. Lisa Skinner: Thank you, well everybody looks like we are all ready to go! Have fun and stay safe!

(the room then goes dark and the large screen at the front of the room then turns to static and then Reed Williams is seen working on Zulu)

Reed Williams: Hey there folks, I’m Reed Williams and ill be your Drive- *Skinner cuts him off*

Dr. Lisa Skinner: You will be the LEADER of the chasing convoy. Your tornado interceptor is too dangerous for our dear guests here.

Reed Williams: Ah you always ruin the fun in storm chasing Skinner.

Dr. Lisa Skinner: That’s Dr. Skinner and im just doing my job Reed!

Reed Williams: Yes ma’am, see yall on the field.

(Screen turns back to radar. Dr. Skinner then turns to face the crowd.)

Dr. Lisa Skinner: Well now that you know your mission, please listen to the following safety insructions, and have a safe and educational ride.

(The room then turns dark)

(Saftey Instructions)

(Then you see a door open in the corner and Reed pops out)

Reed Williams: I know y’all are supposed to go in this boring old transport van, but I thought we could switch yall over to Zulu and have some real fun! Just head through those doors and let’s get to chasing!

You then head through the doors and into a garage where you see multiple vehicles ready to leave, and then you see Zulu pulling up to the loading area.

(Two loading areas for capacity)

Ride Vehicle:

Your ride vehicle is a tornado interceptor. It borrows the design from star tours (40 seats on a motion base) except there are large windows on the sides and there is a screen up in the front. And the entire thing is on a wheelbase. The cars are also trackless. An animatronic Reed sits up front.

(Everything is accurate except the theater will feature multiple wind and rain effects from the ceiling.)

THE RIDE:

Reed Williams: Hello again everybody, just finished doing one last check on Zulu and looks like she’s ready to go. Is everybody ready?

Interceptor team: Affirmative, you are clear for go. Contacting your team now... We are clear, let's move out.

Dr. Lisa Skinner: Williams! Where are all of my passengers?!

Reed Williams: I thought they could come along with me. Good luck.

(Switches radio off)

Reed Williams: ok let’s set off.

(Reed pushes a button and a garage door opens, the car then starts and takes off down the road)

(Your car enters a large 360 screen room)

Reed Williams: Our Radar feed from the Doppler car will be displayed here on this monitor. Oh! You see that? It’s a circulation, thats where we're going to see our twister.

(Sirens go off)

Reed Williams: There go the sirens! And here comes the rain.

(Rain begins to pelt down)

Reed Williams: That right there is the Wall cloud, IF we are going to see a tornado that’s where it’s going to be.

(Lightning strikes left of car)

Reed Williams: Whoa!

Interceptor team: we are getting signs of a lowering circulation at 3 o’clock

Reed Williams: Affirmative! We are in pursuit!

(Car speeds up)

Reed Williams: we are going to have to try and get in front of it, are goal here is to try and get into a twister.

(Turn right and appears to be in the path of the tornado)

Reed Williams: Planting vehicle, we are ready for intercept.

Interceptor team: this one looks good it's headed right for you- oh no, it’s loosing strength?

Reed Williams: Come on, keep going.

(Tornado disappears)

Reed Williams: man, I thought we had that one…

Interceptor team: We are getting sign of another funnel dropping just south of your position

Reed Williams: Affirmative were heading there now.

(Your car leaves the room and into a set with screens to enhance the look of it)

(Lightning strikes tree, tree falls over. Reed slams on the brakes)

Reed Williams: Rats! Control we’re going to have to go around!

Interceptor team: Affirmative, take a right.

(Zulu Backs up and takes a turn into another 360 room)

Reed Williams: There it is to our Left! Man this thing is getting strong.

Interceptor team: Left at the next intersection.

Reed Williams: Alright!

(Zulu takes sharp left)

Reed Williams: we’re gonna get right in front of it!

Interceptor team: Zulu it’s turning off course!

Reed Williams: Control what’s happening

Interceptor team: Drive! Drive!

(Zulu takes off down the road)

Reed Williams: this thing is getting big!

