I have my ADR's for Rose & Crown for Illuminations, Brown Durby for Fantasmic, and CA Grill for fireworks. How early should I get to each place for the best seats? Which ones are the best seats? Are the fireworks good from CA Grill or should I still view them from The Hub?

:sohappy: :sohappy: I leave in 17 days!:sohappy: :sohappy:

For Rose and Crown, did you make sure to leave a note on the reservation that you would like a water-front view? Most of the outside patio is covered, so if you havent I would either call the wdw-dine and ask them to add a note to the reservation, or arrive atleast 45 minutes early to R&C and request a good table.

Hi Sue
Here is a link with a similar discussion on the Dining and Restaurants board

In there I said that it was my experience (last Spring) that we could not request specific seats at Rose and Crown, and could not come early or stay late to stretch it out and catch the fireworks. Plus, if you weren't seated where you could see them, you pretty much missed them. If the fireworks are really important to you then you should just watch them from around the lake (or the hub of MK), and make dining a separate experience.

Your post sort of makes it sound like you want the best seats at Brown Derby for viewing Fantasmic, but you don't actually view Fantasmic from the restaurant (at least I don't think so). Instead, you get a ticket for priority (reserved or VIP) seating at the next show, so you don't have to stand in line and wait for so long.

The Rose and Crown staff will allocate a party to the next available table that will seat that party. In other words you cannot request an outside table. If you are seated inside they allow those guests outside in time to watch Illuminations

Yes - the outside seating @ R&C is luck of the draw. However, we had dinner @ 8:10Pm, and when we were through, the hostess escorted us down around the front along the water through a roped off area that was reserved for R&C guests. Don't know if that is SOP, of if we just got a nice hostess. Either way, we leaned on the wall and had a great view (about froze our A---S off, though!! It got cold that night!! )

And, with the Fantasmic package, it doesn't really matter what time your dinner reservation is. Your hostess will give you a ticket that you take to a special entrance for the show up to a half hour before showtime. AT the alotted time, the gate opens and you all hike up the hill to the right side seats.
