And here I was hoping that meant ITV programming on D+ in the US... Darn BritBox.

Scrubs is my favorite sitcom ever so I'm glad it's coming back. I do fear that we are in a far to "PC" space for the show. But who knows, I'm just hoping it comes close to original. Scrubs was exceptionally good at mixing the seriousness of a hospital with the humor.

In another "this could be seen if one just paid attention moment", broadcast networks are losing viewers and now trail streaming for the first time as reported elsewhere in June.

In a direct quote -

"For years, the mantra of media executives was that streaming represented the future for in-home entertainment. Now, that future has clearly arrived."

So those that still don't believe streaming and digital media distribution is the goal of every studio on the planet, here is your reminder. The goal for every studios IS an eco system that pumps content into every home on the planet and charge you for it where that is self owned or partnered. Its here, its not 5, 10, or 15 years from now, it now now. Legacy media, which unfortunately includes theatrical for the most part, is going away. All the moves the last couple years, and especially this year with companies like Comcast and WB jettisoning their legacy media and keeping streaming is proof that.

We're still a few years away from the complete collapse of legacy media, but this is the start. And I don't know what more needs to be said to those that keep claiming it won't happen and that streaming isn't viable or an "unsure model". Consumers don't care, its what they are using, and studios are leading them there.
