a big salad?
I think they’ll do something. How much effort they put into it will be the issue. The contractor promised a more durable fix and delivered something that quickly fell into disrepair again. The question is whether they give them yet another long window to manufacture something “better” or just switch gears entirely.i do wonder if with the lights popping up and even with the ugly screws r STILL popping, i wonder if this is enough for disney to try to push out yet another new hub for epcot. i dont think it will but i can dream
Say, who was in charge of WDW and then the Parks when all those changes were first approved and then reformulated to what we have now?Only to back down and build something as bland as Communicore Hall which functionally is not that different from what they already tore down. The light-up logo in the concrete that cannot function after a basic Florida rainstorm plus the fact that this area took 5 years to construct. Sterile as he may be, I don't think Iger is stupid. Anyone with two functioning brain cells could see that this was a massive waste of time, money and resources for the company.
I believe Bob Chapek.Say, who was in charge of WDW and then the Parks when all those changes were first approved and then reformulated to what we have now?
Just leave the bottle of ketchup.Dressing?
Chapek, D'amaro, Vahle, and all the same today except chapek. So not expecting any miracles but its just pathetic they need to do something.I believe Bob Chapek.
Need to pee now.
Here's an average meeting with all 3 of themChapek, D'amaro, Vahle, and all the same today except chapek. So not expecting any miracles but its just pathetic they need to do something.
Wait, what we have now was the fix?I think they’ll do something. How much effort they put into it will be the issue. The contractor promised a more durable fix and delivered something that quickly fell into disrepair again. The question is whether they give them yet another long window to manufacture something “better” or just switch gears entirely.
I think someone in the know previously stated that the original installation did not exhibit the durability originally promised, so the re-installation around Festival of the Holidays was a different, supposedly more durable solution (easily observed just by looking at the different material finish). That has also obviously not worked out, so the question is whether they allow this vendor to continue trying or switch gears.Wait, what we have now was the fix?
Josh was WDW president in 18/19 when these plans were first developed, and Parks chairman in mid-2020 when they were adjusted to what we have now.I believe Bob Chapek.
Chapek was CEO at the time so he had to sign off on it.Josh was WDW president in 18/19 when these plans were first developed, and Parks chairman in mid-2020 when they were adjusted to what we have now.
But Josh is part of the problem, too. So let's not delude ourselves...none of the possible CEO candidates fill me with hope for the future of the parks.Chapek was CEO at the time so he had to sign off on it.
There was nothing physically impossible about the DS+R building. The whole purpose of building it was that it was an expensive showpiece.I understand the sentiment but any sane businessperson would look at how they tore down Communicore West to try to replace it with a structure that would have been physically impossible to build. Only to back down and build something as bland as Communicore Hall which functionally is not that different from what they already tore down.
I agree. The next CEO should be an outsider or we will just see more of the same. But Josh is part of the problem, too. So let's not delude ourselves...none of the possible CEO candidates fill me with hope for the future of the parks.
