What kind of stores would you like to see at DS?
I don't want anymore stores. While I recognize that no clubs are coming back, I am waiting for them to offer something dedicated to adults. Honestly, they have such awesome spaces on DCL, something like that would be cool. WOW me with the resources, tech, and imagineering at Disney's disposal. Something akin to the cityscape(or whatever it is called) bar on the Dream would be great. Make a chill out place, have a drink, but have all those little details that make Disney what it is.

Or how about a store dedicated to Disney villains? How about a bar dedicated to it? Imagine an ultra lounge themed around the voodoo guy in Princes and the Frog.

In short, innovate, don't play landlord. Yeah, I know that's not what they do anymore(mostly), but you asked what I want to see, so there ya go.

from the information known so far it looks like Boathouse, Hanger, STK & Edison (or whatever) will offer some of those places to get a drink, but they are unlikely to offer chill out as music is expected in most venues on the Landing.

Nothing new in Disney Springs is expected to be operated by Disney. All bars / restaurants will be third party. Also don't expect any more stores selling Disney merch, Marketplace is already full of these. Town Center is expected to almost all be stores. While most Americans will complain of a lot of stores being same as are in other cities, to an international guest they should be new. But then some of the rumours were British brands opening for the first time in Florida so I could be the one with no new stores to see!

There did used to be a store on Pleasure Island that specialised in Villians merch, i remember buying from it and although I would love this concept to return. There are plenty of places to get Disney stuff in Marketplace already. Keep a Town Center as non-Disney brands.

yeah I'm aware of what's "expected" which is why I'm bored with the things they have announced thus far.

I think a place that offers music can still be a place to chill. Boathouse, for instance, seems to be going for the acoustic guitar/singer vibe (like outside at Splitsville).

I wouldn't underestimate the role alcohol will play in The Landing. If venues are required to say open until 2:00 am, as rumored (and seemingly confirmed by Boathouse), that's 3+ hours per night where the main revenue will be booze, not food.

Whatever happened to The Jeckyl and Hyde Club. Was rumored early on but doesn't appear on the radar anymore. I get it with the high end Steakhouse and The new Asian place. But those places could fit in at The Pointe or the New I drive live as easily as they could fit in at Disney Springs. Not saying I'm complaining about those two but I think Disney should have at least 2 or 3 new restaurants that are in the true Disney mold.

The Boathouse seems to be one of them, and looks like a great fit. Gives them something that has been lacking with a true raw bar (hopefully) and entertainment options. The Boathouse also looks as if it will get great traction day or night, while STK and Morimoto's seem more like evening options. Disney's strengths have always been in the theming and cast member interaction. That is why so many people long for a resurrection of the Adventures Club which we all know isn't happening. The AC was a destination unto itself. Seems like the Boathouse will be as well. Jeckyl and Hyde looked like a natural fit. Haven't heard too many details on the Hanger, Edison, or the rumored Train restaurant. Hopefully one of them will be in the Disney mold.

There are still two resturants coming to PI that we don't know anything about. One by the Patina Restaurant Group and one by the Edison people.

Also heard Raglan's parent Great Irish Pubs may be opening something new as well. Been to the Edison in LA. Has great potential but don't know how well Disney is going to take to the Absinthe Cart. Patina does well in Epcot, but I'm hoping for something that has more ambience than sophistication.

I believe Ranglan is getting some sort of quick service location attached to the current resturant. The Edison location could be interesting especially since a good part of it is underground.

All the rumors I heard--which were sort of unofficially confirmed by a friend in NYC--had it going to CityWalk, not Disney. Been at least 2 years, tho, and the heavily speculated location became Breadbox and Menchies. Could still pop up down here--newly redeveloped I-Drive seems like a natural fit--but nothing has hit the radar recently.

You are probably right, but they still haven't announced what is going into Citywalk to replace NASCAR.

It's already pretty well known what's going in NASCAR's spot, an NBC/Comcast branded sports place similar to what they have in Philly.
Xfinity live? Interesting. I assume it won't have the local Philly stuff but more of a generic sports bar theme. The company that built it has one in Baltimore too. I would be most pleased with a Victory Beer Hall if they decide to include that.

There will be some Disney operated stores and restaurants in Disney Springs to open in the later phases.