Interceptor team: Left!

(Zulu lefts down a dirt road)

(Winds pick up)

Reed Williams: Control this thing is a monster ABORT! ABORT!

(Tires squeal as tornado approaches)

Reed Williams: I’m stuck! Looks like were intercepting anyways

Interceptor team: it’s too strong! You won’t stay on the ground!

Reed Williams: We have no choice! Hang on everybody!

(Wind and hail pick up, Zulu bunkers down)

Reed Williams: TREE!

(Tree hits Zulu)

Reed Williams: WERE GOING IN

(Tornado approaches car shakes, the lights go out and the windows in the car break out (lift away) and the rain and wind blast through the inside.)

(Tornado then picks up the car and hurdles it inside the tornado)

(car actually is lifted into a 360 screen on the second floor)

Interceptor team: WHATS GOING On…..

(Static)

(Then Zulu approaches the eye where everything is still, trees cars and power lines can be seen floating)

Reed Williams: whoa, look at this!

(Zulu then leaves the tornado where it plummets to the ground, drops back down into 360 room 2)

Interceptor team: IS EVERYBODY OK

Reed Williams (Shocked, shaking): *Gulp* Yea, (laughing)

Control we were the first to get a research team into a tornado! Look at this data!!

Interceptor team: (Cheers)

(You leave the 360 room and turn back into the garage)

Reed Williams: Folks, you can unfasten your seatbelts, and good job.

Welcome back to the Weather Institute, and have a great day here at Epcot Center!

(Doors Open)

Ride Audio:

I also created a ride audio for the Weather wars attraction to help better visualize the ride experience. Thanks again to Loa Shelley for composing the music.

E-ticket - Into The Void of Technology
6 trains with 6 cars. Riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows for a total of 24 riders per train.
Height Requirement: 44 inches
Top Speed: 46 mph
Lift/Launch System: Uses two launches

Description:
You were supposed to be on a transportation route through the world's most innovative factory until the newest technology, a computer program with with AI, and a physical form, goes rogue and it becomes a virus.

What separates this roller coaster from any other is its technology, it uses a maglev system for an impeccably smooth ride. You start out through the queue which features robotics, magnetism, and health. At the combination point for Fastpass+ and Standby, the line goes up stairs to rise above the track, you then proceed to go down again. Once you arrive at the duel loading area, you will be directed to either the left train, or the right. The onboard narration is different depending on which side you ride on, even though they both use the same track for the ride itself. Scene one: there are robotic arms building things on both sides of the vehicle. Once the scene is completed the vehicle then accelerates to the next scene which shows a computer virus in a physical form with an appearance that electricity is what allows him to be seen. The vehicle once again accelerates except this time to escape in darkness, and then stops at scene three which shows security robots shooting lasers at the virus. The virus then jumps into computers, and we are told by security to chase him, so then we speed up and stop at a portal that allows us to enter the computer world. The vehicle then gets launched with a max speed of 46 mph, and then enters the motherboard. We see the Virus throughout, everything with cool Tron like lighting, but with an influence of circuits, and computer chips etc. The coaster part overall is very fast with its speed, and a second launch part allowing for a truly sleek ride. We finish the ride by exiting the computers through a portal, and then seeing the virus in a maximum security cylinder holding cell, and then we proceed to disembark. Once you exit, if you are on the right side you will have to go up and down a staircase to reunite with the left side.

The Transportation Pavilion:

test-track-facade-500x265.jpg

Let's face it, EPCOT, even after the addition of Frozen Ever After, still desperately needs new experiences, especially in the lacking half-closed Future World area. A new pavilion is not only needed, but imminent.

Although transportation is covered via Test Track, the topic isn't fully explored and the topic itself could fill up a whole pavilion. The Transportation Pavilion will do just that.

Filling up the space behind and to the sides of the Test Track building, the Transportation Pavilion showcases the wonders of the past and future with transportation. We have come quite a ways in transport, from slow-paced horseback to speedy hybrid cars and massive passenger airplanes.

