We have traditions. Our first trip to MK we ALWAYS do Pirates first then head make our way thru the park clockwise.

Epcot it's always Spaceship Earth, after DH makes a dash for a fastpass for either Test Track or Soarin

DHS mad dash for Toy Story fastpass then usually Star Tours. My kids are scared to try Tower of Terror or we'd do that after TS fastpass.

AK always always do Safari 1st. The animals seem to be most active early and late in the day.

At DHS, you need to do Toy Story Midway Mania right away or wait 2 hours in line. At worst case, get your Fast Passes.

At AK, Killimanjaro Safari's...or at least get a Fast Pass.

At MK, If they are coaster riders, I would say Space Mountain. If not,

In Epcot, either ride or get your FP's for Soarin' at rope drop or it will be 2 hrs in line here too.

DHS - cannot be stressed enough. Follow the masses to Toy Story Midway Mania and grab a fastpass and/or hop in stand by. These fastpasses are gone so fast you think the ride was closing that day.

I personally have 2 strategies for DHS. I go one 2 different mornings. I hit TSMM first and grab a fastpass then jump in line. On the other morning I head down Hollywood Blvd and ride TOT and Rock n Roller Coaster as many times as I can before the TSMM crowd comes down that way.

But the crowd knows what they are doing. TSMM is so crazy crowded throughout the day that first thing in the am is the best time to get a fastpass or jump in stand by.

This is usually the exact route that we take as well in each park, with the exception of Animal Kingdom...Everest is usually our first stop there.

Things will be different from now on with the little one though, at least at Magic Kingdom, I'm thinking Fantasyland will now be our first stop fro here on out. Well maybe a quick stop by Space to grab fastpasses on our way to Fantasyland!

I guess it all depends on what your children are into. If they are up for coasters and thrills, I would definitely say Space be the first stop but if thats a tad too much, maybe Adventureland or Fantasyland might be the best starting point.

Yes they will ride certain coasters.... LOL not Rock n Roller Coaster type. But for me ohhh yeah!!!!! Yeah i know the TSMM rush is going to be crazy. I have been reading the post and from what i read it's a dash to it.

How is Splash Mountain lines... being with the lap bars added?? Also Pirates in MK, has they slowed down a bit?? maybe not...LOL

MK--Splash Mountain gets long lines fast, so we get fastpasses and go to Fantasyland until time
Epcot--Have to get fastpass for Soarin' early then go ride Test Track or Mission Space or both
AK--Kilimanjaro Safari because the animals aren't roaming when it starts to get hot, then Everest
DHS--Get fastpass for Tower of Terror and go ride Toy Story Mania

Remember---Always go left first. Most guests tend to go to the right once they enter the parks.

Always do the rides with the worst lines first, assuming you are going to be in the park at opening, which I strongly suggest.

So in terms of the Magic Kingdom, that would be either Splash Mountain or Space Mountain. If you do Splash first, head immediately to Big Thunder Mountain, then head across to Space. If you start with Space, then head to Frontierland to get the other two mountains out of the way.

In Epcot, start with Soaring, then head to Test Track.

At DHS, start with Toy Story Mania, then Rockin Roller Coaster, then Tower of Terror.

At AK, start with Expedition Everest, then head toward Kilamanjaro Safari.

All of this assumes you do NOT use Fastpass. An alternative in every park is to send your fastest member to pickup a Fastpass for one attraction, then head to the other headliner. As an alternative, pick up a Fastpass for whichever line you are in first, so you can ride a second time quickly without waiting.

Have fun!

GEt a copy of The Unofficial Guide Walt Disney World 2011 (Unofficial Guides) by Bob Sehlinger and Len Testa

The information there is invaluable if you want to get onto all the rides, gives touring plans for different crowd levels, and really (no matter what some people here think) is pretty much 100% accurate.

Current first ride in each park:

Epcot -- Soarin', then head immediately to Test Track
MK -- Space Mountain or Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain
DHS -- Toy Story Midway Mania, then head immediately to Tower of Terror and Rockin ROller Coaster (fastpass one of them) -- note that fastpass will not be available if you immediately get a fastpass at TSMM
DAK -- Expedition Everest then head directly to Kilamanjaro Safaris

Note: you don't have to worry too much about getting to the ride you want to ride first -- at park opening, 95 percent of the folks entering follow the rope drop escorts to one of the rides above -- you can not run, and you can not really "cut through" (except to BTM in MK through the adventureland shortcut)

I have noticed patterns with the guests and ride cycles specifically for the Magic Kingdom

REMEMBER: Always get Fastpasses as soon as you can, they are life-savers

MK- Go to FANTASYLAND first. Dumbo fills up rediculously quick with relatively slow rotation, maybe hit a few rides in there as well but then go to Tomorrowland and get on the Speedway, which also fills up fast with slow rotation.

