Do you have any Disney opinions that you feel differ to many on here?

Maybe that is why I'm upset at the changes they have made (being a Disney adult) since I hate that they put in Frozen for example. I would have rather that they kept Norway the way it was. More for adults. I guess you could also say the same about the rat ride in France. I never saw the movies. I don't care about the movies. I have no reason to see the movies. So these rides as they are mean nothing to me.
To be fair I've still not seen the movie but thoroughly enjoy the ride. I genuinely think had they just made the ride as it is if the film didn't exist, that it would still be as enjoyable if a little bit confusing for those trying to follow the story. For me the enjoyment comes from the effects of being made to feel small and the way at times you don't know whether you're actually moving or not, it's done very well. If you've not ridden this, I suggest you give it a try.

I have to agree with that. I have never seen Cinderella, Toy Story, only one Star Wars movie, 20K leagues under the see, Frozen, one Indian Jones movie, no Pandora, almost any of the Great Movie Ride movies other than Wizard of Oz, Stitch and I'm sure many others that the rides were based on. Yet, for some reason I enjoyed them all just as rides or shows. Why do I have to have seen the movies when they are all self explanatory. I don't know if I would have enjoyed the movies and I will probably never find out, but it was those attractions that kept me coming back all those years.

I did love Pirates of the Caribbean before and after the first movie, which I also liked, but just the first one. I never had the same desire to see any of the next three or whatever number they made. The Star Wars movie I saw was the last one because I wanted to see how they incorporated Hans Solo and Princess Leia after all those years. They done good, except how the handled Hans Solo in the end and what happened to Carrie Fisher later on. I also somewhat recently, saw the last Indiana Jones, again out of curiosity about how there were going to make an 80 year old actor look liked a muscular stud. I am quickly approaching that age and I have all I can do just to get out of bed in the morning. They did that well by making him more like his age. Still haven't ever felt that I am missing something by not seeing the original movie. Honey, I shrunk the Audience with out ever seeing the movie it was based one. It wasn't necessary because all of those attractions were just short little independent stories and were able to have a beginning, a middle and an end.

One of my opinions I feel that differs from many on here is that I do not believe Tom Grossi would be a good narrator for Spaceship Earth when it is time for another refurbishment.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.... WHO?

Unless we could somehow bring Walter Cronkite back to life, I don't really care who narrates it. That guy was the only news man that could tell me that the earth was a cube surrounded by gigantic elephant tusks and primarily made up of spaghetti and meat balls and I would have believed him. Fortunately, he always had enough class to not ever try to convince me of that.

Oh boy

Tom Swayer Island is, for how big it is, kind of a waste of space. The river looks pretty, but there's so much more that could be used in that space. I'm glad they're putting a ride there.

I don't care about the Hall of Presidents, it's just a boring show and I wouldn't mind it getting removed at all.

This is moreso divisive than unpopular, but I think more than anything else, the opinion I don't get here is people saying energy adventure was better than cosmic rewind, or that it's even one of the worst decisions Disney ever made. Like....what??? Energy was possibly the worst ride in the entire resort and it got replaced with the best one. Energy Adventure was boring and ridiculously long, whereas Cosmic Rewind is extremely fun. Obviously roller coasters aren't for everyone, but Energy was far from being a good ride besides the dinosaur section anyway, so it surprises me that people say this.

I don't mind IPs being used in the parks at all. In fact, I actually like it most of the time. My only issue with it is it being a requirement for new rides nowadays. I think both IP and non-IP rides have their places.

Frozen Ever After's placement is fine. The real issue is that they just lazily put Frozen stuff over a different ride.

Toy Story Land is a good land. I think people think too much about it from the adult perspective and not from the kid perspective; yeah, the two new rides aren't amazing or anything, but they're fun and are great for kids what is what the purpose was. Also, Toy Story Mania is one of the best rides in the resort, it's so fun.

Finally, keeping this one for last because it's most suspect to being wrong since I was never actually there, but old EPCOT doesn't sound like it was all that great of a park, and current EPCOT sounds better. Most of the rides were all the same format of edutainment dark ride, and while that's not a bad type of ride by any means, a whole park of just that seems like it would get old and boring very fast. Also, for as much as people hype up Horizons, I watched a ride-view of it expecting it to seem like a fantastic ride that's a lot better than any other ride of that genre....and it really wasn't? Obviously, how good a ride is can be misleading on recording since stuff looks cooler in person, but the ride is both long and boring and half of it is spent staring at nothing. The ending sounds cool only to end up being pointless and doing almost nothing. The cool aspect is seeing the animatronics and sets and stuff, but even that didn't seem like anything particularily special (though of course, like I said earlier, this could be way cooler in person) compared to other dark rides. The Imagination pavillion is the big exception to this though, why did that make it so much worse?

The Iger Mantra is that everything has to cross-promote a movie or it's not good.

I don’t think Toy Story Land is bad, but I think it suffers from too many statue-like objects. My son likes it but prefers World Showcase because it has more things to physically explore and climb on. To be fair he’s not really a Toy Story fan though. And I do think the land is visually very fun and appealing - it just lacks that extra element of immersion, to my mind.

I like parades, and I'm not 9 (or 4...nor do I have young kids anymore). I think Disney does a much better parade than other places, and I especially like the nighttime parades (I'm looking forward to seeing the new one on my next trip). I think the parades are one of the things that set WDW apart from other theme parks.

I also really liked ROL and wish Disney would bring it back. I thought the soundtrack was one of the better ones.

I prefer the WDW Railroad locomotives to those on the DL Railroad because they look so grand and majestic. Seeing those massive engines pulling into Main Street station with their trains is a magical moment for me. The DL locomotives are smaller and thus don’t have that same effect. They do look good, with the Marsh being my favorite, but I prefer WDW’s to them.

I don’t think Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain is that rough. I rode in the front seat last time and it was bumpy at worst. Nothing painful. I actually had a blast and have in fact been on worse coasters *cough* *wheeze* Rockit *hack**cough*

Backlot tour was a shell of itself and needed to be put out of its misery, SOA was a waste of space and Batuu is far better.
Except for the Christmas Time light and music program in the SOA I agree. The rest of the year it was a waste of time and, in those days, film. When I first went they were still making movies there and TV show. The top of the sound stages was really interesting. The backlot tram was far more interesting as well. However, after they ended than Toy Story and Star Wars was a welcome and positive change.

It also taught us that the often used excuse for land use shortage is fixable if they really want. Most of Star Wars and even the new plan for Monsters Inc will be on top of what was once untouchable wet lands. Problems solved by buying another small piece of land and making that a wet land of the same size far away from DHS.
