I never said it was worse than the last versions - and 100% agree its a big improvement, but again, still nowhere near as good as it SHOULD be. It's 2025 not 1995.
There’s certainly figures nowadays with much more realistic facial functions. But I don’t think there’s a human figure at either Disney or Universal with a significantly more accurate face sculpt.

I enjoy the HOP no matter who is president because I love history. I have been to the show since I was a kid and don’t remember who was in office but I do remember falling asleep. By the way, was Carter in the show? I'm just glad it’s open because we’re visiting in 9 days and I figured it wouldn’t be.

AFAIK, every President is in the show.

I didnt realize there were talks about the attraction return.
There are entire threads dedicated to that subject.

It’s pretty much been confirmed the attraction will close soon - I feel like any plans for a retheme are off the table now that Cars is happening - when cars opens they can close presidents and leave it as special event space.

Again Disney unless im mistaken confirmed it was returning so the headline seemed to indicate otherwise like we should be shocked it returned. If it does get closed & rethemed i guess Trump will be a trivia question for decades to come as the Last President featured in the HoP. Pretty cool honor.

I didnt realize there were talks about the attraction return. Maybe im mistaken but Disney said when he was elected the attraction was returning. Todays headline on this site seemed to insinuate otherwise.

They were more vague this time in the past. When it closed they just said "expected" (which doesn't mean definitely) to reopen but no details:

"The Hall of Presidents will temporarily close for refurbishment on January 20, 2025, and is expected to reopen later in 2025.”

And then the sign they had outfront just said "closed for refurbishment" when in the past the signage had said "being prepared to welcome the new President.”

I think most people expected it to reopen since nothing concrete counter to that, but was also the chance they just quietly close it and not reopen it. And has been ideas in the past for replacement (rumors of Muppets popped up again). Definitely didn't feel 100% it was returning and would be with same format with current president speaking

Yes, Jimmy Carter is in the show. Why would he not be? Is he offensive to people with peanut allergies?

They explicitly said it would reopen and that spawned a ton of speculation about how it's permanently closing or getting replaced by Muppets?

Good grief.

Did they say it was expected to reopen on that one or just say it was being refurbished?

The new animatronic looks just like him, but it almost seems like his facial expressions are not as advanced. Anyone else see what I'm seeing here? The mouth movements appear to be simply opening and closing, without any forming of an "o" shape, like it used to. I've only watched the "other site's" video so it isn't the highest quality
Quoting this because I think it got missed amongst all the politics. Does anyone else think the mouth movement is not as good as before?