Anchored by a overhauled, renamed Test Track, the pavilion consists of an aviation D-ticket dark ride, an exhibition similar to Innoventions, and a variety of shops and restaurants keeping to the theme.

What are we waiting for? Let's explore! :D

DESIGN:

Capture%20drsquoeacutecran%202015-07-15%20agrave%2004.14.00.png~original

As mentioned above, the pavilion will extend behind and to the sides of the Test Track showbuilding. However, in order to fit the design of "Future World", the area as a whole needs a clean, vibrant, futuristic update. Need inspiration? Look no forward than Tron Lightcycle Power Run. :)

The building's wavy, clean style really just reeks of a potential modern Future World. In order to fit an entire pavilion and dark ride, the shape is circularized (still keeping the wavy segments as a sign of motion), and if you look carefully at the roof, you'll find it appears similar to a wheel.. Hmm... :bookworm:

Stepping inside through a large side entrance by the new Test Track,
called Time Racers, we find ourselves in a calm yet retro view of the future. The entire roof is made of stained glass. The whole building is lit by sunlight during the day, and dazzling LED lights by night. Through futuristic entrances are the main attractions, while the exhibition portion is found in the open-air plaza. Not-to-scale models of planes are found hanging and soaring near Flight of the Aviators.

A large fountain splashes in the middle of the plaza. Since the pavilion is sponsored by Chevrolet, it only fits that the newest Chevy model rises above the streams of water, freshly painted and cool as ever.

And as part of this pavilion expansion, Test Track is getting a major overhaul to fit it into the ideas of Future World
and this pavilion. While the ride system, ride track, and thrills that make the ride popular are remaining, the theme and story are getting changes. Now, instead of traveling through a test facility, guests travel through time, discovering how automobiles, roads, and transportation have evolved. Using both inspiration from World of Motion, Test Track, and even a certain lost Epcot project, we would like to introduce…

Time Racers

test-track-presented-by-chevrolet-00.jpg

The queue line and loading area is now redesigned to be a modern Transportation museum and research center, known as the “Transportation Institute,” full of pictures, artifacts, and more, showing the history of transportation. The queue starts with information on the deep past of transportation along the walls, and as the queue goes on, history goes on, and by the end of the queue guests will see multiple monitors with continually updated information about the future of transportation technology. As guests approach loading, a voice-over explains “The Transportation Institute is preparing your time cars to take a journey through the history of transportation!” and then explains all health and safety information. Guests load the cars, which are painted to be silver and sleek, and continue onto the ride.

The current version of the ride. Use the video to help follow along!

The first incline of the attraction now has a giant vortex surrounding it, with time vortex effects surrounding it to transport guests into the past. Vehicles turn into an ancient Roman landscape, driving on top of one of the first roads. “We’re now descending upon ancient Rome… who created the very first road system.” This entire scene is an expanded version of the Rom
an scene from Spaceship Earth. They descend, seeing Roman buildings on each side, and at the end of the road, is a Roman chariot with animatronics of a horse and humans riding it. As the time car drives by, the Roman sees the car, becomes alarmed, and the ride vehicle quickly races away. At the next U-turn, guests enter another, smaller vortex, that leads to another time period.

This time, guests enter the age of some of the earliest automobiles. Some steam powered cars of the the very late 19th/early 20th century surround the vehicle on an old American road. “You’ve just entered the age of 20th century automobiles, the age where transportation grew rapidly worldwide!” The vehicle continues forward and turns through this road, and a steam powered train can also be seen in a nearby station. Clever forced perspective allows these scenes to appear larger despite being in a tight space. The vehicle continues on into the former heat/freezing rooms, which now look like garages
from this time period. The mirrors now have a very impressive pepper’s ghost effect, where it looks as if the ride vehicle has transformed into an old steam car to blend in. “Let’s head on to the more recent modern age of automobiles!” The vehicle quickly transforms back into a sleek time racer, then transports further into the future.

