Yak and Yeti

Okay so I know it's not everyone's favorite but I am the curious type so I want to try it.

However we are going in November and free dinning is underway, there are zero times available. We have resies somewhere else just in case.

My question is, what are the odds during free dinning that a party of 6 walks up to Yak and Yeti and get in around 5:30? I don't want to risk cancelling our other reservation at Raglan just in case we cannot.

I would call the restaurant directly at (407) 824-9384. Yack and Yeti is owned by the same company that owns the Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex. I know that Rainforest and T-Rex do not release all of their available reservations to Disney's reservation system and do a portion in house. The same might be true for Yack and Yeti.

If that is not the case and they are full, I would not risk it with a party of 6 unless you do not mind eating quick service as a alternative.

Further to this I would recommend getting the Landry Select card. It's their loyalty card - it costs $25 but you get a $25 credit on it immediately to use towards dining. You also get a $25 credit on your birthday and can use the credit that month so if any adult in your traveling party has a birthday in November I would recommend getting the card in their name. I have also read here that they will sit cardholders immediately on walk-up. Not quite the same but we had a 5:30 ADR at TRex and arrived early and were seated immediately.

EDIT: This is from their website www.landryselect.com:

Correct. I have had that card since it was the Safari Club. The instant seating at Rainforest and T-Rex has been a life saver in the past, but I seem to remember that the seating benefit was not available at Yak and Yeti. I could be wrong, but I would confirm that it is available there before getting the card solely for that purpose.

I like Yak & Yeti quite a bit.
Makes for a nice change to the usual 'sandwiches and fries' options.

The cold non-alcoholic drinks are yummy on a warm afternoon ( though pricey ) and i find the food to be good.
I favor the vegetarian options, so cannot give an opinion regarding the meat dishes.

The decor is fascinating if you have a interest in Asian/Nepalese art and artifacts.
Some real eye candy to enjoy while waiting for your order.
As i mentioned earlier, it makes for a nice change to the usual meal options.

If you are lucky, you will be seated upstairs overlooking the main walkway into 'Asia'.
This is a great spot to people watch from above.

Enjoy your visit !

Costco sells McCormick and Schmidt gift cards which is part of the Landry chain and googling this it looks like they can be used at WDW properties to get a discount. Has anybody had any luck?
