I actually disagree with him on quite a few of his conclusions, but at least he is regularly and consistently making a lot of content with focus, logic and design sense behind them. Too many Disney vlogs out there just are variations on a “we don’t know, but wouldn’t be cool if“ type of conjecture, while Brickey takes the time to pour over the nitty-gritty design decisions that would need to be made.
Agreed. Brickey and FreshBaked are the only two DLR vloggers I pay attention to. They're the only ones who thoughtfully break down their ideas with evidence and research and actually seem to know whether what they're saying is logical or not.

I think being Disneyland focused and consistently pumping out content helps too

In all honesty are there very many DL Vloggers that actually focus on the construction side outside of some "hey there is a project coming up" mentions besides those two? I think they are the only ones that focus specific content on in-depth construction discussions at this point.

There have been many DL Vloggers out there over the years, and most of them just do "hey spend the day with me in Disneyland" type of content.

Maybe his construction content is better, but I tried to watch a Brickey video and I couldn't finish it (it was the one about the Plaza Inn). Just not my sort of presentation style at all. Maybe I picked the wrong video, but based on that I'm not running out looking for more.

Fresh Baked, by contrast, has grown greatly in my estimation over the past year or so.

It's not his "construction" content, per se, but his "What might they be planning... Iet's look at the clues and see why what a lot of people are thinking isn't what will happen," type stuff that I like.

Speaking of Freshbaked, he posted a video today showing that the park was absolutely slammed on Tuesday. I guess the 70th and that Summer ticket deal are bringing in the bodies. Summer might not be the “off season” that’s been the last few years this year. Opening up the MK sales right before Summer might be contributing too.

It's been like this for a while, weekdays are very very busy, and then weekends quiet. It was amazing last year when we visited how different Wednesday and Thursday were, compared to Friday and Saturday.

We left the Sunday, but that day was even better, so I wish we had done Thursday-Sunday.

But there are a lot more discounts this year than last, so possibly super busy all week now.

That’s strange since the lower tier MKs are blocked out. Theoretically with lower tier MKs blocked out and the fact that it’s summer you’d think there’d be more parity between the weekends and weekdays.

Im usually there on Sunday’s which are usually not too bad by modern standards or Friday’s which are quite blissful from morning through early afternoon.

I know the theory from MiceChat is that weekdays are typically the cheaper summer ticket price now, with summer weekends at peak pricing, so it seems to pull more people to plan days during the week.

Oh right I was so focused on MK blackouts and the fact that those 3 day Summer tickets are good 7 days a week I forgot about the tiered pricing for single day tickets. I guess that’ll do it. Still interesting that tier pricing outweighs or at least counteracts the MK blackouts that much.

Right, I'd be very interested in the demographics coming on weekdays. I assume it must be locals doing a 1 day ticket, or MK's that are blocked out but need a day in the park?

I know it didn't matter much to us, since we were getting 4 day tickets.

Yeah it has to just be a lot of single day tickets thinking they re getting a deal and will probably get less crowds than the weekends to boot. If only they knew that the extra $30-$40 pp is so worth it. I guarantee you most would pay more if they knew the value difference.

With all of that said I think the 70th will also make sure that this summer is busier than years past and if I’m not mistaken this is the first year (or maybe second?) they offer the Summer deal so that will contribute to crowds overall too.

Summer deal, and they brought back Canadian discounts finally (damn you Disney, during our boycott!)

I have another argument against a drop for the ride. Seemingly both Avatar and Avengers will lack a wheelchair accessible vehicle. Monsters Inc has one. If Coco doesn't have a drop, it can have a wheelchair accessible vehicle. If it does, the resort has a net loss of one attraction that is wheelchair accessible, and there already aren't many attractions that are.

Please show us on the doll where you were personally victimized by every drop ever.

I wouldn't assume that either or even both Avatar and Avengers attraction will lack a dedicated wheelchair vehicle, since we don't know the exact experience they may still find a way to include one. Heck even having a drop doesn't preclude one from being added, there are ways to still have a drop and include a dedicated wheelchair vehicle. While I personally don't think a drop is needed or warranted for an attraction like Coco, having a dedicated wheelchair vehicle is not the reason to not include a drop.

Also I don't think having one or more of the new attractions not having a dedicated wheelchair vehicle is a "loss". As long as there are ways to experience the attraction, ie transfer or other means, its still a net positive. As real "loss" would be if they didn't include some provision for guests that need it into the new attraction, which we know Disney will never do now.

It's a loss because Monsters Inc has one. Also, both Shanghai Pirates and Tokyo Peter Pan don't have wheelchair accessible vehicles. There are lots of people who cannot transfer.
