Of course…because it was fine the way it was…Disney says online reservations for Wailulu Bar & Grill open on December 3, with the earliest available reservation date on December 4, 2025.
Do we know if this is for the full place? Meaning all outdoor seating will have to reserved?Disney says online reservations for Wailulu Bar & Grill open on December 3, with the earliest available reservation date on December 4, 2025.
What do you want think?Do we know if this is for the full place? Meaning all outdoor seating will have to reserved?

I know this is just one small problem but it doesn’t help that gone are the days you could actually resort hop with a car and spend time at the resorts. I’ve been waiting to try this restaurant but can never get through the guard shack to try it. We don’t stay at a Disney resort when in town anymore and I’m not willing to jump through hoops to get into the resorts these days. Disney did it to themselves by cutting off access to people who genuinely want to visit the resorts instead of pay for parking at a theme park.I think it’s pretty simple:
For 20 years people believed reservations were due to “crowding”…which would be an instinctive response.
Sometimes - crappy dining plan era - that was true…
But before and after that is not the reason at all. There’s hardly anyone at these places…it’s just to cut costs/staffing
When old buggers like myself talk about how things have “declined”…this is the kinda thing that surfaces.

Jump through hoops? You mean like take an uber? Or go to the TTC?I know this is just one small problem but it doesn’t help that gone are the days you could actually resort hop with a car and spend time at the resorts. You know Plan Disney is not an official source, and is renowned for incorrect advice? Ultimately it would be up to the CM at the entry shack. The rules were changed recently to allow non-resort guests to park at the Polynesian after 2 pm:

From the website: "planDisney is the official source for Disney vacation planning advice." Their URL is an official Disney URL. That doesn't mean everything they say is correct, but I don't think one should just dismiss all their answers out of hand. You know Plan Disney is not an official source

Certainly not suggesting we discount all their answers, but I would never recommend people accept their replies as set in stone. From the website: "planDisney is the official source for Disney vacation planning advice." Regardless, they're not the only ones saying it:

This New Rule Change Could Make Eating at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort 10X Easier | the disney food blog
Eating at these popular locations might be getting much easier.www.disneyfoodblog.com
You have to PAY for it.You would have to be a moron to even in sarcasm saying ordering a uber to go someplace is jumping through hoops
You can't make ADRs for Waililu Bar & Grill or Tambu Lounge either, so the new policy covers more than just Trader Sam's.In any case if you have an ADR you have always been able to park at a resort. This “new policy” is simply adding Trader Joe’s to the mix, subject to availability.
The planDisney post addressed this anyway: "Keep in mind, though, that parking is subject to availability and hotel Guests will always have priority, so on especially busy days, you may be directed elsewhere."A Cast Member said they could run into a situation where they might not be able to welcome all non-hotel drivers. This will all be based on availability.
The biggest myth ever is there “isn’t enough parking”…except at contemporary (obvious reasons) and beach club before they put the kabosh on open “beaches and cream”You can't make ADRs for Waililu Bar & Grill or Tambu Lounge either, so the new policy covers more than just Trader Joe's.
