Very hard, and very sad to believe that "America's Newsman", "The most trusted man in America" and the narrator of SSE 1986 is gone.

I thought of that too. I know MJ was a big deal, but hopefully there is coverage and specials for him, too.

If they don't announce him, I doubt it will change. I think it would be odd to have his name still in it.

This man was as much a part of my childhood as any entertainer. Such a stirring voice.....RIP.

He was so much more than a narrator. I grew up in the 60's listening to him - through the assassinations, the protests, and the amazing space missions. He guided us all with integrity and humanity, and saw the roll of news of the world as something so important, so vital, and so interesting that we faithfully looked forward to his broadcasts.