The guests enter another time period; a very modern road, winding through the wilderness. “Hey, looks like we’re catching up to modern day! The age where transportation became better, sleeker, and
most fun of all, faster!” This fast, winding section is mostly the same as before, up until the infamous truck near-miss scene.

Right after, the vehicle enters a very futuristic room, as the vehicle prepares for the fast portion. “As you saw on your travels, transportation has changed greatly over the years, and it still is!” The room lights up a bit more to reveal that it is a futuristic city, in a state of perpetual motion, very similar to the one in the classic Epcot attraction, World of Motion. “Prepare to enter… a world of motion!” The ride vehicle speeds up out of this room and blasts outside for the famous outdoor portion. The vibrant canopies that surround the pavilion light up with the
vehicle, making guests feel as if they’re traveling at high speeds through the universe. The track loops by the pavilion, goes in its huge circle, and returns to loading, ending the guest's time travel adventure. After the ride, guests enter the Time Institute gift shop, and several post show exhibits that are part of the pavilion. These exhibits are known as The Time Institute Exhibition Floor and are continually updated over time. Now, onto the next attraction!

Flight of the Aviators

Flight of the Aviators is a D-ticket dark ride that takes guests on a whimsical and wondrous journey through the history of flight and the future of transportation, once again inspired by World of Motion, and this time also by the defunct "If You Had Wings" attraction. The queue is once again through the "Transportation Institute," this time showing guests the history of aviation and flight.

The ride experience begins as guests board WoM-esque omnimovers, and move onto a first show scene. This scene features early man, such as cave-men, ancient scholars, and more dreaming of flight. This scene is presented as both wondrous, with our ancestors dreaming of flight, and humorous, with the animatronic characters passing it off as a silly idea that can never happen.

Onto the next scene, with an animatronic Leonardo da Vinci going over his many failed attempts at flight. He has blueprints scattered across his walls, which double as projections, that show humorous animations of them failing miserably.

However, fog begins to spill in as guests enter the next scene; the first flight of the Wright brothers. Animatronics of the brothers are seen sitting on the plane, and fog and projections surround the room, making guests feel like they're flying for the first time with the two brothers.

This transitions into a scene with projections, with a lot of inspiration from the lost Magic Kingdom attraction, "If You Had Wings." To be clearly different than Soarin', each projection shows guests flying through a different time period; flying with the first hot air balloons, flying with the first commercial planes, and slowly building up through time until the screen portion ends.

The final scene is a futuristic city and airport, where airlines are flying faster than ever before, technology for flight is readily available, and aviation is a study that anyone can pick up. The attraction ends after this scene, and guests unload into the Time Institute gift shop and exhibition space shared with Time Racers. Here, guests may also find several exhibits about transportation, including large planes, cars, etc., interactive games and models, and more.

LOOP DE LOOP: Cuisine with a Thrill

In our restaurant concept, we've decided to integrate transportation to the restaurant. These roller coaster restaurants are quite doable and are throughout Europe. The food and beverages people order are delivered via roller coaster. Definitely entices and excites ages young and old!

The restaurant in Disney will incorporate more interactive components, like an interactive fish wall as families wait to be seated. These games will be similar to what is in the queue line in Soarin'. In addition, the family (or each individual) can contest other teams throughout their meal through touch screen pads (similar to Buffalo Wild Wings). This can include trivia, brain games, etc.

In addition, like the Roller Coaster Restaurant in Alton (UK) the one at Disney will feature a Beer Garden. This restaurant will feature the first Disney-own brewed beer. There will be staple beer that will be around all year, seasonal beer, rotating beer on tap, and "rarer beers".

Beer examples:
Chip and 'Ale: An American Pale Ale with citrus undertones
Bippity, Hoppity, Brew: A double/imperial IPA with similar taste to the beloved Heady Topper
Sleeping Brewty: An imperial stout with vanilla bean

Lastly, the meal will incorporate organic, healthy options. To invest in the future is to invest in the healthiness of a person's body. To incorporate pickier eaters, we will have generic staples (like mac and cheese) but include the option to "make with soy or almond milk per request"

Conclusion:

Even with Frozen Ever After, EPCOT is still in dire need for new and fresh experiences. The Transportation Pavilion hopes to solve this.

