Flame Tree BBQ is one of my favorite all time Disney restaurants and this includes sit down restaurants too. I love it! You get a ton of food, there's plenty of seating, and the the food is great!

Quick service in Epcot depends on where you're doing your full service. For example, the fish and chips at Rose & Crown are pretty good but they're exactly the same as the quick service version. Same with the Bratwursts at Sommerfest vs. the Oktoberfest* buffet.

*Off topic - Who decided a sausage buffet would be a good idea in a park that requires miles of walking in 90+ degree heat?

MK - Columbia Harbor House, Cosmic Rays (especially the roasted chicken)

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons, Yakitori House, and I've had mixed experiences at Tangierine Cafe in Morocco (usually it's great, but once in a while the food is kinda "meh")

Studios - I end up eating at Backlot Express, but Counter Service at Studios is generally bad anywhere. Avoid ABC Commissary.

AK - Flame Tree BBQ, Yak & Yeti

Downtown Disney - Wolfgang Puck Express

Ditto, DW loves Cosmic Rays, we have to eat there at least once a trip. I think she a thing for Sonny Eclipse.

Here is our list of favorite quick service.

MK - Pecos Bills, Harbour House
Epcot - Cantina De San Angel (before refurb)
DHS - Pizza Planet
AK - Yak and Yeti above all else. Flame Tree is good too

I agree with just about everything on the list, so here's what's missing:

DHS: Studio Catering Co. is the only place we eat at anymore... we really hate eating at DHS, and in the past have left the park to eat elsewhere.

Epcot: Kringla Bakeri at Norway has excellent sandwiches. I also agree that Tangierine Cafe is hit-or-miss, but I really love that kind of food so I'll go there anyway.

love bratwurts, but im with you, 90+ heat doesn't make them as appetizing .. and i'll be there second week of august! lol

thank you SO much you guys! you all seem to have generally the same choices and some are old favorites of mine too! some new! thank you again so much! i'm new to the boards and quite frankly have been terrified of posting after lurking for a long time before even joining .. sometimes people aren't nice on here even to the most simplest of questions or thoughts, so thank you all for being kind and being so helpful!

Wow, newbie. Travel much? Unbelievable how some people fail to comprehend the simplest things, like ordering food at WDW.

I kid.

The beauty of quick service, Counter Service, is that no reservations are required.

Say you're walking through the Magic Kingdom.
You feel like a hot dog- well, like eating one. So you go to Casey's on Main Street and get one.
You feel a seafood craving in the MK? Columbia Harbor House is near the Haunted Mansion. (Eat upstairs- less crowded)

Same thing in the other parks.
The park I sometimes have a problem with is Hollywood Studios. It seems like it's difficult to get anything decent for Counter Service but hamburgers and fries.

Counter Service motto: Eat when you want to, then move on.
Good luck.

My boyfriend and I are going to Disney World with two friends of ours August 15-21. We are on the dining plan and have an extra table service meal but dont know where to use it. We are eating at Cap'n Jack's (8/15), Chef Mickey's(8/16), Kona Cafe(8/17), Hoop Dee Doo Revue(8/18), Sci Fi Dine In(8/19) and of course Le Cellier(8/20). Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'd say Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's a great place to try something new, and it's probably the highest quality all-you-can-eat restaurant in the World.

One of the World Showcase restaurants, Chefs de France, Biergarten, Rose and Crown etc or Whispering Canyon which always makes for a fun meal.

Welcome to the boards!

I would suggest Teppan Edo at the Japan Pavillion. I have also heard some decent reviews of The Wave at the Contemporary, I will be trying that on my next trip in August (same time as you actually!) :)
