This is much welcomed. We stayed there February 2024 and it was extremely dated. I know they had a few test rooms built then but never got to see what they looked like. Love this resort though!

I’m assuming this will be less than spectacular next year as a result. Considering a club level stay next summer but I imagine Newport Bay or New York will be the better choice.

Incidentally, anyone stayed club level? Interested in the breakfast and tea time since we were not terribly impressed by the quick service food last time.

I've only had one Club Level experience at DLP and it was in Sequoia Lodge. It was pre-COVID so things could have changed since then. But I'd say the breakfast buffet was very similar to what you would have in the main buffet. For tea time it was very much 'tea time' as opposed to a late lunch or early dinner' some savoury sandwiches and small desserts similar to what is in the typical hotel evening buffets. Cold/hot drinks available but no alcohol.

Hopefully they announce these details before releasing 2026 bookings.
I honestly doubt they will announce what's going on. I don't think they ever announced the exterior refurbishment that happened that resulted in rooms having scaffolding views out of their windows. I expect they are going to do the room refurbishments in a way that minimises most dispruption by doing a floor of cabin at a time. The lobby area changes again I expect they will just do, they have history of just closing areas of hotels for refurbishment without notice previously. Also I think they are booking through 2027 now or is that just about to go on sale?

As far as I can tell, they’re only booking through March 2026. Very different from how far out they booked pre-pandemic.

Ah. I just checked and they announced the booking window for 2026-2027 opens in early September which is pretty standard I believe. I didn't realise what I saw was a pre-announcement of sales.

IIRC they did mention this on the last Newport exterior refurb.

Also I think next summer goes on sale in September.
