I think "expected to be squeezed between" still indicates that this is Brady's take on it, not necessarily an official description. While the entrance is going to be nestled between Incredicoaster and Paradise Gardens, that doesn't mean the show building will.

Seems to track with a rumor FreshBaked heard. Where there’s smoke there’s fire? Why would someone assume they’d be cramming this show building in between all that stuff? Seems like an odd assumption to make. That wouldn’t be the typical assumption in this scenario. Unless Brady listens to Fresh Baked haha.

How would this space compare to Tangled or Hong Kong Frozen?

Using the measure option Google maps, I'm getting about 55,367.89 ft² in that space, based on my best guess of how it would fit, keep road in tact for parades. Of course, this full removes the backstage road?

Maybe I’m just trying to create healthy expectations but in my mind this is going from D ticket adventure to fun little dark ride diversion off the pier. If that’s closer to what it is that’s how they should be marketing it. Not by mentioning POTC and Mansion. And most people would be thrilled with a having a real dark ride in a sea of flat rides off the pier… when expectations are in check. Then again Coco and the fact that is a boat ride already creates its own set of expectations. Over at DLR we don’t know anything about short boat rides.

I am hopeful for at least the length of Gran Fiesta Tour, which is about 6.5-7 minutes.

I think whoever spoke to FB might have simply been speaking generally. Sure, it’s going between the restaurants and the roller coaster. How much of that is show building and how much of that will be hallway of queue remains to be seen.

It’s a little like if someone in 1992 said, “They’re building an Indiana Jones ride between the Treehouse and the Jungle Cruise!” And someone else says, “No, they’re building it behind the Jungle Cruise.”

Both can be right.

I mean I agree, I want more haha. Maybe I should say, 6.5-7 minutes is the bare minimum that I'd be happy with.
I don’t think Disney knows how to make mid-size attractions anymore. Either It’s Shanghai Pirates or Tangled now. Maybe Frozen Ever After scale is the best we can hope for?

I think Coco will have as much in common with Pirates (even the MK version) as Mermaid has with Haunted Mansion.

I think whoever told FreshBaked mentioned that the parade building would be staying or at least it was insinuated as such. But who knows how long of a game of telephone we’re dealing with.

Just the fact that there will be water and we’ll be inside a dark show building all but ensures this. Mermaid is a musical and it’s isn’t very dark for the most part. The comparison to Mansion ends at the ride system.

All I know is I thought Magic Kingdom would get the Coco treatment "beyond big thunder". Instead they are getting a Cars thing where the ROA once lived, and DCA gets Coco - west coasters win again!
Agreed. The tease when they shared Coco & Encanto going to that space and then seeing it get changed to Cars... 😬 Coco in DCA excites me much more than the Cars project in MK. And not just because I'm a west coaster.
Now, Villains on the other hand... 😅

but I am most excited for Coco out of all the DCA projects.

The transition from Coco to Villains land would've been chef's kiss.

Villain's feels right for MK at least, especially as it's kinda the Beyond Haunted Mansion.

Will be a good excuse to visit.

I think that's my biggest issue, when they teased "Beyond Big Thunder", I think we all though that meant really expanding outside the borders of the park, behind the coaster/ROA.

Y’all worshipping Brickey like he’s got some divine knowledge
I actually disagree with him on quite a few of his conclusions, but at least he is regularly and consistently making a lot of content with focus, logic and design sense behind them. Too many Disney vlogs out there just are variations on a “we don’t know, but wouldn’t be cool if“ type of conjecture, while Brickey takes the time to pour over the nitty-gritty design decisions that would need to be made.