You can choose to get a fastpass for space mountain now or if the wait time is short enough get on, or do both. The trick with Tomorrowland rides is that anything that glows and is outdoors will stay crowded both day and night. I recommend doing Tomorrowland 2nd.

You can then return to Fantasyland to finish any of the attractions there.

It should be getting close to noon at this point, this is a good time for the Haunted Mansion on your way to Frontierland.

Once in Frontierland you basically have two choices Splash Mountain or Big Thunder. Either works but as both are at peak occupancy at this time i would suggest getting fastpasses then find a place to get something to eat for lunch / see a show or parade.

Adventureland's only true attraction would be Pirates. What a wonderful ride, but it is nearly empty come nightfall. Wait towards the end of the day to head there.

At this point you have hit every land, take some time to ride seconds use up any extra fastpasses you have saved. Get a good spot for Wishes. And celebrate the tremendous achievement of getting through a Disney day and enjoy the rest of your vacation.

P.S.- AK: Head to Everest grab a fastpass for later, get on, then go hit Dinoland. The safari wont open til later when the animals are ready

Hollywood Studios: Should be a no brainer, but ToT and RocknRoll, you WILL need a fastpass for Toy Story Mania, everything else is relatively short just make sure you get everything you want in. Also make sure plan your DHS day on a Fantasmic! showing.

Epcot: Test Track and Mission Space are right next to eachother i would go there first just for strategical/distance purposes. Soarin will fill up quick, i would fastpass that if the line has reached over 45min already because the signs always underestimate. The countries are truly optional on what time to go. It all depends on when you would like to see them. Make sure you still plan on getting a seat for illuminations.

Hope this helped enjoy your vacation!

My DH and I always start to the left - hit Adventure Land first and work the fast passes. Usually we get through Frontier Land by lunch and then hit Liberty Square and finish our way around to Tomorrow Land - getting there around parade time. Work the fast passes. You will have a fun time but Easter weekend is a hard time to go. Good luck!

MK - When the park opens, get a FastPass for Peter Pan's Flight, which is the worst ride to wait in line for in the Magic Kingdom. While you are waiting for your time to come up you can do Philharmagic, Haunted Mansion, the Carousel, and Small World as those are all very close and quick loaders. After Peter Pan, go to Frontierland and get a FastPass for Splash Mountain. While waiting for your time you can do Pirates of the Caribbean, Country Bear Jamboree, and Liberty Square Riverboat. That should be a good start ...

MK - I don't think there's really a wrong choice here, it's definitely better to try to hit one, or two depending which way you go, of the coasters early, but most rides are fairly reasonable throughout most days. I tend to go to the right, because I like to hit each of the lands as I go along, but I think it's best to try to avoid some of the high capacity always moving rides, like Haunted Mansion or Pirates of the Caribbean, because they'll remain relatively short all day.

EPCOT - Hit the Land for Soarin' FPs, and then head to M:S and/or Test Track. Those are really the only three rides you have to worry about in the whole park as far as wait times.

DHS - As pretty much everyone's said TSMM for FP or ride and then back to Tower of Terror and RnRC.

AK - Assuming you get there early, start with KS and make your way back around through Asia to Everest and do the attractions that way. Animals are out early in the day on KS, and the wait's not nearly as bad either. I've also found Everest to be pretty easy to get on and off of most days early in the morning.

MK - I always start my day by riding Big Thunder Mt. at least twice then I head to Splash Mt.

Epcot - Even though I enter usually through the back of the park my first stop is Spaceship Earth, then Test Track.

DHS - I'm all over the place here! But I always ride the Great Movie Ride and see One Mans Dream

DAK - Kilimanjaro Safaris is my first stop everytime by the end of the day the park has cleared so I can ride Everest a fw times.

At MK, there are two ways to go, depending on weather. If its a gloomy looking day, start in Tomorrowland. Fast Pass Space Mountain or Buzz Lightyear and go on the other while you wait.

If its a sunny day, fast pass Space Mountain and then get over to Splash Mountain as soon as possible. Riding Splash early means you'll have more time to dry off.

Well it looks this so far for us. Though my wife thinks that we have lot's of time before we go and no need to worry. Ummmmm Noooo April is not far away and i want a good plan not to try and stand in line for like 2 to 3 hours for a ride. I hope not!!!

Note: on these parks we will be in each one when they have there extra evening hours.
Not in this order..

MK-?? Still unsure yet.

Epcot- Soarin, Test Track, then Mission Space

DAK- KS!! Then Everest for sure!!

DHS- TSMM then the other big rides.

Yeah i know the TSMM rush is going to be crazy. I have been reading the post and from what i read it's a dash to it.
The mad dash to TSMM is very controlled. I went during the busiest time of year (between Xmas and New Year) and was in the park for rope drop. There are many CMs along the route leading to TSMM. They don't really let you run amok trying to get there. It is controlled mayhem with some jostling for position but all in all not so bad. Just don't fall down!:animwink:
