This was perfect timing to reopen it to celebrate the 4th, the park needs this capacity since a huge chunk is about to go down, and it was only right that they do a better animatronic of the current president. In the future who knows, but for now accept it and either go or don't, the forum is to discuss show details. This is the way the show has been done for over 50 years.

Is Grover Cleveland mentioned twice in the roll call now, as President Trump is?
While I haven't yet seen it, Trump is probably only mentioned once after Biden. Cleveland is mentioned once in his place after his first election. If HOP manages to make it past the next election, Trump will go back to after Obama. The new President likely after Biden.

The fact they have security posted throughout the attractions entrance and building is kinda insane lmao. Cast members are asking people to be silent/quiet during the show too, which bless their hearts for thinking people won’t be cheering/booing specific names during the long name read
There was one very bored security CM in the theater, and none in the lobby, at least when I saw the show. There was also no warning about quietness, which was almost universally observed anyway.

Correct. They only mentioned Trump once, not twice.

I enjoy HoP, but is it so absurd that some people may dread what it inevitably brings out in folks, even if they themselves like the attraction? Nobody wants to go Disney and hear people cheer or boo for whichever evil man on the stage they prefer (because most of them are, though some more than others). They want to enjoy a show. Some guests don’t always want to allow that to happen.

I would like to see it stay, but I also understand that at some point it becomes more trouble than it is worth. It’s not there yet but if trends continue, it’ll get there.
That's the 'crybaby' culture I detest. We as a society should be able to see a robot likeness of a POTUS we don't like and not boo. In other words, if a random guest has a problem seeing a robotic likeness of a POTUS they take issue with, and have a verbal outburst, it's their issue, not Disney's. They are the minority.

With that said, HoP will ultimately be replaced in the medium term, it's just a matter of when and with what IP. The reasons for it have little to do with the aforementioned cultural issues, but more the same reasons that The Great Movie Ride closed: 'relevancy'.

Regardless of political affiliation, the audience has gotten sufficiently immature that they can't just take the theme park attraction for what it is. It's to the point where I don't want to take my kids to this show anymore because it's just not a pleasant experience. And that's why I think it should be closed. Too many people ruin the experience and I would rather have that capacity used for something that everyone can enjoy without the constant heckling and obscenities.
