It would have been nice to add Dinos to the route last time it was down, but wdw doesnt deserve nice things

But that’s what they’d be…….temporary infrastructures………..because that’s what this shuttle service is, even if it does turn out to be 5 years.

This is the start of a years long partial closer only a few years after a multi-year full closure. Seems like it would make sense to invest in some redundancies, especially since they’re supposedly preparing space that can be used beyond the tracks that will require closures.

Heck for as much as they have torn up and rebuilt the tracks they could have built an alternate loop somewhere at this point!

Water service is available all throughout the park - you can fill a steam locomotive from any fire hydrant (ask me how I know - it’s definitely possible.

But I’ll continue to say I’m surprised they are even doing this and consider it a major win.

I have a very pedantic question. Are they called ditch lights because they illuminate an upcoming ditch, or because they illuminate obstacles that would cause you to have to ditch (off of the train)?

There are a few different stories as to how they got their name, but the gist of it is that they’re low lying and on the sides, like ditches. They illuminate the track much better than normal headlights and it’s something additional that can help you see an oncoming train.

When there is a dangerous obstacle up ahead, the ditch lights jump off the train and run away.
