When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
You'll love it, no matter! It's Walt's original Park dream come true...!!!!! :joyfull:
We really need to plan a trip back. I first went when I was 6 yrs. old in '68 when we lived in NoCal.
Have returned 4 more times... '70, '72, '87, and '10.
Love that place sooooo much!!! :)
This was supposed to be the year for our first DL trip ever.

BFF/SIL was supposed to be going to Europe with her ex-MIL, but Oma's poor health caused those plans to tank, and despite my best efforts, I just couldn't talk Hubby out of his comfort zone.

Mark it down. It's not often I fail to persuade.

yeah, I watched the DVD and it got me interested. It will also be the first time we are taking our daughter, who will be over 2 years old by then. Figure it is probably a good place to take her for her first Disney park as it is not so spread out like WDW.

I had my son at 14 months at WDW and my DD first trip was at 2 months. My first trip to DL as a little tyke was at 18 months.

I don't hate the update of TT but I liked the original one better. I tired of the queue and the breakdowns but not the experience when it operated properly. I guess I don't get the revision, it seems disjointed. To me they took a very well imagineered attraction and turned the storyline into a Meh.
They just made it look like Tron 2, replaced the bump and environment tests with nothing, and stopped explaining the speeding up and braking portion. The update is one of those one step forward, two steps back type situations.

And don't forget, "Oh look, pretty neon lights".

That being said, the outdoor portion is still great fun, despite being no different than driving in a convertible on the highway.

haha, I think I may be the only person who prefers 2.0. Maybe it is because I am super competitive and my car design always has to beat everyone else's. Otherwise I throw a tantrum and run away crying.

This is the pile of hooey DS and myself designed on our last trip just to be silly.
Oldest DD and her hubbies design was WAY more aerodynamic and sensible, performance-wise, all the way around. Still, somehow, we kicked their butts...???!!!

And which side of the debate were you landing on?

haha, you had to ask.

I understand both sides of the argument, although I am optimistic about the future of WDW (I am usually an optimistic person in general anyways and not so much doom and gloom). My problem with those types of threads is that the majority is the same posts and talking points I have seen over and over again from other threads. Nothing new. So I spend most of my time trying to find the one new interesting point, which only occurs once on each page if I am lucky.

Drive a convertible on the highway? For that one day in August that you can where you are?

After seeing what is in the middle of the outdoor track and the outside, I now enjoy the fast ride while trying to focus on what is around the track today.

It looks like you ran into a shopping cart. And are black things on the sides supposed to make it float or just make it impossible to open the doors?
