So, talking about the future of this attraction.... As I've made clear before, I really hope this continues to exist indefinitely.

As others and myself have said, they should announce whatever post 2028 election plans before the election - or even more ideally before the primary season so there's really no bias at all in terms of doing whatever in reaction to any individual candidate. Personally, I think they should just remove having the sitting President say anything; that was the original setup of the show and it didn't change until Clinton was President. I think having the current President just be announced lessens a large part of the issues that few but sometimes vocal viewers have. If they feel the need to add something else, it should either be more narration or adding another older President (didn't Adams and Jefferson say stuff once upon a time?). Also not doing anything with a newly elective President will allow for a quicker turnover after an election and less downtown.

I cannot express how happy I am to see this reopen. Especially in time for July 4.

I think American Adventure does a great job and is a bit more timeless and less controversial/easier to keep likeable for all guests without conflicts... Time for this show to go, in my personal opinion.

Not because it's the show's fault, or Disney's fault, or even the politicians faults... Its the guests. Last time I went, one half of the audience cheered for a certain president, and then the other half did a louder cheer. Security started walking down and stayed in sight the rest of the show. Very uncomfortable.

Time to just move on. One can say "guests should behave better" all they want, but they won't. No sense in making that moot argument. So lets get something else now please.
NO!! So we give in and placate the idiots? Throw them out and start making examples out of them…

You're talking a minimum of 30 minutes, and that's the quickest it could possibly be. Keep in mind that there's sometimes an extended queue for the monorail, and sometimes the ferry, first thing in the morning.

If news broke that the attraction was reopening today right around when the park opened, they'd have to have already been there or en route before news broke to get a video up as quickly as they did, especially considering the shows run every 30(?) minutes.
The more likely explanation is just that a Disney employee tipped Tom off. He does seem to have pretty good sources these days.

(cross post from the Muppet thread (RIP for 4 years))

Good on Disney for taking the high road and not giving in to childish discourse.

I can't wait for my next visit to go see the attraction! Whenever I do visit, I expect to likely only spend a half day in MK as I prefer Epcot and AK but this assures some nice air conditioning while I visit a couple of things at the park. I've seen every president since dubya and this will certainly be a historic one with Trump serving non-consecutive terms.

I'm already doing a bunch of travel next year but if Disney goes all out for the 250th birthday of the country, I might just make a quick visit instead of waiting for 2027.

Care to elaborate?
Not sure theres much else to say than what I originally said, as a reminder the quote about how lifelike the new animatronic would supposedly be. The one that somehow once again looks nothing at all close to being accurate, and that in this day and age it's a tad inexcusable, especially when you compare it to other recent models of people being at a much higher level (see Epic, Potter).

And to be clear I'm not talking about the actual animatronic technology, I'm talking purely on the frankly amateurish modeling.

Did you visit the MK today?

Were you looking at the right president?

Sigh...ok lets end this utterly pointless discussion right there as clearly clicking links or looking at one of the 50+ photos we now have or the 20+ videos on youtube is too difficult for some folks. Have a pleasant evening.
I’ve seen the figure. In pictures, on video, and in person. He looks much better than the past two versions. Definitely better than any of the other modern presidents also. Acting like it looks nothing like him is ridiculous and claiming any human figures at epic are substantially more on-model is absurd.

I never said it was worse than the last versions - and 100% agree its a big improvement, but again, still nowhere near as good as it SHOULD be. It's 2025 not 1995.