With a new dark ride, a unique restaurant, and an overhauled Test Track, The Transportation Pavillion strives to educate about the evolution of motion and transportation while providing new attractions for all ages.

Year Five - The Second War Begins

First off, thank you to all teams for submitting this round! The projects were fantastic and I'm so proud of everyone's hard work!

This is more of an announcement (not with House Cup) but during the break between challenges I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to learn about the next armchair-imagineering event on the Imagineer forum as The House Cup reaches its penultimate round! (It's hard for me to imagine how fast it has all gone, these last two months have been a blast!:D)

For Summer 2016 on the Imagineer Forum, an event with 12 Seasons of history and experience will host its first Season on wdwmagic...

So, You Want To Be An Imagineer Season 13 "Get a Clue"
13423835_1038375492924295_1551369101897456017_n.jpg

Hosted by @TheOriginalTiki and @JokersWild - this imagineering event will surely be the highlight of the summer! With a "mystery" theme to the Season, and revolving
around an original story about the Society of Explorers and Adventures, you'll work together in fun challenges with the unique twist of trying to solve a mystery as well.

If you're enjoying House Cup and you like imagineering, you should try it out! :)

Sign-Ups are currently underway in the link below
http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/...agineer-season-13-get-a-clue-sign-ups.914199/

So far there are 10 imagineers signed up (including yours truly) though the one thing I should mention is unlike House Cup, they have a maximum of 20 slots in their event, so if you're interested sign-up soon to reserve your slot!

It will begin June 24th and go throughout the summer. Should be an exciting event!

First of all, I really enjoyed the fact that you chose to pick Innovations to fix up! It’s really the core area of the park and I’ve always really have thought of it as the hub and Main Street of Epcot. New Horizons (awesome name by the way!) is nice because the transportation to different pavilions through the walkway and people mover, the levels, and the continuation of Spaceship Earth though your attraction. I also was a little disappointed that you got rid of the Beverley from Club Cool, it’s one of those “I have to see how terrible it is” drinks to have at Epcot. If you chose a character for a meet and greet, I would’ve hoped to see a popular IP (Such as Baymax) instead of “Tom Morrow”, but that’s a minor detail. Your café and gift shop seemed like good replacements. Fantastic concept art, fantastic attraction, well done!

A weather pavilion seems like a natural fit for Epcot, and I really like where you chose to put this pavilion! I enjoyed how you stuck true to Epcot’s original Edutainment message. The artwork, maps, and pictures really helped me visualize this project, so awesome job on that! Meteorology & Me, Eye of the Storm, and Weather Wars seemed like fantastic additions, fun and sticking true to Epcot’s Edutainment purpose! Ride audio was an EXCELLENT piece! It really was the prize jewel for your pavilion. Picnic Basket seemed like a nice quick service, but I wish it had more of a weather-based theme. Though, your Vortex restaurant seemed so great it might make Coral Reef’s attendance go down drastically, I have to give you props for that. Overall, great work!

The idea of a technical cyberspace pavilion is an interesting concept. Your lobby seemed nice and it seemed to match your exterior. Into The Void of Technology seemed like a good E-Ticket to your pavilion! I enjoyed the key for the World of Robotics, the restaurant, and the gift shop. However, I wish your pavilion was more cohesive then what was provided. The Retro restaurant, dreamfinder shop, and the E-Ticket don’t really mesh well theme wise. All solid work! I just wish the pavilion had more of a connected story.

Slytherin

First of all, I really like how you chose the idea of developing transportation into a full pavilion instead of just the car testing of Test Track. I like the design of the extended pavilion! I’m a little disappointed with Time Racers, it seemed like you tried to mix World of Motion with Test Track and it missed. Flight of the Aviators seems very similar to Soarin’ at DCA, and with Soarin’ across the way in the Land, it seemed a little redundant. Loop de Loop seemed like a great future world restaurant. All in all, nice choice for a pavilion, though I wished for a few more original attractions.
