Good thing they didn’t just re-track the entire railroad. That would have been another poor investment!
Disney's mastery of short-sighted decision making is truly worthy of study. I know I don't get it. Still learning.

They could’ve brought in The Zach
to design new rear facing seats.

They really shouldn't be proud of this, they didn't do a good job. Stitch acts like a really stupid five year old. I'm not sure if there's anyone in the company at this point, in any department, that's able to believably write new dialogue for an existing character.
And they already had a thing where Peter Pan and Wendy "land" on the train, so I'm not even sure what angle they're looking at to try and claim this is some unique thing that makes it "radio theater" instead of narration.
